    I once owned a set of those cement sacks. RIP Dave. I think there's an unspoken rule in NHL preseason games where the road team always plays scrubs so the home crowd will see an azzkicking and won't mind paying for a meaningless game.

    How can you listen without tennis talk and breakfast cereal drafts? I've been listening to Boston sports radio more lately, mainly because I like hearing them lament the Patriots. But it really drives home how amateur WGR is. Mostly because it's made up of hosts that have been in Buffalo forever and, frankly, mail it in when they're on the air.

    Highlights from last night. Don't know why but they left out Cozen's shorthanded goal at the end of the 1st. Sabres are 4-1 in preseason. Final game is Friday at Pittsburgh. That one will be on ESPN+.
