It goes without saying that this hire must have the resume to give fans confidence moving forward. Meanwhile the Rochester Americans have clinched a playoff berth and have been one of the hottest AHL teams of late.

Keep in mind for most of it's existence 67-75% of teams made the NHL playoffs. At one time 16 of 21 teams got in (76%.) With 32 teams, only 50% of teams get in. That's the lowest percentage in league history. I was worried when the Bills ended their 17 year playoff drought, people would have nothing to get upset over.
