  1. I chalk it up to the fact that he’s a big kid in a man’s body. He left Bama because he was homesick (apparently) and is returning to Bama because he went on spring break with some of his buddies (supposedly) and they talked him into it. Homesick. Peer pressure. Indecisive. I say with no malice, this is kid stuff. And the rules allow for this right now.
  2. Just for today, I think I’m gonna trust the process a little bit more.
  3. If you look at the gallery of pictures there are no clear shots of Tyler’s face. Musta pissed off the cameraman! Haha
  4. Yes, we absolutely should have. I feel strongly that if Fields had better coaching he MAY make a significant leap. I followed him closely in college and know he has real upside.
  5. I’d be surprised if it were for anything else. They have likely had discussions with a team higher on the board and are looking to get into a particular spot. Depending on what what pick they climb to, I imagine they must be comfortable with the top… maybe 4 QB prospects. Finally, I want to see where Justin Fields ends up (New England? Las Vegas? Minnesota?) and how that reshuffles the deck.
  6. He won’t be there. But, yes, due to his special skill set, I would take him. Too good of a player to pass up. Let Joe Brady figure it out. With that much talent it really wouldn’t be that hard. Find the favorable matchup and bleed it till they stop it.
  7. Stop, you’re making me fall in love! My favorite Patriot QB by far! This is the most beautiful thing I’ve seen today… a close second, the sunrise… hahaha Serious question though, why is Mac Jones, with long hair added, prettier than his own mother? Lots of complex feelings here… 😂 GO BILLS!
  8. And besides, it really depends upon the Bills board and how they’ve stacked it. They *could* have the receivers ranked very differently than the internet consensus. For example, maybe they have Legette as their third guy. Maybe they want to bet on his measurables, for example. Who knows… I just hope they get help for Josh early and their pick pans out
  9. Such a trade would likely be contingent on who is available on draft night. That said, I think it likely that the top three guys are gone by that point (Harrison, Odunze, Nabers). If so, is Thomas worth a pick that high? Brock Bowers certainly is, but I don’t think he will be an option for us.
  10. I can see the temptation to apply “crushing force”… but it’s still a no-no Mr. Hill!
  11. If you close your eyes - as a fan of the NFL - and pretend the NIL doesn’t exist the only difference you are probably going to see is a better NFL product in the long run. Draftable kids are going to stay longer and be even more refined. They all have to come out eventually. We will see them in the pros. Besides players that would otherwise be drafted high, and decide to stay for some reason, thereby risking their health, I think it will ultimately be a good thing for the vast majority of players. Especially after things get smoothed out with better rules.
  12. Geez… it didn’t even enhance his performance that much… On a serious note, I feel for these guys. Yes they make a lot of money, but you wreck your body year after year and keep trying to bounce back as the body ages. I imagine a certain level of desperation sets in and you look for any solution whatsoever. Classic rock and a hard place…
  13. I remember thinking “Please don’t take Elam. Woolen is a better prospect.” I didn’t like Elam as a prospect that year. Ouch
  14. I hope not. I want him giving his all on the field. Talk about an energy drain… 😍
  15. I work in a hospital with people in similar situations. I know life will never be the same. My thoughts are with you. One thing has gotten me through great tragedy after the initial period of grief. It’s this maxim: ”Love from as deep a place as this pain has touched.” Tragedy cuts us to depths we didn’t even know we had. The only thing that can bring light out of that new dark place is to push the seeds of love down to those depths. Thats the best I have to give you brother.
  16. Right. I don’t hate McDermott. On the one hand, he’s a very fine coach and we are lucky to have him. But he just isn’t good enough. That’s no a criticism of him, per se, it’s just putting him in the context of his most talented peers. As a Bills fan I’m desperate for a SB win. And because of that, though I respect McD, I don’t care about his feelings and I’m ready to see something different while Josh is still in his prime.
  17. Winning in the NFL - assuming the leaders even know what they are doing - is a game of inches on and off the field. Terry Pegula pointing to Mahomes but not insisting on the pick… Playing soft D and making 13 seconds enough… A failed fake punt, a dropped pass, a missed kick… Right now Reid and Spagnola do everything in the center right AND win on the margins. It’s like playing my wife in cards: I always play her close, but somehow she plays her hands better when it counts and comes out on top. Beane and McDermott are damn good, just not the best. And unfortunately we are seeing a Brady/Belichick level duo each year in the playoffs. I’m grateful for the run we are on, but they have better juice. Against Reid/Mahomes - in the context of going against the greats - McDermott is lacking and that’s a problem. But realistically, what are we to do? I’m tempted to give Belichick a go, but that could be a disaster as well… Its hard to have faith in a loving God if you’re a Bills fan! 😂
  18. What about Mac’s daddy? He’d have to approve, right?
  19. Only if it’s attached to his mother, and even then…
  20. It was… but that damn word “almost”! If we are gonna roll with McD then I hope to hell we get some playmakers for Josh and stay healthy next year.
