Didn't notice a problem as first but, yeah, some WRs will get a lot more YAC or even go the distance. Not the worst example, however, of why Davis is not acceptable as WR2.

To me the question is: he may or may not be accountable to the team and ownership, but is he accountable to the fans (I think not) and is he obligated to be accountable to the fans? Do we fans deserve more accountability for 13 seconds and games like the Broncos game? Or do we just pay our money/watch our screens and take what they give us and that's it? I'm not being facetious. I'm actually not sure but I think I can construct arguments both ways.

I'm sure some find it crass, but I'd donate some bucks for a billboard with a message like this: (Minus the typo!)

I'll tell you what I'm hoping for: glimmers that Josh and key offensive players still have greatness within them, but I'll be more than happy with a losing record this year to ensure a coaching reset next year. Fixing the OC position is not enough and a band-aid fix.

When evaluating McDermott, and other coaches, I don't think it's a binary question of is this coach good or bad, a winner or a loser. Just like with players, there are some better-than-average or good coaches who will never be great, or championship calibre. But, whereas, with one player he is always surrounded by 10 others, and you can't have 11 great or championship-calibre players on the field at once, a head coach's impact is far greater and less dependent on the impact of his staff than one player is. That's where I put McDermott, a good but not great coach. He got the team upright after the drought, but he can't help the Bills challenge for a championship on a consistent basis.

I've said it before and will say it again: I want the Bills to either do really well or to flame out this year. I don't want us to go 4 and 3 the rest of the way and have a "winning" record that retains McDermott. You've heard of being in quarterback limbo, that would put us in coach limbo. We need to blow it up and restart with new leadership.

I was just thinking about the Madden curse before seeing this. There could be a couple rational reasons why cover players have bad years... 1. Hubris. It makes a player feel like the biggest superstar in the game. Remember, these are people in their 20s, not adults with a long period of maturity as a frame of reference. When Josh is saying crap like "I'm the best athlete in the world!" on video, you know his head has gotten bigger (and not because it's filled with more football study). 2. Other teams are more motivated to take you down. I think psychology is huge in sports and I don't think being on the Madden cover is a good thing. Maybe it's just dumb luck but Josh's psyche is not in the right place this year and being on Madden surely didn't help.

I'll never quit on the Bills but I have quit on this regime. It's in the best interest of the team to reset the coaching and leadership and I'll take a losing record this year to do it. If some people say that's not being a fan, f*** 'em, I'm thinking about the best long-term interests of the Bills and Josh Allen, an elite QB now halfway through his best years with nothing to show for it.

I actually thing the 12-men penalty is a good thing. It makes the coaching staff look even worse... I'm serious. It's a humiliating way to lose and we needed to be humiliated for Pegula to rethink this team's future.

Upside is that many of us might get the coaching changes, at some point, perhaps in the offeason, we want. We shall see...

I partially agree. The D is/was fine. The offense stank. But being ill prepared and not having a viable and "easy" passing plan is partially the responsibility of the staff.

If the Bills lose, and it's not looking great for them, they deserve it. And the team and staff deserves all the heat they get.
