Elijah Moore Visiting the Bills today (Update: Signed!)
MikePJ76 replied to bills742's topic in The Stadium Wall
The scheme was excellent last year. the key to all of this was the dedication to improving the line and run blocking…which is a function of the line, tight ends and wr. hiring Aaron Kromer and making those changes was outstanding. i have been saying it all offseason but I believe this is the route they are headed with the defense, they added two new defensive line coaches, one who has had a lot of success and now they remade the defensive line room completely. i don’t think they will win as many games this year as last year, the schedule is incredibly difficult but they will be a better team in the playoffs for these changes. Of course this is barring season ending injuries. -
Elijah Moore Visiting the Bills today (Update: Signed!)

The way Brady runs this offense it will probably be more about getting him the ball quickly and giving him space to run. i have not been able to stop replaying the third down play to cooper in the championship game. it was a perfect play call, they blocked it well, a screen to cooper and caught the chiefs attacking. Cooper should have been off and running, that would have put this team in the Super Bowl. instead he slipped, was slow to get going and karlaftis caught him from behind. If he got to the sideline clear there he is off and running for at least 40 yards. maybe a guy like Moore catches that and goes the distance. -
I find the wr obsession here and wgr odd and ignorant also. All the people that wanted wr so bad were elated for giving up a third round pick for cooper last fall. I hated it then and now. I got crushed here for hating the cooper trade. i hope they never do anything like that again.

Did you read the posts she made? part of her issue is she spoke to the police over and over. -
Hampton in LA. Harbaugh is going to wear that dude out and I think he is going to have a great year.

it was a year later because she was disgusted he was not held accountable and was on the football team and the school did not help her. -

I really hope there is some clarity to this. Big colleges that rely on football for money have been jumping on the heads of victims for 100 years. The local police and politicians have all helped them squash these types of things forever also. Sadly this is what that screams to me. They just made it go away and because he wasn't 18 yet they just blew it off systemically somehow under the he will grow up mantra or something. Either way I hate it and there were lots of players available and they could have avoided this. -

The thing is these posts I believe are from 2022. How did guys like Dane Brugler who knows what crayon colors were some 7th round punters favorite in kindergarten not talk about this more? The other guys with issues its right out in front. -

yes I know. I read the victim's post on tiktok or instagram whatever it was. It was march 25, 2021 at midnight. She went to the police, then the hospital, then the police came home with her to her dorm and took pictures and fingerprints. she did everything she could by the book it seemed to get justice. He was an early enrollee and had been there less than 8 weeks at the time. He was not 18 and it seems that is how they got him out of this. it seems the police and lawyers semi harrassed her by making her sit through interview after interview asking her the same questions and they just implied she was at fault. to me this seems like the classic case of the school squashing the crime because they needed the player. It just was pushed under the rug and the school seemed to hope it would go away and it did except for the victim posted on social media about in 2022 because she was disgusted with how she was treated and wanted something done about it. in the end nothing was done and she let it be known that 5 other girls reached out to here in 2022 when she posted about it, a year after it happened and said he did the same to them. So either none of it ever happened or women are going to come out in the future about him. I was kind of shocked about all this because I never heard any of the draft people ever bring this up. -
screw this lady... this is like woodstock but with friendlier people. what? wavy gravy should kick her butt

after the stuff I was reading from the hairston victim/accuser.....it appears they might as well have taken bond and green this weekend too. The talks about character from beane and mcdermott should go in one ear and out the other from all of us. I am hoping that somehow the Hairston stuff will get cleared up but to me it appears like the classic case of the big school money is able to push this under the rug and hope no one cares as time goes on. Seems they got him out of a rape and burglary charge because he was a minor or not 18 yet if I am understanding correctly. Big time bummer and has ruined the weekend for me.

Actually it appears the schools lawyers got him out of this because he may have not been 18 at the time. It seems to have happened when he was an early enrollee to kentucky after he graduated from high school. The victim documented everything, went to the hospital, gave the police all the info and get details of everything to make sure the school could not push it under the rug. Seems they did. The girl that accused him posted about it on her tiktok and said that five other girls had come forward with similar issues with the same player, maxwell hairston. -

I just read the assault stuff with him. It appears he raped a girl and was accused of burglary on top of that. It reeks of the team/school kind of making it just go away as they always do and hoping in time no one will care. bummer. -
they had to take a kicker to take care of their current assaulter.

Is this a make or break season for the defense?
MikePJ76 replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
it's not make or break at all. I said this all offseason, they were going to do the defensive line this offseason what they did to the offensive line and running game a few years ago. It appears this is exactly what they did. This is a total rebuild of the Line in personnel and I imagine in approach and player style along with two new Defensive line coaches....kind of like when Kromer was hired. -
Broaddus said Cam Williams has medical and character red flags for whatever its worth.
-
Good grief man.

The Dallas guys for whoever cares love Strong. Bryan Broaddus LOVES him. They are upset because Dallas wanted him. Called him a press corner, really disruptive, plays the deep ball great. Plays bigger and tougher than his size. Plays the crossers well and drives on routes....high intelligence.

Bruglers summary. SUMMARY: A five-year starter at Virginia Tech, Strong was the field cornerback in head coach Brent Pry's coverage scheme. After sufering a season-ending injury in 2022, he started 25 consecutive games the past two seasons. He combined for 19 passes defended and five interceptions while allowing just 39.6 percent completions when targeted (36-for-91). Despite having average length, Strong gets physical early and maintains positioning to make quarterbacks second-guess targeting constricted windows. He can function well in zone because of his pattern recognition and efectiveness in run support. Overall, Strong doesn't have ideal foot speed or twitch for what some NFL teams desire, but he is a quick, instinctive player with the competitive profile other teams will highly value. He projects as a rookie reserve.
