I havent figured out if DaQuan Jones cut saves us money... but if it does.. he would be my pick... followed by Carter... not sure Shavers is a surprise...

Yeah, I don't know if he is "that" good or not... certainly not the big contract he is looking for... but my point was really, the fact that Dane was cut I feel like there is more going on behind the scenes than they are letting on... that could be several things... they are confident Max or Tre is coming back soon... they are looking for another CB whomever that might be... they are gonna PS Dane and bring him back.. I don't know... but I do suspect that they were less than amused with Dane's play and I don't see them not picking up a CB in the near future or updating us on the progress of Tre and Max.

Either way if he wants to play football next year I think it may make more sense that if he had the opportunity to go learn the system he did so... someone blinked here... either Douglas with no team or the Dolphins looking at the Bills needs...

Not gonna get picky here, because who knows... but i feel like the Dolphins were low balling him, saw our injuries and upped their offer... like I can totally see what you are saying, but if you are gonna take a 1 year prove it deal... I think it is short sighted not to go in and learn the system... cause he gonna have to go play and learn on the job and he is unemployed next year... but you may be right... wanting to skip training camp is not unheard of...

Yeah, that was kind of my reaction... like, I get it, you want your starters in there, but if this is the guy that sinks the ship, I feel like the problems run much deeper.

That is exactly my thoughts... or they are gonna go out and get a corner whether its Douglas or Asante Samuel... or they are anticipating that there will be cuts that they will pick someone off waivers that is better... but to me it certainly is some indication that White and Max wont be long term... just my own tea leaves misguided or not my initial reaction...

Another poster indicated that they would wait until after cut down day to talk about it... could mean he is fine and ready to go... could be a longer term injury... but either way someone else knowing... if it is a player or a team (especially if it is more severe and our need is more immediate) would love to know that information if they are bargaining with us... so based on that I suspect it is an injury that will at least make him unavailable game 1 at minimum... that is my guess...

I would say that they are not happy with someones performance that we know... It would be early to get rid of Carter although he has shown me very little this PS... but I am half wondering if it isnt DaQuan Jones that might go, although, I am not sure if that brings us cap relief... if it does, its possible, if not, then I am probably barking up the wrong tree...

Just a thing, I am a bit outside of Tampa, and everyone is pretty much delayed due to thunderstorms... so it could be a while before they land... I would guess that we might get an update tomorrow before the game...
