From the Crimson Tide to the Bulls. Wow.

You know who was the surefire QB prospect in the 2017 draft? Mitchell Trubisky. The Bears even traded up one spot to make sure they got him. 👍

Troy isn't Alabama. (Wait... Actually it is in Alabama.)

Who will be this year's Terrell Bernard??
PromoTheRobot replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
Joe Andreesen did. 👹 -
So how did he get signed out of a tryout, which is the hardest way to make an NFL roster? Also it's worth noting bottom of the roster players often get cut and resigned due to roster gymnastics. The real tell won't be known until the practice squad is named before the season starts.

PSL Pricing/Seat Selection Discussion

I remember the Oranges in the old Aud. Those rows were steep! But one advantage to steep rows for us tall folk is more leg room. -

Cold is cold. The sub-zero Pats playoff game was almost windless. Still a brutal experience for geezers like me. I thought heated sections were going to be the concession to those who wanted a dome. -

Pro tip: buy them resale. Most season ticket holders dump preseason games at a deep discount. Even with fees you'll save a lot. You might save even more if you wait till closer to game time. -

It's going to be much like Gillette Stadium. If you've ever been in the top deck, the view is nice but you are wayyy up there -
PSL Pricing/Seat Selection Discussion

So they did eliminate any heated non-club seating. 🤬 I'm very disappointed. As upset as I was over the new stadium not having a dome, I figured a heated, covered seat would be the next best thing. Well that looks like it's out the window. I don't have the means to get club seats. -

I think features like heating are getting pruned back due to cost overruns. -
UB football and Lancaster High School product signs a deal with the Bills. What an achievement for any player to sign an NFL contract, but for a kid who grew up cheering for the Bills and got noticed playing for a poor UB program anyway. Signed off a tryout! Pure heart and guts got him here, even if he doesn't get further than this.

Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
PromoTheRobot replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
I suspect the secrecy is more about not being locked in promising certain features if they decide to skip them to cut cost. Like heated seats. That survey indicated there would be heated seats in non-club sections. I suspect that isn't the case anymore. -
I've got a busy couple of months coming up. Starting with Martin Barre of Jethro Tull Saturday, Jon Anderson of Yes in June, The Hives in September, King Crimson BEAT with Adrian Belew in October and Fontaines DC in October.

UFL Success: Expand the footprint of your league
PromoTheRobot replied to EasternOHBillsFan's topic in Off the Wall
Birmingham is a slightly larger metro than Buffalo, believe it or not. (#47 vs #50) And they were pretty successful in the USFL. I don't know why their attendance is so far off this year. They are undefeated. 🤷♂️ As for the Destroyers they were the worst Arena team ever. Hard to support a team that won one game in two years. (Plus Arena football is just stupid.) It's a good idea but the NFL doesn't want the potential liability from CTE suits from another league. -
UFL Success: Expand the footprint of your league

You're in Ohio. I think their "Super Bowl" is played in Canton. How do you think the UFL would do in Buffalo? Cheap tickets and a chance to tailgate more? -
Hartford is kind of a rough town actually. Going to hockey or baseball games is fine but there isn't much else happening downtown. A little advice about getting pizza in New Haven. If you don't place an order in the morning or day before at one of the famous places (Frank Pepe, Sally's, Modern, Zuppardi) you're not getting pizza. They are that busy now.

UFL Success: Expand the footprint of your league
PromoTheRobot replied to EasternOHBillsFan's topic in Off the Wall
They can barely afford operating 8 teams. Also these 8 cities were the more successful ones from the old XFL and USFL. Just so you know, all 8 teams are based on Arlington TX. They fly out to whatever cities to play games. They won't expand until the current league gets some traction in ratings and gate. Here are the daily sports ratings. https://www.sportsmediawatch.com/category/ratings/ -

Twitter wouldn't let me embed this so I took a screen grab. Interesting he said he's "coming home" when home is NYC. 🤔 Whatever. He's a Bull now.
