  1. Glad, thanks to this thread, I've confirmed what certain words mean now. To my kids who when they ask me if they can have a cat. "That's somewhat probable." To women on dating sites who don't look like their profile photos that were actually taken several years ago — before the fat and wrinkles really set in — and who want a second date with me: "That's somewhat probable." To my future woman when she asks me if I want to do yoga Saturday mornings with her: "That's somewhat probable." Thanks, OP!
  2. I don't think I've EVER seen Edmunds get a sack like that. Really happy with Bernard and glad we're not paying Edmunds $18 million a year.
  3. Give Eddie some skittle's; he's in Beast Mode.
  4. I think Stick might be a decent backup...
  5. Love the Douglass trade pickup. He's a big-play machine.
  6. Love the new run-blocking dominance and the hard-running of Fournette. yes, we are a passing team but, man, being able to run the ball down the other team's throat is so satisfying too.
  7. Before the fumble I was thinking, everyone talks about how fast Harty supposedly is but I can't remember a single electrifying big run by him. And then...
  8. In no one's dictionary is a 1% chance "somewhat probable." Write more accurate headlines and people won't question your writing skills.
  9. probable adjective likely to happen, to exist or to be true possible adjective [not usually before noun] that can be done or achieved https://www.oxfordlearnersdictionaries.com/us/
  10. Pleasantly surprised on three counts: 1. Morse: I really thought the concussions were the end for him. Good to see him playing well though I really hope he's not jeopardizing his long-term mental wellnesss. 2. Dawkins: those off-season vids really made him look unathletic, but he's playing well 3. Brown: virtually everyone wrote him off and he's been decent, I think. Maybe he's healthy and his back was a big part of the problem last year.
  11. How to watch the NFL in Europe. Good question. I'd start with a beret, and a plate of stinky cheese...
  12. Not sure if I'm giving him a ring but after spanking Dallas with JUST THE RUN GAME I'll tickle his taint. If we keep winning, who knows.
  13. Even without Elam turning into a starter yet (and I'm not convinced he will never be a good starter) the Cook and Bernard picks in rounds 2 and 3 are making the 2022 draft a success. That's not even counting Shakir and Benford who were taken in the 5th and 6th, respectively. (And Araiza was taken also in the 6th and him not playing is not due to football issues). That draft is looking like an A grade even with Elam not starting, Amazing. If Elam ever starts, that's an A+ draft for sure.
  14. Was tired of hearing for years that we have to improve our tackling but we tackled really well today. All the more impressive given the size of our linebackers. The Bills were always swarming to the ball on D and it was really impressive. Pass rush without the need for blitzes was good too. Given the injuries to key players, it's all the more impressive. I wasn't happy with McD for a long time but he's done well lately.
  15. Belichick would make a perfect Grinch in a movie. Hope he spoils the the holidays for the KC Crybabies. A lead right now is a good start.
  16. Hell of a pick by that Pats guy!
  17. Good. But I'm more happy that most NFL fans see Mahomes and Reid as whiny *****.
  18. I don't want him back at almost any price. He'd be taking up a valuable roster spot that should go to a real #2 (either rookie with traits and production or a free agent; because of our cap situation I prefer the rookie route). And I don't want him at a number 3 or 4 also because of the cap situation and I feel Shakir can do the job of a 3 or 4 at much lower cost.
  19. All I could see from the football screen was "My wife was diagnosed with" and I thought, oh, man... I came here to offer words of support. I still hope she's ok but I am glad I didn't have to read another C-word instead. Take care.
  20. Julie DiCaro is my new favorite writer. Glad to see someone call out these whiny entitled #######s.
  21. Not sure this is a sign the Brady has the job locked up for next season. It just seems like they're giving Brady resources (a person he's familiar with and, I assume, respects) to do the best job he can this season.
  22. Well, if you were willing to blame Dunne for being a distraction for this KC game, are you willing to credit him for galvanizing the team?
  23. Big Ed. Never have so many of us been so wrong.
  24. More throws to Cook....
