  1. Let's wait until the PSL prices are announced before declaring then unreasonable. The survey was just that, a survey. That said, if you really think that local Bills fans shouldn't pay for PSLs or more expensive tickets, are you saying we can't support an NFL team? Because it sounds that way. Let's be real here. We have a lot of trouble selling out games in winter. Even our freezing cold playoff game was iffy. Which makes me bang my head all the more when the owner insists no dome. I would gladly give up some fancy bells and whistles for a roof that guarantees perfect conditions for every game. We would absolutely sell more tickets.
  2. PSLs offend you but so does getting tax money? PSL are like a user tax on the people who actually will use the stadium and it reduces, a bit, the taxpayer portion. In a perfect world the owner buys his own stadium, but in a perfect world Buffalo would be a high tech hub with a population of over 3 million and home to a dozen Fortune 500 companies.
  3. Letting stuff back in your head is how you let it happen again. Obviously that's what the players have to do, but I think when you have an entire fanbase thinking like that it's bad juju.
  4. I don't think that. I believe they will be awful. They got worse from last year. We'll see, I guess.
  5. Prediction: When Ryan is ready to retire, he'll sign a one-day contract with the Bills
  6. Is it really? Who is that good on the Patriots right now?
  7. https://awfulannouncing.com/xfl/disney-xfl-espn-abc-fx-broadcast-deal.html So it looks like there will be competing springs leagues in 2023. The USFL on Fox/NBC and the XFL on ABC/ESPN/FX. But they won't go fully head to head. The XFL plans to begin right after the Super Bowl in February, and the USFL starts in April.
  8. Again. They play all games at one stadium in Birmingham. When the "Birmingham" team is playing, they get a decent crowd. The other 3 games not so much.
  9. Bills - - - Jets Phins - - - - - - - - - - Pats (contenders for 1st overall pick!)
  10. Or ruin him. When you have a good thing going you don't make a bet you can do better. Besides, if as you say Josh will make anyone look good, just stay with what you have.
  11. I guess the question becomes is there more money in a Sunday Ticket-like package, or just having every game on some network somewhere, even if those games compete?
  12. Oh, Scott. Your memory is short. I'll take my chances with McBeane getting long in the tooth over front office/coaching roulette. What's been this franchise's record with GM and head coach hires?
  13. Is the goal to eventually have every game on national TV?
  14. We all have our priorities. But I was just marveling at how jaded people get about winning. Enough where they start taking about monkeying with what got you there. McDermott and Beane should retire as Bills. I don't want to discuss replacing either for decades.
  15. I miss being mired in an endless playoff drought.
  16. It's sad Buffalo lost the Braves but it would have been worse being the punching bag of the NBA like the Sacramento Kings, who oddly enough, used to the Rochester Royals. The NBA has become such a diva league, you can only compete for elite talent if you are in a major city or sexy location. And even if you do get someone they could decide not to even try. (Looking at you, James Harden.) I can't stand the NBA. I'd rather watch college ball.
  17. The Boston show was expensive. It's sold out now and resale is going for $300+. I could fly to Chicago and get $29 lawn seats, though.
  18. Why keep bringing it up?
  19. The only summer show I have planned is the Zappa Band up in Plymouth NH (The Flying Monkey.) I was interested in Tears for Fears but tickets were way too much. Same with Roxy Music in the fall. Stupid $$$$.
  20. Just saying don't expect to see it everywhere. Gotta look for it.
  21. I'm pretty sure I was at this game. Standing room above the oranges at the Aud.
  22. Well if you are a TV network, like Fox and NBC who actually own the league, playing all your games at one stadium saves a lot of money. And if you get a million viewers for your big network games and that's enough to sell ads, then yeah it's sustainable.
