I was just pointing out the irony of building a roof inside an open air stadium. And if you did create a covered stage and viewing area, like Detroit had, it would block the view of most attendees in the stadium. 🤷♂️

You know what? If it's in the stadium they are going to have to build a covered stage in case of rain.

If and when Fox and ESPN pull the plug.

Most of the QBs you've heard of in the UFL, McCarron, Eitling, Perez, Ta'amu, all had alt least a cup of coffee in the NFL. But all belong in the UFL. Nothing wrong with that. The Peter Principle at work. But last year 102 spring players got invited to an NFL camp. That's 1-in-4 UFL players. Only one or two stuck, but the point is they earned a look.

The Bills can make it like sleepover camp. Bring a tent and sleeping bag and stay all three days.

Okay. So it's in OP. How are you getting 3-4X more people than a Bills game there? Parking? For 250K? Public transportation? Doesn't exist now. Buses will be next to useless because of traffic. I'm not seeing how this will work in OP.

I've been trying to imagine where is the best spot for 250,000-400,000 people. I remember the massive crowd at City Hall after SB25. Canalside is a place you'd want to hold it but is it large enough? Then of course there's Orchard Park. Plenty large but few if any amenities. People will need to eat, drink and relieve themselves. No to mention get in and out.

McCarron has said he chose to keep playing in the UFL so his children get to see dad start and play football.

The 77 second Miracle in 1990, Broncos at Bills

I was there. -
WEO loves to compare apples to station wagons. In this case, comparing afternoon weekends with prime time TV ratings. I already posted a link for weekly sports ratings. UFL games are middle of the pack ratings-wise. It's true attendance is lacking but that revenue is secondary to TV. The UFL exists for spring TV sports content. Fox and ESPN will decide if it's doing well enough.

First 3 games of the weekend were pretty good.

Different times then. Taverns were neighborhood watering holes. One on practically every corner. Shot and a beer. Since many also served food like fish fries seeing kids in there was not a big deal.

Couldn't Haack it. Matt released.

Reliable kickers are hard to find. Be sure Bass is done before assuming the next guy will be better, unless they can sign Bates from the UFL. And even he missed some gimmes despite the big leg. -

The Bills aren't punting this year. -
When I was 8 (1966) I used to wander into the local tavern and saw the Bills on TV. Back then you only saw road games because home games for the AFL were blacked out. Anyway I caught the bug seeing the grown ups get excited (and mad) at the Bills.

I think Lembo will be a much better game coach than Mo. Also the schedule is somewhat favorable. Be competent and go bowling.

It's fun watching Wade on the sidelines. And this Brahma defense is legit. Wade still has it.

NFL plans to have over $25 Billion per year in revenue by 2027

I think you have the wrong impression. I don't care what they put there. I just think it's odd nothing is there. Seems like an opportunity missed. When you can do this.... -

Well, there are certain communities do that think that way. I'm sure you've run into your share of NIMBYs in your line of work. -

I don't know this for sure but I was under the impression the town of Orchard Park blocked development out of fear their quaint little suburb would change too much. -

Not true. OP is not that far outside Buffalo. Foxboro is quite far from both Boston and Providence. Now there is still quite a lot of people living in the immediate Foxboro area but it's but close to either city. Orchard Park is a 20 minute drive or less from most of metro Buffalo. But my point is they didn't do anything around the stadium in over 50 years. Not a single hotel or restaurant. What's there now was there before 1973.
