  1. Ummm yeah sure... I heard that the Colts, *Cheaters and Saints have alreay started making plans on getting rid of Manning, Brady and Brees for their slap in the face to the owners. Well thought out rjwii, well thought out!
  2. This sounds like something a typical code monkey would say...LOL.
  3. If avg ticket price is $50 and the avg seating capacity is 68,000 then that would make a $6.8 million difference(2 games). Take that to the Jerry Jones level with an avg ticket price of about $100 and 100,000 in seating and you're talking about a $17,000,000 difference. The owners will make more money if you keep 20 overall games but change it to 18 regular season and only 2 preseason games. The 2 preseason games that are being changed to regular season games will sell more tickets and will draw bigger TV viewership which is a win win for the owners. Considering the above and the fact that fans have been bitching for years about paying regular game prices for the preseason games that amount to nothing more than an extended training camp and you can see why this is a big priority for the owners.
  4. I completely disagree, I thought it was an obviously bad move at the time! He wasn't showing signs of slowing down, he wasn't going to demand outragous money, and there wasn't a young protege waiting in the wings to take over for him. There was no good reason not to re-sign him. It was a horrible nonmove!
  5. Not exactly true. The escalation in rookie contracts has also resulted in the escalation in the vets contracts. It has been the leading bargaining chip used by proven vets to leverage for their own contracts which in effect trickles down to the rest of the players. That being said the players will probably give in on rookie wage limits, but probably by freezing them where they are but not a reduction, which is what is really needed.
  6. to two prostitutes] Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where, uh, Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. Sabrina, remove your dress. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Sabrina, why don't you, uh, dance a little. Take the lyrics to "Land of Confusion". In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. "In Too Deep" is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as, uh, anything I've heard in rock. Christy, get down on your knees so Sabrina can see your !@#$. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like "In the Air Tonight" and, uh, "Against All Odds". Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is "Sussudio", a great, great song, a personal favorite.
  7. You are correct! BTW I need to find a way to calculate currency exchanges, does anyone know a way...
  8. An 18 game season does not extend the season. Instead of there being 4 preseason games there will only be 2. The season will actually start 2 weeks earlier.
  9. They??? I don't fear they! "I came here to chew bubble gum and kick ass amd I'm all out of bubble gum!"
  10. Pehaps we should just seize the NFL from the owners and players and socialize it for the people? The hell with letting supply and demand dictate what should happen! While we're at it maybe we should seize all of Silicon Valley and bring computer prices down to pennies on the dollar of where they are currently. I suppose healthcare would be next!
  11. I find it hard to believe that Stevie only had 8 dropped passes all year, especially when he had 5 in 1 game alone.
  12. You're way off base on this statement. I'm not going to take the time to look a bunch up but I know off the top of my head that Marino scored below 20 in the 14 range I believe. Many of the best QBs do score higher than average but it is not as absolute as you indicate. That being said I would not like to see Young here because of all the mental breakdowns the kid has had. You simply can't count on him being there when you need him.
  13. I think the issue with this situation is not whether he is the real deal and if he is, and he goes back for another year, then he'll go top 3 or even still #1. The issue for Luck is what if he doesn't repeat his performance or if he does suffer a devastating injury, then he will have in all likelyhood taken away an opportunity to set himself and his family up for life. The risk to reward ratio seems to heavily favor him coming out now. JMHO! That being said I cannot imagine Luck falling to #3 even if Carolina or Denver don't want a QB, someone will offer something up for him, and I hope it is not the Bills. I would much rather see a trade down and pick up more picks, we have a lot of holes to fill! OLB, DE, TE and OL are our top priorities.
  14. Here's to us dropping to the 9th pick in the 2011 draft!
  15. The Bills just posted on Facebook that the game is sold out thanks to a last minute ticket purchase by Russell Salvatore.
  16. This is what will cause a coach to lose his team. As a coach you need to play whoever has earned the position. You cannot play someone because you're curious about their ability, the player who has earned the position should always start and get the majority of snaps. There are several reasons for this besides just being fair. A lot of the players have incentives built into their contracts and holding them out thus preventing them from earning those incentives WILL cause locker room issues. You also don't want to take away incentive for players to work hard.
  17. I'm not sure how the stats rack up but there was an immediate difference on the offensive side of the ball once Fitz took over. It showed the difference in their styles, captain check down vs amish gunslinger.
  18. He said that just after the failed 2 week Trentative experiment. Things have definately changed. If Wilson steps in and over the advice of Nix and/or Gailey and forces a QB pick in the 1st round it would be another major 1st round snafu! We have too many holes to fill and bringing in a rookie QB who may or may not turn into a franchise QB but will almost certainly be a setback in QB play just doesn't make sense. DL, LB, RT and TE have to be our priorities. Until this team can consistently stop the run it will not matter who the QB is, we will continue losing and we can look forward to ANOTHER year without a playoff berth!
  19. I think you are way off base on this. I believe we will see Fitz and Stevie marketed extensively this off-season. If the front office is going to market a new QB who would that be? Mallet ot Locker, because we don't have a chance of getting Luck IF he comes out? If the FO wants to just sell tickets they will go out and outbid everyone for Vick. I think the chances of the Bills drafting a QB in the 1st 5 rounds are slim to none, which I will be just fine with. This team needs to prioritize the OLB, DL, RT and TE in this draft or FA, QB has fallen off the list.
  20. This would mean something to your arguement had the Bills only gotten 3 sacks, but they got 5 which would equate to 80 sacks on a season, 80! That is a 60% increase, 60!
  21. IMO he is not even close to being as bad as Theismann or Dierdorf! Dierdorf in my humble opinion can be crowned worst announcer of all sports for all times!
  22. Whoops... I guess I just aged myself a bit there! Thank you for the clarification.
  23. I don't think you sound like a Jets fan, no you sound more like I Eat Crayons pretending to be a Jets fan to get everyone riled up! GO BILLS!
  24. Careful about talking proud because it actually is out of 1600. Anyway I'm sure the best team in NY will win this game! GO BILLS!
