NCAA Considering 14 playoff in 2026
PromoTheRobot replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in College Football
There is that argument. And football is not basketball. But part of the appeal of the NCAA basketball tournaments is every team, all 360+ schools, can become national champion. In football it's only 4 schools that are picked by a committee. -
NCAA Considering 14 playoff in 2026

As long as they give the G5 (or how ever any non-power conferences there are these days) a couple seats. If I ran things every conference champ would be in. -

Any sense how many sections those heaters will be set up? -
Brandon Beane's gotta be looking over his shoulder for you.

Cam Lewis missed two preseason games due to injury in 2019. That's it.
-
Because we didn't sign a whale in the first 5 minutes of the tampering period?? Cam Lewis is solid depth with years of experience with the Bills on special teams and a backup DB. What you call a scrub.

Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
PromoTheRobot replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
No hard facts @eball. Just a sneaking suspicion based on my initial conversation with my Legends rep. When I said ideally I wanted coverage and heat, she said something to the effect of "well some club owners might not renew so there could be some of those left." Uh no. I'm not buying clubs. And I recall the survey describing non-club heated and covered seats at a certain price point that I was definitely interested in. My memory isn't the best but I could swear when they started talking about this stadium it was supposed to be 85% covered. Now it's 60-something%, right? And @SoCal Deek if prices are ballooning (and overruns are 100% on Terry) they can easily take out things like heat in certain sections. It wouldn't require a redesign. Just don't wire and install them. Maybe the thought is they'll do it later. -

The public contribution is set at $850MM. The rest is up to the Bills and Terry. That includes PSLs, loans from the NFL and out of pocket. This is why I'm worried they are downgrading amenities to keep costs low. As you know everything costs double in WNY. -

I have always maintained a budget for Bills and Sabres tickets. And I've managed them with the expectation of an eventual PSL. So I have a hard number in mind. I'm sure I can get something but I want to be covered at the very least. I'd love to also have radiant heat. When they first described the stadium they said there would be a lot more heated sections. But I have a feeling they downgraded much of the stadium due to ballooning costs. -

Deets when your done. They can tap dance all they want. All I want to know is what can I afford. Give me a rate card and a break down of amenities. -

Maybe, but a chihuahua can't maul you to death. (It will try, though.) -

I hope this dog and pony show is more about PSLs than ticket prices, although I expect them to go up at least 30%. Also hope this video is just a teaser for a more informative one coming later. I did speak with my rep Audrey and she was very pleasant but not very forthcoming on info. She also wasn't clear that the order of who gets called is based on seat location and not tenure as a season ticket holder. So me, as a non-club 200-level holder will be behind the club and 100-section holders, even though I have 21-years of ownership. But it does get tedious. Especially over dumb crap like how large the bison will be. -

I don't care if we have any bison. Especially if it adds another $200MM to the cost. -
Mike Shula no longer with the Bills
PromoTheRobot replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
The problem with rats is they are such social animals you can't have just one. You need 2-3. Also they only live about 2 years, and they mourn losing their buddies. So you end up getting another rat to replace the ones that pass, and you are never going to stop adopting new rats. -

The proposed new baseball stadium in Las Vegas, a dome, in the very heart of the Las Vegas strip, is budgeted for $300MM less than the Bills be stadium. I still can't wrap my brain around that. https://www.reviewjournal.com/sports/athletics/updated-as-las-vegas-ballpark-renderings-revealed-3011874/ -

Same as the Bills before McDermott. Terry kept hiring the wrong people. I think they are on track with Kevyn Adams and Don Granato. It just takes longer to develop a hockey team. There is no evidence of this. This is fan fiction born of frustration. -

Not me. I had to work. You know why? Because my boss wanted to go to the game. -

NFL considering adopting XFL kickoff rules
PromoTheRobot replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's worth noting in the XFL a touchback or a kick that doesn't reach the receiver's 25 yard line, is a penalty. The ball has to be receivable. -
NFL considering adopting XFL kickoff rules
PromoTheRobot replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
There are two versions of the inside kick in the XFL. One is the traditional onside we know. But that can only be called in the 4th quarter. The other is converting a 4th and 15 from your own 25. Make it and you keep playing. Fail and your opponent takes over on your 25. Of course the NFL may tweak these rules a bit.
