  1. Honestly, not really interested until we are in an AFCC. Only really care about champions anymore. Just can’t keep going around the wheel. It’s tiring.
  2. This was when I realized that just because someone works themselves into a position to call the shots for an NFL team in the draft doesn’t mean they know what the hell they are doing. Like many of you, I couldn’t believe Ngata was available. His physical talent was off the charts and anyone with eyes could see that he was a can’t-miss prospect. And yet… I remember Marv after the draft saying, “We looked at the best teams in the league and they all had really good safeties…” Oh fu….dge… Couldn’t believe my ears: ignored blatant special talent for some weird ideological idea.
  3. Ouch! I’m wounded!! Section122, if you provide me with your address I’ll send you the “Internet Meanie” trophy, which is a very small, yet very well crafted, brass man thingy. Just let me know…
  4. Besides Dorsey at QB, they would have been a pretty good team in the NFL if they would have stayed together. I voted “yes” to the thought experiment mainly because 1) I have no hope that the Bills will ever win a superbowl (praying I’m wrong) and 2) OSUs roster is great and it’s fun to think about. This is probably a sign of Bills-induced clinical depression… Now I gotta get ready for message board jujitsu because Pete and DrDawkinstein are coming for blood… lol Come on boys! Do your worst! Hurt my feelings! lol
  5. If Josh Allen wouldn’t age (to let the OSU guys mature) sure I’d do it. OSU is full of blue chip players (correlates with NFL success) and they have a much larger roster (85) so the cream would rise. I’d do it strait up with Sayin (and St, Clair may be a stud). He reminds me of Montana. Hope I have to eat crow someday, but the Bills ain’t winning a championship anytime soon. The talent is way too uneven. Beane isn’t good at evaluating talent at all positions. (EDGE & WR esp.) And he way undervalues offensive playmakers. PS Would have preferred last year’s OSU roster.
  6. McBeane = good, not great. Wasting a generational talent at QB. Josh is currently the new Dan Marino. And even Marino played in a SB. No guarantees, but time to try something different. Honestly, love the Bills but I don’t enjoy watching them play at least half of the time anymore.
  7. I can’t even remember, but I’m gonna miss that ole pumpkin head
  8. Saban’s breakdown was great. I honestly feel that Patrica’s scheme/example is going to change college football. Other top teams are either going to copy this or get left behind. Not sure how many defensive coordinators run schemes so complex but the demand is going to rise I think.
  9. I know, right? I was hopeful when Patricia got hired that he’d return to form in the role he’s done his best. And boy oh boy… Gonna have to figure out a way to play against tempo. IL had some success with it and I’m sure other teams will try it too.
  10. Thank you for calming me down.
  11. Watching Ohio State and Illinois: Jeremiah Smith catch ruled NOT a catch. Really hate that call. Yes it was close, but there was pass interference (DB hit his hand) before the ball even arrived. Yuck.
  12. If Brady moves on after this season I bet we could get Daboll back as OC… hahaha
  13. Damn… he actually does… lol
  14. Jumping in to mention Sayin. He reminds me of Joe Montana: similar build, great decisions, great accuracy, very cool demeanor. I’m very impressed so far.
  15. If his mom had stayed quiet I wouldn’t of even known how bad he sucks…
  16. Free clicks and easy to say until they win… meh
  17. Never If he did on the street what he does to other men on the field, he would be arrested. He has genuine problems he can’t control. So, very seriously, no
  18. Yeah, I like to see PSU do well as long as it isn’t against us. I hear you, if you guys had a solid passing game, watch out. Last good one was Trace McSorley. Not sure why PSU can’t get it together in that department. The D is always good and your running backs are awesome. it must be really frustrating.
  19. His performance, especially contrasted to Julian Sayin’s first start, looked extra not great.
  20. Yes, I was particularly impressed with Sayin’s decision making. The only truly sub-optimal choice I saw him make (beyond not seeing some open guys) was to throw the ball away and stop the clock near the end of the game, as opposed to tucking and running and keeping the clock running. The fact that he made such great decisions in his first start on that stage bodes VERY well.
  21. Hartline was calling the plays. But I agree. I sit there watching the game saying “don’t try to run it up the middle right now” and then that’s exactly what they do for no gain. Exasperating. They won the championship last years, so okay, but I HATE when the force play calls for the sake of “identity” or whatever instead of doing the same things over and over again that the defense is UNABLE TO STOP. This is an ongoing issue under Day. GO WITH THE FLOW OF THE GAME. I respect him but this drives me nuts. Weirdly stubborn.
