  1. I agree completely about players from different time periods having different games. At the end of the day they play with the rules that are presented to them. So yes Allen will be considered the best dual threat qb when it’s all said and done. I followed Elway’s career since he was at Stanford. Yes he was a great athlete. But he never threatened defenses with his runs. I consider guys like Elway, Young, Tarkington, even Farve as scrambling QBs not true dual threat QBs. Could they have been in this era? Maybe. Or they could more likely be similar to Mahomes. A scrambling qb from this current era with modern rules.
  2. A qb can’t be considered dual threat rushing for 500 once in a 15 year career span. How can he be dual threat without rushing for at least 500 yards in a season once in 16 years? Allen is a true dual threat qb and is the best in NFL history at this point.
  3. It’s ‘stupider’ only under your assumption that they were trying to score a TD there. You know what they say about assumptions. Like I said go watch the NFL mic’s up version. KC didn’t want to give the ball back with time. Philly knew if they had any time left when they get the ball back they’d win. Both teams were operating under those objectives. If you can’t see that it’s on you. You seem to think the way you see things is the ‘correct’ way. Even when the game turned out exactly like I said after the 1st down was attained.
  4. Yes I’m for real. Juju was faking inside then ran back out. Bradbury’s hold redirected him. Mahomes threw it so far over his head there was no way he could’ve caught it. That throw was a throwaway to draw attention to the infraction. If the hold didn’t happen Mahomes would’ve hit him for the first and Juju would’ve went down. The Super Bowl mic’d up version had the audio of what KC wanted to do. Which was get close and run out the clock. What’s bizarre is you thinking that’s not a plausible plan. You’re a knowledgeable fan. You should know the score was tied at the time. Their best chance of winning was to run out the time and kick a winning fg. Which was what they did. Their defense just gave up a long TD drive. They didn’t want the Eagles to get another chance at it. Now back to the issue with our last game. I know you disagree with my view on the shot to Shakir. You could’ve used a different example than this one with Mahomes. They were operating from a position of leverage in a tied ballgame. We didn’t have that leverage being down a fg. That angle of argument would make more sense. Anyway everyone has an opinion and they don’t always have to match. I can’t wait until the season starts so we could have something new to talk about. This subject is getting stale. This is funny and true. I chuckled out loud. Touche.
  5. Agree to disagree. Juju was the first read. It was designed to get to the sticks. Bradbury had a handful of jersey so that is a holding call 100% of the time. Mahomes saw it and pointed to it almost immediately as he was getting to his feet. Even when that’s the case there are people, like you acknowledged, that still think it’s not a penalty. It goes to show how different people can interpret different things while looking at the same situation. I know if that was a Bills receiver that got grabbed by the jersey like that I’d be pissed if the flag is not thrown.
  6. Holy cow man. That’s a lot of whining. Mahomes is universally acknowledged as the best qb in the NFL right now. Whatever you’re doing with these posts is not changing anyone’s mind that don’t already agree with that. It’s actually having the opposite effect on me.
  7. You don’t think he saw the holding as he was looking directly at it? Yeah that’s my interpretation. You also have your interpretation, not the correct interpretation imo.
  8. I remember watching that Super Bowl and it was obvious they were trying to get the 1st down with that play. Juju went in then cut back out to get separation for the first. Bradbury was beaten by the move and grabbed JuJu’s jersey. Mahomes saw that and threw the ball in that direction to draw attention to the infraction. I remember him jumping up after get hit and pointing to that area then the flag came out. So no Mahomes didn’t make a mistake. He was instrumental in leading his team to exhaust all the time on the clock for a chip shot winning fg.
  9. Bolded is completely uncalled for and misguided. I do think different opinions is what make sports discussions fun. Hopefully Bills can win next time so we’d all be on the same page.
  10. I disagree that elite QBs don’t think that way. Shakir was not the only open receiver on that play. If he was I might understand the decision. But Diggs was wide open shallow on a much easier pass to drain more clock. That would’ve had a higher chance of securing a win and elite QBs definitely think about the best ways to get their teams wins.
  11. I heard that he was able to get there on time. But after the session everyone beat him to the locker room and was done showering by the time he got there…including the OL.
  12. Can’t speak for all but for me the decision to make that throw was what I criticized. KC had two timeouts left with 1:40 if that throw connected. Given Mahomes’ playoffs history and how our defense was playing in that game there’s very little chance we could’ve stopped them if that pass connected for a TD. I was really impressed with Allen’s game up to the 2-min warning. He showed a lot of patience and I really thought we were going score a walk off TD to win the game with hardly any time left and no TO’s for KC. One more 1st would’ve probably did it. But instead we went for the kill shot and got killed. It was disappointing. Look how SF played KC in the Super Bowl. Their last drive in regulation they were methodically moving down the field. No big homerun shots. It took a great defensive play by KC to stop them. SF didn’t succeed but they made it a lot tougher for KC. That’s the formula for beating the Chiefs in the playoffs.
  13. You’re going to get flame for this but you are absolutely correct! Those are legacy defining plays if he makes them. Unfortunately his legacy currently is not getting past KC and Cincy in the playoffs. There was a lot of room to the right for Allen to step up and make a clean throw. Brady wasn’t the most athletically gifted qb but his pocket awareness was second to none. Mahomes is not quite as adept as Brady was but he is still very good at knowing where pressure is coming from so he could change arm angle to complete a pass successfully. This is an area Allen could improve upon imo.
  14. Too bad Cincy couldn’t cash in a championship with that gift. Good luck getting out of that division this season with Balt and Clev being better.
  15. But what if you have many friends of the race you insulted? Surely that must counterbalance the insults.
  16. No wings for the little brat!
  17. Good thing we drafted Coleman.
  18. He will quietly surprise people.
  19. Best team record in the conference? Lamar’s parents must be professors at Hogwarts.
  20. Yeah that’s where I’m at too. We’ll be competitive and most likely win the division again this season but will bow out in the playoffs. ‘25 is when I think it will all come together for a serious run. The over season’s totals has been good for me. Almost like stealing the last few years. Put 1K on that and it’s virtual locked.
  21. Why stop at mvp. +1300 for winning the superbowl.
  22. Be a Bill. If the situation is reversed there would be KC fans with the same kind of takes.
  23. I was going along with your joke bud. As I highly doubt you really thought Purdy and Lamar were 1 and 2 last year.
  24. Exactly. For the regular season. That’s why Mahomes is the best playoffs qb. Now you’re getting it! Good for you.
  25. That might not be football to you. It’s been football my entire life. That’s how records are kept for quarterbacks like it or not.
