1981 season opener with 31-0 win over the Jets. They followed that up in week 2 with a 35-3 win over the Baltimore Colts.

Two years ago, the Sabres had a good year record wise and just missed the playoffs by a 1 or 2 points. I thought for sure last year would be the breakout year and they would make it. But it didn't happen. What went wrong. I am an Isles fan in NJ, so I don't get to see the Sabres that much unless they play one of the three local teams in the NYC/NJ area.

McDermott does seem to get outcoached by Reid in the playoffs. I would have fired him after 13 seconds but the only opinion that matters is Terry's. He likes having Sean and Brandon as his HC/GM. I still say it doesn't matter how well Allen plays as long as the defense continues to disappoint, they will never get to a Super Bowl. Allen will be this generations version of Marino/Ewing. Hopefully with all of the changes on defense it will lead to a better defense that can do their part so the Bills can finally bring a championship to WNY. This fanbase deserves one.

One player no matter how great cannot carry a team to a Super Bowl. It's impossible. The Bills are going to get over the hump with Allen continuing to play well and having the defense step up and doing their part. If that happens then the Bills will get over the hump and get to a Super Bowl. Barring any serious injuries, they will most likely face the Eagles or Lions if they do. I think this is the year Detroit represents the NFC in the Super Bowl.

Stupid Panthers. Need a better effort in game 2. BOB needs to play better in the net. I don't want the Leafs advancing to the ECF.

On the road I would rather the Bills go to Arrowhead. I know they haven't won there in the playoffs, but they have won there plenty of times in the regular season. The Ravens in Baltimore would be the tougher game to win IMHO.

I remember during the MTV days in the early 80's the Flock of Seagulls I-RAN video was pretty cheesy.

I guess it was normal for the times, but I can never imagine going to a football game wearing a suit and tie. When I was kid 70's + 80's fans didn't wear much team merchandise either. Most showed up in t-shirts, sweatshirts depending on the time of year. Just regular clothes without the team colors or logo on them. Now many fans show up wearing jerseys of their favorite players

Just looking at the last 25 years of openers I noticed the Bills have opened against the Jets 6 times, the Pats 4 times and the Dolphins only once. I guess the league likes to save the Bills - Dolphins games for later in the year.

I know they didn't win the division until they beat the 49ers, but I thought the win vs the Rams clinched at least a WC. It was 45 years so I could be wrong.

I am taking a wait and see approach with this defense. On paper they have improved but will that carry over onto the field. Getting to the QB with our front four as well as doing a better stopping the run. If they can improve in these areas, then the Bills should have an excellent chance to get to and win a Super Bowl. Hopefully the defense really has improved. The offense will be fine with #17 leading the way.

These rivalry jerseys are dumb but if the NFL insists on doing this then I suggest this as our rivalry logo.

The one thing the Ravens have to deal with is their division. The AFCN is brutal, and all of the teams hate one another. This division and the NFCE have the strongest rivalries. The Bills have good rivalries with the Pats, Dolphins, and Jets but it's not on the same level of intensity as the AFCN. It really is the black and blue division as the teams just beat the crap out of one another.

Tonight, Panthers vs Leafs. Let's Go Cats. I want 1967 to live forever. Having the Leafs get eliminated is the only thing I want. I don't care which team wins the Cup as long as it's not the Leafs.

I hope Buffalo eventually gets one. As someone who was born on LI and grew up in NJ, I don't know the Buffalo area all that well where could they hold it. Does Buffalo or anyplace near place near Buffalo have the space where they could hold the event with so many people showing up. At least Buffalo is in line for another Winter Classic. Bettman already said so once the Bills new stadium is ready to host events.

Better head coaches? Vrabel has proven to be a good coach but even he hasn't had the regular season success that McDermott has. What exactly has Glenn proven as a HC. He may turn out to be a good one or even a great one, but he has to prove himself. He has one big negative working against him. THE OWNER!

The rivalry uniforms can only be worn against one of the Bills AFCE rivals. It won't be worn against a team outside the division.
