  1. That's less than individual contracts for some top NFL QBs.
  2. Go Bills! ...edited...
  3. Didn't you say that LIN wants 0.7 cents per day? I'm just trying to help out my fellow Bills fans...
  4. There's also W.I.C. - The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children. http://www.fns.usda.gov/wic/WIC-Fact-Sheet.pdf
  5. I am willing to sponsor a Bills fan. As long as I get a photograph sent to me, along with letters now and then, I will send a monthly check to LIN in the amount of 30 cents.
  6. Exactly...probably none, unless they're trying to screw some player out of roster bonus money. I'll play my broken record again...Mike Brown.
  7. "Probable cause The NFL injury report, followed closely each week by Bengals fans, has evolved through the decades to keep a step ahead of gamblers, fantasy players - and even Bill Belichick By Mark Curnutte Cincinnati Enquirer October 5, 2008 ..."The most recent change was made following the 2006 season by then-rookie commissioner Roger Goodell. Some teams, primarily the New England Patriots under head coach Bill Belichick, were notorious for playing games with their injury reports. For example, from 2005 through most of the 2007 season, Belichick listed starting quarterback Tom Brady as probable with a right shoulder injury. During that time, Brady appeared in 127 straight regular-season games. For years, as well, Belichick would list players as questionable, never doubtful. He also had weeks of fun with former receiver Deion Branch's "knee ailment.""... http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/a...0420/1066/SPT02
  8. Wow. He must be really, badly injured, after sitting out a couple of contests so far this season. Watson is fine RB...picked holes, excellent blocker and receiver. A favorite of QB Palmer. It can't be $$$ - Watson is somewhere around league minimum for position and years of service. So-so RB DeDe Dorsey with nice garbage-time stats went on IR this week, FB Jeremi Johnson gone on IR before season start, so this leaves them with the recent acquisition of the long-idled Cedric Benson, a questionable oft-injured Chris Perry tied for the league lead in RB fumbles, a 2nd year converted TE Dan Coats at FB, a 2nd year waiver pick-up, FB Regan Maui'a who played for pass-crazy Hawaii, as well as 2 starters short in the defensive backfield and an iffy Palmer. However - WR Chris Henry looks to be active. I see the plan - HB option from Benson to Henry. Oh - they visit DAL tomorrow. Place yer bets!
  9. Absolutely...Your Show of Shows. What a cast, what a collection of writing talent...every now and then, one of the still-extant filmed episodes of the live show turns up. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Your_Show_of_Shows While on the subject of the old stuff, for the pleasure of those that like such wit - here's a transcript of one of the more memorable Groucho Marx You Bet Your Life shows. Enjoy... http://www.mattneuman.com/youbet.htm
  10. Yeah. More social engineering to garner votes. Good plan. Every American deserves to be housed in a walled community.
  11. Like the Boy Scout motto: "Be Prepared". If beforehand, your cable, or dish failed yet power to your tv remained, would it not have been prudent to have an antenna already? BTW, if you have one of the ubiquitious 50-cent coax-to-pigtail adapters (I probably have accumulated 5 of them), a wire coat hanger, and some tape, you can cobble up an antenna. All simple things to do. You don't even need an adapter, just one of those pieces of coax we all have hanging around. Screw or shove in one end, take a knife, cut and peel the other end of the cable, and tape up the ends of your coat hanger to the coax conducting wrap and core. Gawd - what a bunch of whining folks so many have become...any bump in the road, it's "somebody is screwing me and somebody else has to pay". Even over something as cheesy and minor as an NFL football game...
  12. The Dems have a majority in the House. They could have passed it without a single GOP vote. Right?

  14. For a chronic provacateur, I suppose so this time.
  15. That's right. His bolded, large-font F-U Jackass response to a poster was a model of the decorum and the good ol' gosh-darn-it civility that we all should emulate.
