Dillon Ward, the Mammoth keeper, was outstanding. But his defense did an incredible job of blocking all the shooting lanes for the Bandits. They also made it very hard to penetrate they're defensive shell. So while Ward made around 55 saves, most of those came from far out and weren't very dangerous opportunities.
Meanwhile Matt Vinc, the Bandits goalie, was very good himself, but he let in a couple of soft goals in the first half. Those turned out to be the difference. Still, giving up just 9 goals should be enough to help your team win.
