  1. If Damar's recovery continues in the direction it's looking, I'm pretty certain I know who's gonna be the first guy to hold the Lamar Hunt or Lombardi if we get there... It's gonna be fu***** crazy waterworks. Tens of millions of people crying at once.
  2. I'm sure these guys are tremendously knowledgable and skilled but looking at the two doctors sitting there while the woman was talking... they looked like football fans with backward caps on in scrubs. I could totally picture them in jerseys and knocking back giant cups of beer. Maybe even jumping on a table. Can you picture what I mean? No disrespect just some levity about these two amazing men who helped Damar start this amazing recovery.
  3. Thank you. Good to see a teammate try to explain how it feels from that very different perspective. Dion's a good guy. And Damar is loved and appreciated by many.
  4. " So we blew all our draft picks and salary cap and end up with a record no better than Flores? Brilliant." 😆
  5. Minshew doesn't quite look like the funny and charming 70s comedian/conquering hero in a loss. Maybe he needs to rock a better 'stache and get a new wide-collared shirt.
  6. Are my emotions being toyed with once again? Can Russ pull off an upset here?
  7. I could swear the announcer just said that... Yup, checking the stats it's way off. Apologies. Not sure what I heard then: something about Goff's 20 TDs tying some franchise mark.
  8. I'd say if Josh's good judgment returns we win the Super Bowl. Better throwing decisions and fewer INTs will mean more than Hyde's return — but that would still be very good. Just not counting on it.
  9. I think McDermott would be pretty pis*** if quotes like Boyd's came from a Bills player. I hope the Bills make the Bengals — and Boyd — pay with some great D and some clean bone-jarring hits.
  10. Ok, I watched the video and here are some other things Simms said: Bengals will not run well on the Bills either The Bills zone D could give problems to Cinci and Burrow Simms called McDermott and Frazier geniuses or something to that effect Simms calls the Cinci pass offense "simple" and not in the best way It could be low scoring; Simms doesn't know the line but would take the under White, Simms says, is NOT 100% — this goes a long way to mitigating the outrage of some here So this was not a dump on the Bills at all. Just some quotes without full context. Simms is likely still on for his next bromance get-together for tacos and beers with Josh (though he'll never get more than a hug at the end). Relax, people. The media doesn't hate us as much as we think.
  11. I'd feel a hell of a lot better about this prediction it it included another preposition.
  12. You can bet his wife and kids (if old enough to understand what's at stake) do... Good guy. I really hope he's not putting his long-term wellness in jeopardy right now.
  13. I actually think it's good for the BIlls and Josh if guaranteed money for QBs stays high but the average salary doesn't escalate: It means our competitors will be stuck with overpriced QBs or will have a lot of dead money to deal with, making them less competitive. We likely don't have to worry about guaranteed money with Josh as he a) has given ample evidence to show he is a top-level QB and b) he's pretty durable (yes, I know...). So teams being stuck with bad QBs because of too much guaranteed money works for me.
  14. They must feel like champions to win it all. Without that confidence it won't happen. But if they feel like they're dismissed by much of the NFL and media, that's cool too. You can still feel like a champ and feel like underdogs, IMHO. It's not a binary thing. But believing you can beat any team is paramount.
  15. Pleasantly surprised to see this so soon. Six documented concussions is a lot. If he gets a ring with us, I wouldn't be surprised to see him retire.
  16. He's a huge Allen fan. He gets this ga-ga look in his eyes around his "Boy Blue" (is there a more creepy nickname in sports?) like he wants to date him. I like Simm's QB analysis a lot but hope he's wrong about Tre.
  17. I love how he knows he's miced up and still every third word he says is bleeped! He's awesome to listen to. To fans near the end: "Take your a** home, go to Christmas!" Gold. These are awesome and not just for the funny stuff but to see how players interact with teammates, opponents, fans, and refs on the field. I highly recommend folks here watch this and similar miced-up vids. Thanks!
  18. I don't doubt anyone who says this is a six-month injury (I have no clue). But if that's the case, why is Micah saying stuff like this that he has to know is getting fans curious at the least and hopeful at best?.... "...hopefully when those two weeks are up, we can make something happen.” Make what exactly happen? Why say something like this is there is zero chance he could play soon?
  19. Paywall article but I'll post some highlights https://buffalonews.com/sports/ryan-ohalloran-could-bills-safety-micah-hyde-return-in-postseason-after-neck-surgery/article_0be8e698-85ef-11ed-8586-0fb296488d85.html "You know, it’s not up to me, it’s up to the (doctors),” Hyde said. “Obviously I would love to (play), but it’s out of my control. We’ll take these next couple weeks, try to continue to get better every day and hopefully when those two weeks are up, we can make something happen.” Is Hyde more optimistic about a playoff return than, say, two weeks ago? "I’ll be more hopeful in two days than I am today,” he said. “As long as I keep progressing and keep rehabbing and have no setbacks, we’ll be good.” I'm not counting on it, but if we get a first-round bye and a win... who knows where he's at for the conference championship?
  20. Thanks so much for posting this. Really, really good and insightful read. I had no idea how tight Allen, Keenum and Barkley are. Or that Barkley and his wife cried tears of joy to be back with Buffalo and only make $358K on our practice squad as opposed to $1.2 million minimum as an active roster player somewhere else. To hear Keenum says this is the best QB room he's ever been a part of carries a lot of weight. Wonderful to hear. And about how Case and Matt are at peace with being backups to Josh. This is the kind of writing I wish Buffalo press would do. Instead, it's just a few quotes from post-game interviews spun into articles that show no extra insight for anyone who saw the post-game interview. I, as a regular fan, could do that. Kalyn Kahler, kudos. You dug deeper and got something fresh and interesting.
  21. The guy just had a 50-goal season (oldest to ever do it) and has 22 goals in just 36 games THIS year. So I respectfully but vociferously disagree. Growing up I loved Guy LaFleur — six straight 50-goal and 100-point seasons. Then he hit a wall at 30. Guys today are in such good shape they are extending their careers and playing at a high level well into their 30s. If Ovenchkin ends up with another 20 goals this year, he'll be 72 goals behind the record. with 2 more 36-goal years, he can match it; or 3 more 25-goal years. Considering he has 22 in 36 games I think those are achievable goals unless he gets a bad injury or falls off of a cliff. We'll see... EDIT: I see now you're debating the use of the word "jeopardy"; so I'll meet you in the middle and say it could be in jeopardy. If I had to bet $1000 I might take Ovi in that bet.
