Baker, Sam and Josh @ American Century Golf Tournament
PromoTheRobot replied to JESSEFEFFER's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't follow the points system but Josh shot 31-over across 3 rounds, and Joe Pavelsky, the tournament winner, shot 6-under. -

What's your ideal retirement location?
PromoTheRobot replied to BillsPride12's topic in Off the Wall
We have dogs, who like to bark, so a condo won't work. A small house with a yard is ideal. There are some spots along Pleasure Island where the beach erosion is getting awfully close to the condos. The last condo development in Kure before the ferry is one. -
What's your ideal retirement location?

We always get a condo in Carolina Beach or Kure Beach. Love that area but homes are $700K+ inland. Wilmington housing was averaging around $250k A few years back. Now it's $300-325K. More but still reasonable. And their airport (ILM) has been exploding with new non-stop routes. I can now fly non-stop from either Boston Logan or Manchester to Wilmington. Daughter lives in Chicago and I can fly non-stop there as well. -

Wife and I love Southern NH but 6 months of winter bites. We vacation near Wilmington, NC every year and thought about landing there eventually. -
We should all be in the condition Paul and Ringo are when we're in our 80s. I saw Sir Paul at Fenway Park a few years back. 39 song set with no intermission!

Decided to go see Barenaked Ladies/Sugar Ray tonight last minute. They are coming to Buffalo Outer Harbor next week

PSL Pricing/Seat Selection Discussion
PromoTheRobot replied to Spiderweb's topic in The Stadium Wall
The NFL also profits from resale. The only thing I can see is teams hating not getting $400 a seat for the Chiefs game that resellers get. But now Ticketmaster offers a "sell now" option. They offer you a profit but not what you night sell for. I wonder if those tickets go back to the teams to resell for those premium prices? -
All Draught Team Bills vs the 2025 Bills
PromoTheRobot replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
Draught... Drought... -
Back in the late 70s I was a volunteer board operator at WBFO. I happened to engineer Tom Constanten's show "Ad Astra Per Asparagus." He was a fellow at UB's music department for a short time. So of course I asked him why the lyric "Truckin' up to Buffalo?" He said because it rhymed with "you got to mellow slow." 😂

The NFL is not WWE. But I wouldn't be surprised if the league "nudges" preferred outcomes.

Especially since teams get a cut of ticket resale revenues. -

Josh Allen selling his house (California)

I care plenty about our preseason games. How else do we find out about the next training camp breakout stud we all get upset over when he's cut? -
PSL Pricing/Seat Selection Discussion

I thought I read the field is sunk low enough that you can see over players easily. Will the sideline camera get in your way? The field club is just what it says. Seats with club amenities at field level. -

PSL Pricing/Seat Selection Discussion
PromoTheRobot replied to Spiderweb's topic in The Stadium Wall
There is only a slim chance anyone will profit from their PSLs. In fact you'd be fortunate to only take a small loss. These PSLs are the fan's stake in building the stadium. If you think about it, it's more fair than sticking taxpayers with the whole nut. At the time $850MM was considered an obscene amount from taxpayers. Now it's only 38.6% of the cost. PSLs are around 10%. Pegula and the NFL cover just over 50%. -

Those owners can just go eat their tickets when demand falls. -
PSL Pricing/Seat Selection Discussion
PromoTheRobot replied to Spiderweb's topic in The Stadium Wall
The $1,000 PSL has been released. They are in the upper deck corners. There are still many sections left and I wonder if we'll see PSLs fall to $750 or $500? -
Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
PromoTheRobot replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
The new stadium is somewhat perpendicular to the old stadium. Not quite 90 degrees. So now the wind hits more of the visitor sideline than the end zone. But with the canopy and so-called wind confusion panels on the outside, it should not be windy inside the bowl. As for the sun, it will travel from home sideline to visitors. -
Just curious, did you sweat off the Bills during their drought? That was 17 years. I get not following the team and stuff but then you don't really know the how and why about things happening. It's not meant as a ding. Just pointing out when you say they don't know what they are doing you are assuming a lot and you don't know the details.
