  1. Agreed more positions in football too... at some point it makes sense to see who you draft and at what position ... so I agree unless there is a major player that we can fit I think it makes sense to round this out at minimum after the draft and potentially after June 1. I see that as probably the most likely signing if he goes past the draft and remains unsigned. You may get him back on a good deal... kind of like Milano a few years back.
  2. And he should have size... If we dont improve our Run D and our DBs are 4 of our 5 leading tacklers and we run it back with Rapp who reeks destruction anywhere he goes... opponent, teammates, self... you are gonna need players there... Not sure about Bishop being ready... one can hope.
  3. I think you are correct here.. makes sense to see who we pick and round out after that... plus I believe we get some cap relief somehow after June 1st potentially...
  4. Just interested in opinions... Are we done in FA , save roster fillers and training camp bodies... or is there another move or two that we make to improve the team... and if so who are you thinking might be it... Coop, Diggs, Tre, Douglas, Samuel et al.... I am not sure who... but I think I can see us doing another reasonable move or two ... no big signings... but waiting until some of these guys are twisting in the wind for a bit and bringing them in on 1 year deals on the cheap.... or at least below Market value... like if Douglas sits out there thru the draft I can see bringing him back on a cheaper deal... to less of an extent Tre, Samuel would cost more.... as we need a corner... Coop and Diggs maybe but not so much at least for what I would do... plenty of others out there... do we make a trade for a player at the draft... where are you all at... interested in your thoughts...
  5. Agreed! Its such a quandary, unless there is proof etc... its always he said she said... who do you believe... you sympathize with women who were victimized being ashamed or afraid to accuse... and understand as best you can (being a man) what that must be like... but the converse is like looking at Matt Ariaza, or the Duke U lacrosse rape accusations etc..., there are people with alterior motives, or memories that are impaired and falsely accuse... so just balancing that out... in the he said she said space... 30 years is a long time to finally come out and accuse I am not saying they are lying... but I am not convinced that they are telling the truth either... color me skeptical...
  6. I was quite disappointed in him last year... he looked pretty much done... I am taking a pass here unless there was some injury that healed that was affecting him getting open.. I get the wrist.. but not sure what was wrong with his legs..
  7. Without the ped suspensions acceptable with them moves me to less than acceptable resigning our own back to acceptable. But i am not sure we improved a ton here
  8. I agree I don't see it happening at least for now... I could see some scenario mid year when he is ready to come back and we have injuries taking him back for vet min like a Beasley and Smoke thing but other than a whacked out scenario like that no way...
  9. Now he is an official Chief
  10. I agree but I honestly dont think we tag cook... we either sign or trade him or let him walk... the tag would about give him what he is looking for I think.... especially with this move and he seems like a pouter to me...
  11. I think everything including hand size and personality effect draft position.. but no I would not be opposed to drafting a red shirted player who was 23 or 24
  12. Thats what I was thinking... although they were pretty bad most of the year lol
  13. Thats some big coin... and clearly he is off the market.
  14. That was a really weird season... right till the very end...
  15. Yeah, I am not looking to do this for a 33 yr old wr
  16. I get this move for both teams... especially Chicago with a young QB protecting him has got to be a priority.
  17. I would think Samuel but we would need to eat contract... so maybe....
  18. Love it if the "mole" was in charge LOL
  19. Oh Tee not gonna like that... they dont want to let their good players go.. but they certainly dont roll out the red carpet... this is a situation that bears watching for sure.
  20. very true... but your point on the QB play of Allen, I dont think we have ever seen anyone that was this good or could beat you so many ways... He literally dictates defensive coverages because his threat to do damage in the run game is 2nd only to maybe Jackson... so totally we agree we are witnessing something we have really never seen before here... and quite honestly I am not sure has been seen overall in many NFL cities... ever.
  21. Whats funny is I think as I rate Allen number 1 I am also looking at where he is in his career and I do not think he has topped out yet... I also agree over all Kelly is a great QB but not as great as Bills fans seem to remember nostalgically, he was the one that lead us out of the abyss and into relevance... but the fact of the matter is that Kelly was never really even in the conversation for MVP... maybe 1 year... and if I am looking at it with complete objectiveness.. probably vasiilatted between 7 and 2 or 3 in terms of the top QBs each year during his tenure... But he was ours
  22. that we agree on... favorites and best are in no way interchangeable... my Mothers favorite football player was Tony Greene cause he was nice and helped people up after he tackled them LOL... Best is more encompassing to me than 1 or 2 traits or results... so to me and must include stats, w/l era, over all success, talent and consideration of circumstance... thats me... I think your definition of best is much more definitive and tied more to over all statistics.. and i can respect that view point... mine I think and many others are bringing in more than that... others... are pointing to over all facts... we got into the same debate over MVP. (albiet a bit more confined because era was not involved). people pointed to Lamar Jacksons statistical year, others to Allen's leadership and overall team situation.... etc... and voted accordingly... neither were wrong and the discussion was interesting...
  23. Not sure we are on the same page... but thats good too ... It is who do you believe are the top 10 Bills QBs... not the most accurate, or top 10 most yards... or all time winningest... etc... those, we have stats for... the purpose is the subjectiveness... Like comparing the greatest all time boxer... Ali? Marciano??? Leonard??? etc... you can measure punching power, W/L, KO's World titles... but those are listable... to me the goal was to see how people in their own subjective way rated them... across era, size, team, success etc... because the truth of the matter is we will never know how Kelly would have done with this team and Fergy with that team and Josh with the other... so I thought it would make for an interesting discussion for everyone post super bowl/pre free agency... so far at least from my perspective the discussion and opinion yours very much included have not disappointed... but as you mention it... I did a little exercise.. who ARE my top 10 favorites... so Allen Kelly Fergy (took us to the playoffs for the first time for me as a kid) Fitz - (just because he is Fitz) Shaw ( was my first favorite player as a kid) Riech (loved his guts and nerve played a great roll) Flutie (cause he at least gave us hope AND got us to the playoffs) Bledsoe (he at least gave us hope for a while) Tyrod (cause he at least got us to the playoffs not sure about having hope) Kemp (cause I heard the stories of how we won the AFL)
  24. Quite honestly you can lump Griese and Theismann in there too ... 70s QBs were not typically all that and a bag of doughnuts... but the world didnt revolve around them either... it revolved around, Franco, Dorsett, Czonka and Kiik and Riggins .... then here comes Montana and Marino and Kelly and Moon and the game begins to change... I remember thinking Marino's 4000 yards was literally like OJ's 2003 in 14 games in terms of record and rareness... now 4000 doesnt even guarantee a pro bowl...
