  1. Notable defensive players who are 26 or younger: Elam: 22. Yes, he's not a starter but he's only 22. Maybe he can mature and turn it around. Dorian Williams: 22. Maybe in 2 or 3 years he can replace Milano and in the meantime be a higher-level backup. Benford: 23 Rousseau: 23 Bernard: 24 Oliver: 26 If we Elam can either turn into a starter or we draft a CB that can and a safety, I don't mind a veteran safety from the free-agent market. I think we're set for a while at LB. On the D-line, it would be nice to draft another starting tackle or end. And I'm good with paying Floyd (if the price is right) for one more year. Fine with 32-year-old Jones playing DT another year or maybe two. I know it looks bad, especially paying a 34-year-old what Von gets, but not in a horrible place if we can draft about 3 more starters in the next couple years.
  2. @DrDawkinstein Did the following work to summarize the Tompsett vid: "As a little preview, the detailed plan to get to $72M... No Brainers - Cap Saved Restructure Josh - $23M Restructure Diggs - $13M Restructure Ed - $3M Release Hines - $5M Release Harty - $4M Total - $48M Being $29M OVER cap right now, these moves alone put us $19M UNDER. Tompsett's Preferred/Likely Moves - Cap Savings Extend Dawkins - $7M Extend Douglas - $6M Extend Johnson - $5M Release Siran Neal - $3M Release Sam Martin - $1M Restructure McGovern - $3M With these moves added to the above, the Bills would be $44M UNDER Painful but Possible - Cap Savings Release Poyer - $5.5M Release Tre - $6M Bills now $56M UNDER Prefer Not - Cap Savings Restructure Milano - $2.5M Restructure Knox - $6M Trade Elam - $165k Release Bates - $1.5M Release Morse - $5.5M Bills now $72M UNDER I type all that to once again reiterate, the cap is a myth."
  3. Love has had a great year. And Purdy, the pundits say, is not a system QB but the real deal. Supposedly. Just saying the standard Josh is held to is really damn high. He's good to great most of the time but critics focus on his mistakes.
  4. Highly entertaining game but if Josh made the same throws either guy tonight has made, he'd be roasted.
  5. 27 - 23. Could go either way.
  6. If Josh continues to play the way he did last week we've got a great shot. If he's throwing off of one foot to avoid a sack and across his body, that won't go well. Take what they give us, mix in the runs, be smart, throw it away instead of a high-risk throw.
  7. Felt supremely confident playing Pittsburgh. Now, not so much. Not saying I don't think we can win but with the injuries it's gonna be tough. If we do win, this will be the biggest Buffalo win I've ever seen, I think (fan since about 96).
  8. That made me chuckle.
  9. I see no need to insult Taylor... BUT... the second this game is out of reach for the Chiefs I would love the stadium to play her songs and torment Kelce and the Chiefs. But not until as it will be a horrible look if we actually lose.
  10. Fake fans coming on a fan board to bring up something petty (a rule that "should" exist but does not exist) after a big team win should be a 15-month ban.
  11. Shakir makes plays in the middle of the field and gets YAC. All I see Gabe do is make — sometimes — perimeter catches or go route catches. Yes, they matter but they happen too rarely. I want a guy like Shakir to catch it 12 yards up the middle and run hard for another 10.
  12. Longest QB run in the playoffs as a Bill too (2nd longest of all time).
  13. Pretty damn high. I expect a win. A loss would be shocking and massive cause for concern. If we win and don't get injured, all good.
  14. Mind-control mantras indeed! It's sickening how the league is trying to encourage people to have goodness and kindness in their hearts! Next thing you know, they'll want the players to waste their time with sick kids in hospitals!
  15. If the value for the second guy is there, go for it; if not, don't reach. Take a WR with the 1st (unless you really don't like what's left) and take a good second WR at value somewhere else. We double-dipped with Rousseau and Basham in the same draft so I'm not opposed to it simply on principle but there has to be value. Nothing wrong with getting a 2nd WR in the 4th or wherever.
  16. Ok, I wanted the Chiefs to lose but knowing the Phins fandom will be gutted by this gutless performance by their team, coach (afraid of the cold with face covered is a bad look for his team), and Qb. They can't point to a one or two calls: their team is simply not that good against good teams and in pressure situations. F*** the Phins and their arrogant and ignorant fans.
  17. Tua looks more gutless than Trent Edwards.
  18. Mahomes had been far better than Tua so far but if the Phins can hold them to 3 here the game is well within reach with a fresh start in the second half.
  19. Huge stop making them go for 3.
  20. Dumb-ass third and one call.
  21. Really? People are upset because a politician is making a lighthearted comment saying the opposing team's fan base should avoid a storm and not attend the game in Buffalo? Really? You think THIS will galvanize the Pittsburgh fan base and the team? This is prime bulletin board material? Too ***** much.
  22. Crap weather and crap QB for the opposition means a heavy dose of the Pittsburgh run game. For us to win Bernard will step up and be that player.
  23. In the video (0:15 Baldinger video) Gabe is already turning OUT. This is long before Josh has released the ball. Josh saw Gabe turn out so he threw it out. If the hot read is an IN then why did Gabe try to fake the CB with an out first and confuse Josh? Josh reacted to what Gabe was doing. Unless they both knew the route was a fake out and then turn in, this is on Gabe. Look at the video and see Gabe turning out long before Josh has thrown the ball. Given the numbers the OP posted about a higher percentage of mistakes happening with Gabe, it's logical to draw the conclusion why.
  24. On that first INT it's absolutely asinine when Gabe has leverage on the CB going outside to turn back inside where he doesn't have leverage and where there are more bodies. I'm just a fan who plays pick-up ball once or twice every week but I keep going OUT on that route 100 times out of 100. Am I wrong?
