You’re right. No gives af if a team was injured during an important game. Only results matter. The Bengals, as you noted, beat up on us with a decimated OL. Then the following week got beat by a team with a hobbled qb and decimated wr corp. But no one remembers that about KC. I guess that’s why players don’t use injuries as excuses. They get the job done with who’s available or they don’t. Us fans on the other hand…

All-Pro DT Chris Jones not at Chiefs Mandatory Minicamp

Step back means KC won’t win the superbowl? Yeah I’m gonna say you have an 90% chance of being correct. Especially if #95 sits out. -
This is too much truth for a lot of people on here to accept. Only Allen’s shortcomings can be excused by not having enough talent around him. He can’t do everything by himself. However, all other qbs must do it by themselves or they’re not considered elite because the teams around them are great. Most will tell you that Allen needs a great Oline, great #1 AND #2 receivers and he’ll finally get to a superbowl. Yet when a team like Philly gives their qb those things and got to a superbowl they’d say he’s not elite because of those things. Mind boggling.

There’s much to praise about a young man that fought through adversities the way Hurts has. He improved after getting benched in college. He has improved since entering the league. After the breakout year he had people still want to see more? Crazy that he’s still doubted when he has accomplished something we’re dreaming/hoping/praying Allen could do.

I’ve said before if Allen hits Diggs on that play it’s a different ballgame. Allen may be the best Bills qb ever but he makes mistakes. Too many people are unwilling to criticize him when it’s warranted. I don’t know about the distraction stuffs but if it’s true then there’s some maturity issues. Hopefully, there won’t be any romance drama this coming season.

Jeff George was considered the most gifted physical talent when he entered the league and turned out to be mediocre. Physical talent can only take you so far. With that said Allen is #2 ahead of Burrow. Just my opinion.

We must have watched different documentaries. The one I saw showed a driven athlete striving to be the best at his craft while still making time for his family. Maybe that’s your definition of ‘a complete tool’?

I think he’s talking about Mahomes seeking out Allen to hug right after the game.

I hit a 100 to 1 bet last week on Bailey Tardy making top 10 at Pebble so I think it’s the same feeling too. -
Could it be that he has crushed Mafia’s souls twice in the playoffs, including one that was so gut wrenching there’s a name for it? Dunno just a guess.

Good Breakdown on Bills, KC, and Cinci moving forward

Great example was this past season where KC played almost all rookie db’s. They had their growing pains but when the playoffs came they were primed and seasoned. Wish McD would trust rookies that way. -

Great analysis! Thanks for posting. -
I think this is what he meant as well. Of all the games between us only the one with Von was there any DL pressure on Mahomes to speak of. Cincy gets after him in all their matches. So I didn’t take his comment as disrespectful towards the Bills. More of a competitor that wants to slay his personal challenge…Cincy’s defense.
-
Did he said ‘easier’ though? He said they matched up better with Buffalo. Which is reasonable.

I’m not sure what Allen can learn from watching this. Maybe how to manage distractions as this was filmed during the season. I can’t imagine how distracted these guys were with all the things on their plates as NFL quarterbacks. Even more amazed that one of them went on to win a superbowl while doing this.
-
I think they were going for superstar, solid veteran, and struggling starter to cover the spectrum of qb’s. I bet either Allen or Burrow will be on next season.

Josh Allen is the most durable starting NFL QB
90sBills replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed. That’s why I said improved Cam. Newton was a beast in his early years. His physical prowess was something never seen from the QB position up to that point. Allen’s game is much more similar to Cam than Elway. Don’t let later years Cam cloud your judgement. He accomplished more in his first 5 yrs (MVP SB appearance) than Allen has in his first five. So I don’t feel it’s disrespect to compare the two. It would be disrespectful to compare Allen to NE Cam. That’s a road I hope Allen doesn’t go down. Physically broken from trucking defenders.
