I remember on NFL Mic’d Up Kelce said to Mahomes that our guys were defending the sidelines and if they show that look again he’d run down the seam. Then Mahomes said in his cadence before that play ‘Do it Kelce! Do it’ before the ball was hiked. So McD had his guys defended the sidelines even though KC had timeouts left. That was the mistake and Kelce and Mahomes took advantage.

This would be great in my opinion and would not support those narratives. Btw I don’t agree with the overrated label so I am expecting his stats to be in that range if not better. Along with the team to either win the division or make the playoffs as a wc regardless of the quality of weapons.

I hope he has a great year. Because if he doesn’t then the narratives will be supported, unfortunately.

Did you just insult the most successful Bills era? The SB losses were devastating but at least those teams made it to the big game with a chance to win a ring. That’s something this team hasn’t been able to do. So let’s make it to the big game first.

I completely agree. This is a reset season. Hopefully they can make a serious championship run next season.

Given results of the last four years this is a very generous classification for this team. I’m not sure about majority. It seems like there’s a lot of fans that still think this team with Allen will win multiple championships.

This will happen…in about 10 years when Mahomes isn’t there anymore.

You’re the one that said since we have Allen we’d be as successful with this receiving transition as KC was with theirs. I don’t think that will be the case. Let’s see how it goes.

So was I to the OP. The past two years KC ended up winning two Super Bowl trophies and Mahomes won MVP in the first year of changing receivers. My point was Bills couldn’t reach the Super Bowl with more talented receivers how will they do it with lesser talent? I don’t see that happening here this season.

Offense had the ball last in that game. But I’m not necessarily disagreeing with your point. So you’re saying defense has come up short. How has the defense improved going into this season that would propel this team with Allen and a lesser receiving corp into the Super Bowl? As great as Allen is this will be a transition year. Bills will probably win the division to make the playoffs but bow out as usual. I’m predicting a wildcard round exit. Next season is the better shot of a championship run. Imo.

Mahomes and KC made it to two Super Bowls with a dynamic receiving corp then made it to another two after they replaced those guys with jag’s. So yes other teams don’t have Mahomes. Allen and the Bills case aren’t the same. They have not made it to any Super Bowls with a much better receiving corp than what they’re rolling with this season. To expect the same success as KC with mediocre receivers just because of Allen is misguided.

Going into the season expecting to replicate what Mahomes and KC did with subpar receivers isn’t much of a plan. If it’s that viable there wouldn’t be an explosion of receivers contracts in the league.

Aristotle never crossed paths with Socrates. Doug Pedersen never crossed paths with Bill Walsh. It doesn’t mean their philosophies wasn’t a direct influenced by the former.

That’s not negativity that’s reality.
