  1. Great clip. Nobody will ever come close to Johnny Carson’s brilliance as a late night host.
  2. LMAO. Are you related to Burrow or his agent? It’s OPENING DAY in the NFL. EVERYBODY should be “revved up.” You may be right though about him still being injured, and that was all the more reason not to give him so much guaranteed money. As I’ve said many times, NFL owners may be filthy rich, but that doesn’t mean they’re geniuses, or even above average “smart.”
  3. Burrow looked pretty good today. /s LOL Wonder if the Bengals owner has any "buyer's remorse" today. LOL again
  4. Because they are responsible for paying these totally outrageous salaries, and no one is forcing them to do so. Some regular Joe/Jane can start their work career at age 21, making a $100k a year, work for FORTY PLUS YEARS, work 50 or so weeks a year, 5 days a week, 40 hours a week, and only make about $4.5 million over those 40 years. He/she may make more with raises, so let’s just say $6 million over 44 years. Of course, most people will not even make as much as I’m showing in my scenario here. These athletes are making $40 million (or even more now) over A SEVEN MONTH work period. To me, that’s insane. And it got to this point because owners made it happen.
  5. Some of you seem to be saying that if somebody is filthy rich (NFL owners), then they must be intelligent/smart/sane. Of course that's not true. Would be like saying all poor people are dumb.
  6. In the game I watched last night, Goff made a ton of incredibly accurate throws. Without a doubt, he was the best, most accurate passer in that game. I guess maybe you're saying that he's usually worse than that, and last night was a fluke? You tell me, because I usually only watch Bills games nowadays, so I have rarely seen Goff play.
  7. IMO, 99% of sports talking head “experts” are a joke. They have no more knowledge or insight than tens of millions of serious NFL fans who have been watching the game for decades. At least former players can give some “inside info” that non-players don’t have access to. How somebody like Mina Kimes, as well as many others, could get paid so much is just astounding. Good for them though.
  8. Safeties and defensive backs are now doing the same thing….vs ALL receivers. Seems like they’re afraid to hit a receiver at all in the middle of the field. The game sure ain’t what it used to be, all for “player safety”, I guess. 🙄
  9. Lions gonna be the Lions. Sigh
  10. Did the Bengals owner pay any taxes on that $375million? I’m thinking YES, so he’s not netting as much as you seem to think.
  11. All of a sudden the Lions D looks like garbage. Sigh
  12. I will LMAO when one (or more) of these guys who have these insanely high cost contracts get hurt, and the owner(s) have to pay them their "guaranteed" money for sitting at home playing Xbox. The high amounts of the contracts are insane, but giving out so much guaranteed money takes the insanity to a new level. 😉
  13. NFL owners are certifiably insane.
  14. Because Buck and Aikman are insufferable? (They are)
  15. If you have more than 4 favorites...and most people will have many more that that...then I assume you have to scroll horizontally to find one of those favorites, as they'll be at the top of the screen? Instead of just punching in a 3 or 4 number code on your remote to instantly go to the channel? Sorry, but that IS much different.
  16. Just as a side note, I visited relatives this past weekend who had YTTV, and I had a chance to operate the remote/channel surf, and I gotta say that was the worst, most non-user friendly system I have ever seen, by far. They only recently got the YTTV service, so maybe they didn’t have it set up properly? On the "guide" screen, channels did not even have a number, so you had to do endless scrolling to find channels, and they weren't organized/grouped by any rhyme or reason.
  17. I get what you’re saying, but for about the last half of last season, JA17 wasn’t exactly performing at superstar level. Yeah, I know he had an elbow injury….but he definitely needs to be at the top of the QB rankings this year.
  18. No SB contending team’s success should EVER be that reliant on one player….especially a defensive player. *Maybe* you could say that about a QB, but without a decent line, a halfway good RB, and some above average WRs, then even a great QB will not hoist the Lombardi.
  19. Agreed. And what you’re really saying here is that the NFL scouts and GMs really aren’t any smarter than intelligent/seasoned fans who have been watching the NFL and college ball for decades. So I get a laugh when I frequently see posters in here denigrate other posters because “you’re just a couch GM…you’re not a professional like the guys in charge at OBD!” 🙄 Thanks for pointing out what should be obvious to anybody with a functioning brain. 😉
  20. “This ain’t my first rodeo.” I dare say that 99% of people who utter this phrase have never been to a real rodeo in their life. LOL
  21. Agree. Bringing in the Brentwood Butcher would not be good! 😉
  22. "He/she lit up a room when they entered it." Apparently, virtually every person that has ever died did this. 😂
  23. Isn't he "happily married?" And the marriage has been for many years?
  24. The funny thing is that a lot of people are just buying theses things to immediately turn around and sell them on ebay for a tidy profit, ala Beanie Babies back in the day. LOL Wondering how many suckers are out there willing to pay a ridiculous price for these things? 🤔
