Season Predictions at the Half-way point
JP51 replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
East - Bills Central - Ravens South - Texans West - Chiefs East - Eagles Central - Lions South - Falcons West - SF WC AFC - Stillers, Broncos, Chargers WC NFL - Cards, Commanders, Pack SB - Lions/KC Thats if it all plays out... that being said... we peak at the right time and stay healthy we could win the whole thing, I just cant put us as favorites with KC undefeated and injuries piling up again. get thru the next 5 games 4-1 then lets talk. -
I like this... and agree with everything you have said here... I think increasing replay or challenges will slow the game down... when I get excited for a play everytime I am like wait... they can still throw a flag so it takes away from the game... however getting it right is also important. So, I think number one 1. Questionable or technical penalties that did not effect the play need to be examined. 2. Offsetting Penaties minus PF when a false start or Offside (pre snap) has occured need to be reviewed ... especially like an Offside, lineman gets jump, they dont blow the whistle, throw the flag, and the lineman holds to protect the QB and the penalties offset. If its a pre snap play is dead. 3. Simplify the catch and the holding calls to make them more black and white (dont ask me how) but they are confusing now 4. Allow a replay for an egregious judgment call error like Epinesa's RP penalty. ( I know I said I hate replays) but there are sometimes that the call is so wrong, that it makes sense.

Well quite honestly and crowning Lawrence and Herbert were pre mature... I think I am looking at even though Murray, Cousins, Mayfield, Lawrence, etc are not crownable... they are very competant. I am just remembering the days of Ryan Mallet, Leaf, Mariota, Akili Smith, Russell, Leinart, Jake Locker, brady Quinn etc... super high pick QBs that just didnt cut it... the misses are not as vast as then... but you do have your Picketts and Rosens etc... so I dont know... it just seems QB play has become more competant over the years.

I will say this, I do see so many more unforced pre snap penalties then ever before it seems... the one thing I have noticed is the insane athleticism of WR the catches and body control they make/have to me is way other level... I think the other thing I have noticed is that there are a lot of good young QBs in the leauge where prior it was almost impossible to find them.

I have no idea what it is... but a wrist or a lower arm injury for a receiver who is being expected to catch a ball from 17 is an issue. Lets just hope its a pain management thing and not structural.

Week 10: help me with my work pool (Bangles @ Ravens)

Honestly in a game like this... who knows.... straight up I take the home team... with spread I take the points. My opinion, Dallas is about to implode... Iggles -
Agreed, quite honest its going to require the entire team and most definately the run D be at the top of their game.

I think you are correct, as well as a bit more Cook and Davis in a pass catching role.

Yes or make them move laterally...

I so did that once, but it was a ladder... my Dad was a Christmas light freak... I hate putting up lights to this day, we finished the house and now he want to go outside in a blizzard has me hanging off this ladder by one foot to get the lights to the top of the tree and I am like you have got to be kidding me... so my Mom sees this and opens the door and says to my Dad, do you really need to do this now... so frozen, tired and hungry I purposely tipped the ladder and fell off into a snow bank that was 3 feet deep.... pooof and my Mother was like ok thats enough get in here! My Dad was like NO this is the perfect time didnt you see if he falls he is just gonna fall into a snow bank!.... My Dad lost that one and went inside... and as we are walking in he is like ... You did that on purpose! I smiled and said Yup! and he was like... LOL well played son... well played...

My opinion Miami - With Tua they can contend in the division and remain to this point our biggest threat. They have weapons like Hill and Waddle Achane Mostert etc... Problem: Defense has a lot of money wrapped into it... Jalean Phillips, Chubb etc.. coming off significant injuries, Jalen Ramsey getting older Poyer clearly past is prime. I see D as a problem. On to Tua... with a healthy Tua they can contend.... healthy... with the type of game that he is playing now to stay healthy, he effectively negates the significant edge their speed receivers have and the deep threat they present. He is getting rid of the ball at lightning speed so he doesnt get hit. What happens when he has to hold on to it... time will tell. Threat rating - light yellow... a little caution Jets: This season is effectively over for them. Rodgers will likely not be back. Depending how they finish the season (best case they go like 7-10 worst they lose out) they may not find themselves in a position to take a significant top QB next year. They wont resist the urge to reach and that could set them back even farther. Internally they seem a mess. Divided over their coaches firing causing internal strife. After Rodgers leaves... his buddies stay what does that mean to the internal strife or are they all cut and they need to rebuild complete overall talent. Either way its an issue. Threat Rating : Green no worries for at least a few years Patriots - Lots of people lover Drake Maye, he has shown some good things. I am not sure that he is going to be elite... Lots of needs for skilled players especially at WR but lots of money to make that happen plus a still solid brand that can attract those types of players if they see that Maye is going to be more than Kenny Pickett or Mac Jones etc.... and more like a Lawrence or Herbert . I do like their defense and I think Mayo is good at this point in starting to develop folks. But I wonder just how good he really is. Not seeing alot of innovation and motivation..... but I am not close to it. Threat level : light yellow a little caution. At least for 2 years.

Bills signing Quinton Jefferson; Update..AND Jordan Phillips
JP51 replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wish there was an upgrade for us. But if none was forthcoming, I dont hate we addressed the DT position with people that at least are familiar with the system. We were getting precariously thin. Plus you know at least one of the two has a wrist or spleen injury in their future LOL -
Its not even Thanksgiving yet! LOL 😆

I am not so sure we are gonna run wild on the colts. Buckner and Stewart look pretty stoudt in the middle. Not that we cant move the ball, but I would take either one of those guys on our Defense.

Glad for Tre

One of our better ones... Benford in the 6th was huge, along with Shak in the 5th... obviously Bernard and Cook worked out nicely too... but getting starters Day 3 especially pro bowl caliber... makes up for misses like Elam.
