What are you doing to get out of this funk?
8BallSippin replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Meh, I was skiing yesterday, and was fine with seeing the game, or not seeing the game. I got home late and watched, and it felt like Deja Vu. I'm going skiing again two Sundays. I love the Bills, but they're not going to be much different next season, because McDermott will be here again. Look, we used to watch meaningless football in November most seasons. Now we watch in amazement as we lose to the perhaps the best Coach/ Franchise to ever play this game, when maybe a Kincaid clutch catch breaks their backs. Its really exciting, even if we usually lose. The Bills, are a broken record, until something changes, I expect that records to continue to spin around... -
hmmm. neither of those. Kincaid and Coleman being non factors, Cooper not being on the field much, Miller being a ghost, KC being better coached, Elam being on this roster still, McDermott looking ambivalent. Not hating on the Mahommes, to the winners go the spoils. Josh would be unhinged successful if he wore Red and Yellow, plain and simple.

Just out of curiosity, what output did Kincaid and Coleman have on the evening? Worthy had a clutch contested grab and seems like a pretty impactful game... I'm willing to guess the Bills duo delivered very little. We just seem to get so little from out skill position, outside of Cook. The body of evidence is mounting, while 2 years ago you give him the BOTD. Make a change, with Allen the Bills are a playoffs team no matter who coaches. Who coordinates a nasty and violent defense these days?

A 3rd consecutive Divisional Round home loss? No chance
8BallSippin replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
This team beat the 2 #1 seeds in the playoffs, and played Baltimore on the road with a bunch of guys out. There is no reason they can't win, just have to line up an execute. Find a way. -
Feels a lot like the Bills in Houston oh so many years ago, just got to get that monkey off your back.
-
The Broncos beat marginal to bad teams and slipped into the playoffs because the Chiefs showed up in name only. Hard to for any defense to have zero big game experience, and run into a Bills team that was both brutal and finesse in the same offensive scheme. The Broncos offense put that defense in a lose-lose... and JA and the boys were just on. hard to fault the guy for that showing.

Broncos at Bills Sunday 1pm (confirmed)
8BallSippin replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall
McDermott's situational awareness in the bugaboo until proven otherwise.... -
The Broncos beat nobody of note this season and got lucky the Chefs sat their starters. Bonito is a fabulous young player, they have a nice roster building and when the Wilson drag is off their, they will be a contender. Just play Bills football and don't turn the ball over, this should be a nice win.

Josh Allen is the best player in the NFL, hands down. The Chiefs are the best team in the NFL, hands down until proven otherwise. Will Josh be able to overcome not only talent hurdles this postseason, and also overcome his HC's tendency to manage games away. Josh Allen is a damn Superman if he does.

Denver Broncos. They've been a surprise this season, but they haven't had a great records against winning teams. They play hard, but hey don't have the oomph yet to win playoff games on the road. In two years once that Wilson contract is off the books and they can afford more talent, that AFCW is gonna be the best division in football.

Giants are releasing QB Daniel Jones (future backup to Josh Allen)
8BallSippin replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
got generational money and can play golf every day for the rest of his life- yeah, feel bad for him, but not that bad. -
Giants are releasing QB Daniel Jones (future backup to Josh Allen)
8BallSippin replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
I feel for the guy, hard to be at rock bottom and know everybody in the organization doesn't even want to talk to you. I get the feeling he doesn't want to play anymore, but felt like he had too. -
Josh Allen Punched in the head two weeks in a row
8BallSippin replied to kitchen sink's topic in The Stadium Wall
meh, I think the trend is punching the ball out rather than stripping it. I can't see why a player would punch a football helmet, good way to have a broken hand. -
Week 11, Chefs v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!
8BallSippin replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd prefer to lose this game, and win in the playoffs- we've done the opposite for years, lets try something different. -
Keeping it in perspective, Bills win percentage
8BallSippin replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
A few thoughts- - the Bills are beating team they should, that isn't chatter worthy - JA17 isn't hurdling defenders or air raiding the team to victory, also not chatter worthy - JA17 is quietly have a turnover free season, exciting for Bills, media, not so much - The Bills lost handily to the league darlings in Nat TV- they're just another team right now - everybody knows this team will win the East, everybody knows they'll win a playoff game- can they overcome when it matters most, and be a complete team? history suggests no, and until they do, they're relegated to where they are. -
KC vs. Buffalo's record a microcosm of the Allen/Mahomes debate
8BallSippin replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
KC has a better HC, and in a game of inches, in a game where one situational play wins or loses.... McDermott is outmatched. That is the difference. -
If he has KC's staff around him here, he'd have multiple rings, I 100% believe that. He pretty much drags this team to the playoffs each year. Time for the Bills staff to give back a little, and find a way to help Josh get a Ship. Sorry, he's the best player in the NFL, hands down.

Denver has the same feel of the 2015 Broncos- stodgy defense that gets takeaways, and an efficient offense that runs the ball and doesn't cede turnovers. I don't think they will recreate that championship 2015 magic of course, but the team is playing the same game. If Nix continues to progress, the Broncos could be back. I've always felt John Allen's first championship will come this way, not having to play hero ball as you'd expect, but rather letting other players do their jobs. I still believe McDermott's lack of competence in pivotal situation footballs will be what hold us back, but who knows maybe we get a bounce here of there...

Do you approve of the job Brandon Beane is doing?
8BallSippin replied to KentuckyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Beane's defining blunder will be to hanging on to McDermott too long. McDermott has done an admirable job for this team, but having him do it year after year and expecting more is folly IMO. McDermott is coaching at his ceiling. -
I'd like to have seen some screens, or plays designed to mitigate an aggressive pass rush. Also, I still think McDermott is slow to adapt to in game changes, he changes made at the half worked, but you can't move toward those in the first half, in some fashion? Good news is we pounded some bad teams, got destroyed by a contender. Hopefully that gives way to an honest assessment of our capabilities, and we can find our pace. The gadget play was all you need to demonstrate to someone who had not see the game, the Bills performance on the evening. Yuck.
-
I'd agree- the guys knows scheme and builds around the bodies he has on hand, and if those bodies change, the scheme adapts. Was he perfect, of course not. Better than McDermott, the evidence suggests clearly, yes. No hate for McDermott, he's presided over a very strong stretch in Bills history- but maybe he was here for a reason, and that reason no longer exist. Maybe time to give a new direction a shot.
-
that was obvious 10 minutes in, why wait until halftime to make the switch? But that's McDermott, gonna to what we planned to do, no matter what.
