  1. Same here. It was a throw-in for some cheap video card years ago. I've bought a couple of cheap vid card since, and Nero is there along with the other stuff you can load. It does the job, and I'm used to it. I guess other programs do a better job regarding features and space savings. I don't care - the last time I bought a pack of CD-R platters, they were something like 50 cents apiece.
  2. I would whack TO and Evans within the allowed 5 yards. Most WRs are crybabies, and they would be in a snit after a few smacks and start pouting and lose focus. Against the blitz - run a quick snap to an up FB up the middle 4 or 5 times a game. Given that most DCs are cowards, this would freak them out and they would do panicky things. Use it especially on the zone blitz clubs. A big FB playing up with a quick count following a G-C-G straight-ahead push will get you 3 yards or more while they fancy-fart around.
  3. Featuring a strong quick passing game means short passes, so the D figures that out and pulls close to the LOS and breaks receivers into bite-size bits, and are also in position to squash the run. They gladly risk the odd bomb. Yes, Edwards may well remain upright. He can say Hi to Lindell as he trots to the sidelines.
  4. If so, then they better find the way to maintain that pocket...
  5. Alien was intense. I saw it on tv, and remember getting up several times and walking around the room like the proverbial cat in a roomful of rocking chairs. Yiiiii ! It must have been really something in a darkened movie theater...
  6. Assuming it was a Ford factory warranty, it's cheap insurance. With all the complexity in today's vehicles, repairs are very, very steep.
  7. B'gals Aaron Brooks got a year for driving drunk twice. He went to all the meetings, then came back, and was swept up in the Vick publicity and Goodell having to be a tough guy for appearances' sake . So Brooks got another year. He kept up his AA meetings, reaffirmed his no-booze life. He came back, but missed a date - his fault - so he got another year from Roger. He filed suit - the ADA considers alcoholism as a disability. I wonder where that lawsuit is? - the decision if it ever comes about could be a big thing in pro football. Compared to Brooks, MW got off light. Or Brooks got stabbed because of the Vick publicity.
  8. Happy B'Day, Gents!
  9. Thanks for the link, Jerry!
  10. What suffering? 10 million+ in the bank before showing up for work, plus whatever is in the contract? Life is so hard...
  11. Your recipe forgot to cut in the potatoes and paste in the butter.
  12. People trying to turn corn on the cob into an eclectic gourmet experience with special ingredients, procedures and biting methodology. It's corn. The end is near, Beerball... But before it happens, I shall ask folks about how they prepare and consume rutmus.
  13. I hope they have corn on the cob and eat it in random fashion. People that insist a strict plan of attack to a pleasure such as corn on the cob need to be severely shaken until they see sense (insert hands-on-hip smiley).
  14. If you think Walker is a self-centered baby, go to a game and swivel your head and ears around the crowd and witness the large numbers cursing non-stop, threatening others, blocking other folks' view of the game, passing out, vomiting etc. Good Lord, the man makes a few comments and people want to fit him with concrete shoes...
  15. R.I.P. sailor... The poem High Flight, by Pilot Officer Gillespie Magee , No. 412 squadron, RCAF (died 11 December 1941)... http://www.deltaweb.co.uk/spitfire/hiflight.htm
  16. No - Congress is talking about "qualified plans". One of several tools that will be used to eliminate the private insurance sector, this one will force folks that simply want to purchase catastrophic coverage at a reasonable rate to buy whatever is considered "qualified", and low cost plans won't fork over enough $$$ to the government. They won't qualify. Another provision is that any change in an existing plan - even something as minor as an addition or deletion of a covered Rx - would require any affected individual to go into a government plan. Add in benefits tax, forcing smaller businesses to pay for benefits or be taxed, taxation of individuals that don't have current coverage (I read an estimate - the Feds expect to reap $36 billion from individuals), HMO-style "gateway" panels to allow/disallow procedures and claims, mandated end-of-life counseling (instead of care) for seniors, and so on... idea being to let people with certain conditions, or of a certain age - to die. The main idea being to reduce people's disposable income, and bind them ever strongly to the government umbilical cord.
  17. Yes - I've read this and that through the years about such suits - although I can't recall seeing somebody sink 70K into one of these paper mills. There must be 3 or 4 outfits that advertise on tv here in Cincy, in the afternoon. The gov't $$$ flowing into education did the same there as it did with medicine - it distorts the market as the money gets pumped and pumped in, fueling inflation. And new players jump in - these paper mills. It's no coincidence that health care and education have been the leaders in price inflation. Some of the figures for tuition increases, fees and books through the years are eye popping.
  18. I can't watch that guy's show. Except when the camera's on him, it spends maybe 3 seconds on any food then switches the view. It's like a strobe light show to me.
  19. Happy B'Day!
  20. Life today is not like a box of chocolates. It is like being the ball on a ping-pong table.
  21. Johnson, too. Both big linebackers that hit, that responded well to their coaching when they got in as injury replacements. CINs DC Zimmer is a zone blitz fan. Maualuga falling into their lap in rnd 2 was his dream come true.
