  1. DB. He hits hard and has that proverbial nose for the ball. A noticeable ST tackler. To me, he would be a surprise cut unless there was injury involved. CIN has a glut at DL and LB, but not at DB. Also, they have switched '08 #5 DT Jason Shirley to guard. That reinforces the thought that they've dug in their heels re #6 Andre Smith and the $$$ he wants.
  2. BUF should take a look at Kyries Hebert if he doesn't make the cut at CIN. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kyries_Hebert http://www.nfl.com/players/kyrieshebert/si...ts?id=HEB633435
  3. gist because?
  4. Yer sacbee link wants me to log in.
  5. Worry not - anyone could make a case for fitting me with a muzzle. I like to post for effect - from time to time... I do some of my best work around 5 PM, when I then log off and get supper going.
  6. This TO, had a toe, Had a toe got sprained oh no. With a knick knack paddywhack, give the toe a blow TO won't be a no-show.
  7. Go rub your crystal balls and tell us what comes up.
  8. Feel free to rip anything I post to shreds! This Maybin thing is probably just the usual drama queen stuff that seems to waft around high picks not yet signed. WRs seem to get the Oscar for such... I'm interested to see him play - I can't recall watching him at PSU last year. I read words like "one-trick pony" and can't play the run etc. And that he's greased lightening off the edge. So...we have something to look forward to.
  9. I'd cry too, if there were millions within my grasp...and be happy to say that the reason for my sobbing was my love of the game and go on and wring my hands about these evil forces all around me. Those forces that can't find their way to give me more millions so I can dry my eyes and unburden my heavy heart. It's tough being 21, and not being able to sign a contract for millions of dollars. I'm a victim of needing more money. It's not my fault! - that darn extra money is keeping me away from - my love of the game.
  10. I think so, too. I mentioned Ethan Kilmer several posts above. From what I know about his pro play and his story at PSU, I'd say he'd be the last to walk away from a situation. 3 people walking out within a week or so, people wanting to really stick around and get a paycheck - I've never seen that. I wonder what's up.?
  11. Was that early on in his career here? Don't go and pick a fight with me - I'm just asking.
  12. I didn't take offense at SKOOBY's postings. I suppose some were flaky, but this the internet and flaky things are pretty much the norm. Yes, he was a bit rambunctious, but I can't recall the fellow ever sticking a snotty knife into anyone. Not like you and I have been known to do. "Here and there - now and then - to this one and that one." Find the source of that quote.
  13. Brandon? IIRC, that's BF's Christian name. Uh-oh. They will be after me now...
  14. OK - are you in favor of this site being sued out of existence for copyright violations?
  15. Please...are you in favor of copyright violations?
  16. OK - fork over an additional 30% of your disposable income.
  17. I think Collinsworth made a comment about the Chinese fire drill going on in the Titan's defensive backfield when GH was in - a bunch of iffy players running around (more or less picking their noses). Preseason stuff. Same for Omon. Who could begin to count the number of rbs that looked like the 2nd coming of Jim Brown, in the preseason? Then they get cut, and no other team is out there burning up the phones to ink them to a contract. Then they show up in camp next year. And cut again. There are only 53 seats on the bus.
  18. Neons, Cavaliers, late-model Ford Escorts. Ford/Merc Tempo/Topaz. These vehicles sold in huge numbers, and provided decent transportation. Huge amounts of good spare parts out there in the junkyards. Repairs are cheap and easy to do - most any mechanic that can spell his own name can fix these straightforward vehicles. If I were down on my luck and had to have a car, I'd look toward these.
  19. That's a fair point. I see bad things if they try to make it a usual thing during the regular season. I'm not worried about penalties. I'm worried about things like a young line (the defensive vets have the savvy to exploit that already), things like a new C, and crowd noise. How well do the signals get transmitted in a hostile environment? Can this be like calling an audible on every play? Out of 32 teams, only one announces, beats a drum for a no-huddle? I think they are doing it to gin up ticket sales. If I am proven wrong - which would be good - feel free to resurrect my words and and shove 'em in my face.
  20. Yup. Getting good at masonry in any commercial sense doesn't happen in a day and a half. More like several years...
