  2. "MIDDLETOWN, OH - A 32-year-old woman was sentenced to a month in the Middletown Jail Monday after she was arrested and charged with chasing children, blocking traffic and yelling at police - all while wearing a cow costume"... http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/a...10007/1167/NEWS
  3. Right. They have big bucks forked over and promised to McKelvin. Unless McGee is totally shot, they won't pay big $$$ for Greer.
  4. How about "All We are Saying...is give Ralph 2 years". ...the GOP legislation that has Estate Tax dropping to zero in 2010, then goes up to 55% in 2011 on a 1 million dollar or above estate, personal, or on that business or house you hoped to pass on to your children. I encourage one and all to die in 2010 - it's a one-time offer never to be repeated!
  5. Eh. Back-up Kenny Watson's pretty much out with a groin injury, and #3 Dorsey goes to IR. They need a warm body. Chris Henry is active this week, but his roster exemption is only 1 week. Wonder what will happen then. After the 18 seasons since Mike Brown inherited the club from his late Dad, Paul Brown, they have 1 one winning season and 1 playoff game. He knows that pro football fans will reliably fill his free place of business. Even if they don't, the tv, trinket money, the visiting gate, the seat license money socked away keeps him rolling in income year after year after year. See also MLB's Pittsburgh Pirates. I think other owners are happy to see perennial punching bags like CIN and AZ. Slap them around, get their own fans excited and buying the trinkets.
  6. He wouldn't be the first player with a big pile of signing bonus jingle who decided p*ss on the possibility of getting banged up. Take that signing $$$ and salary until you get cut, invest the cash into conservative things, and live on high 5 figures for the rest of your life and never have to go to work again, if you choose.
  7. IIRC - and this goes back a while - didn't you have to disable your firewall to gain entry? Is this still so, if ever it was?
  8. In the rare instances I tune into MNF, I turn the volume down to near zero. My tv's mute function displays a non-removable lilac-colored, large sized MUTE to remind me that I have committed the sin of not wanting to listen to programming or advertising blather, and thus I must be punished.
  9. Sorry for your loss D2D. I hope the type of leukemia your Dad suffered with wasn't harsh on him. Bless his soul.
  10. If you really cared, you would have reviewed your spelling.
  11. They are 2 - 2, scored 106 and gave up 103. Of their 4 games so far, 3 of them were on the road. Their HC Wisenhunt has a competent pedigree. I agree with you, John. Their Jets game was an odd one - 34 points by NYJ in the 2nd, 21 in the 3nd by AZ, 14 by AZ in the forth and 22 by NYJ in the 4th. 35 2nd half points by AZ makes one think that that they have some fangs, even accounting for NYJ sitting on a fat lead. I would have loved to have seen that game - my guess is that the Jets' coaches played the prevent game in the 3rd and got an education about how a hefty lead can evaporate when you play a cutie-pie prevent.
  12. There are plenty of 350 lb pro football players that drive Bentleys, Rolls, Lexus's, big BMW sedans. big SUVs and the like. I'm not being a wiseguy here. Most manufacturers (not all - Ferrari, Maserati and the like) have handicap adaptation programs. GM, Ford, and Chrysler have the best programs - the Japanese and European manufacturers aren't so good. You've probably never seen a Toyota van with chair lifts... But I don't think any of them accommodate (or are forced by law) to provide heavy-duty seats for heavier people. I'm not aware of especial heavy-duty seats. But they may be out there - and if so, I'd think they would be quite pricey. A manufacturer of such would have to attain certification of compliance with Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (MVSS) which is a costly undertaking, as well as documented destructive testing during all manufacturing runs.
  13. Thank you, Tenny. I'm always pleased to see that our mutual blustering is fair and balanced.
  14. I'm glad the Steelers won (gag reflex kicks in ). For the Bills' wild card possibilities, it's best that one team rises to win the AFC North, and the rest have middling or losing records. and are out of the wild card picture.
  15. I haven't seen any Bills game, so if you say they aren't using them much, I believe you. But in principle, you are right. I'm a fan of screens, and of pass-catching RBs. And in bad weather, howling winds - it's very useful to be adept at screen passing. And if you have to go to an inexperienced back-up QB, they certainly help him out.
  16. Campbell's Chicken Noodle soup, with Hostess cupcakes and 4 slices of white bread to dip with. Lay's Wavy Chips with a can of squirt cheese. A large bag of ginger snaps with milk. A pound of bacon fried up with nobody else to witness. A pound of bologna. Peanut butter and a spoon. Your pick of any chocolate-based candy bar. A quart of orange juice for you and you alone. A bag of bubble gum. Just a short list. Others posters, fee free to add!
  17. In a backhanded way - with wink-wink support explaining away...
  18. Are you going to fly to NYC for another new outfit if Obama, Inc. wins?
  19. Please cite where I quoted Coulter... Your Marixist indoctrination was swallowed whole. denigrate, belittle, lie. I'm curious - do you work in the public sector?
  20. Good luck. Like it or not, DAL games are advertising gold bullion falling from heaven for affiliates. And the league. I keep track. Last season, 11 of 16 regular season DAL games were televised in the cinci market - so far this year here, all 4 of their games. In fact, last year here, we were gifted with 32 NFC East games. So far this season - 10 games. It will grow because the AFC North squares off against the NFC East this season. I'm looking for 40 NFCE appearances.
  21. Another one of your tries to duck, Tenny. Pelosi promised great things in the 1st hundred days of their takeover. I guess we all missed the efforts of her, Reid, and Frank to address the looming doom that was put into action by Carter and reinforced by the "I gotta be loved" Bill. (Speaking of Carter - and knowing you have some Far East experience - what do you think things would be like if the Peanut Farmer didn't hoist himself on his self-righteousness, acted like an authentic head of State , and supported the Shah?) Maybe you could provide a link or two about how those illuminaries were going to address the situation?
