  1. I would love to agree, but their offensive yards per play has been tending in the wrong direction for our defense for the last three playoff games against them. Obviously being full strength would be better, but I’m finally starting to not be able to deny the pure differential in coaching talent.
  2. Yeah, we turn it up in the playoffs too. They just turn it up a little higher.
  3. My thoughts exactly. Top three guys gone. Take any of the four mentioned - Thomas, Franklin, Mitchell, or Leggett - in whatever order the team prefers.
  4. Said it well. Enjoy being free of the burden of longing that got hardwired into my head during our Super Bowl years. I think I'll be relieved as I am happy... But boy would I be happy
  5. This is what I would like the Pegulas to consider. The problem is, would Belichick actually give up control over this aspect of his team? Even if he claimed he would? If Belichick would actually cede control of running the draft to a talented GM, and dedicate himself to tailoring plans to the talent given him, THEN I would be interested in having the conversation. And wouldn’t it be amazing if the man responsible for us losing our first Super Bowl was the one to get us our first win? That would go down in NFL lore.
  6. Haven’t written on the site in some time, but here I go… again… (Imagine I just said a bunch of nice things about Sean McD… okay) I hope Beane is distancing himself from McD because there is going to be a change of head coach. Do I expect this to happen? No. And that’s what sucks as a fan right now. If feels painfully obvious to me that McD has peaked. His limitations as a coach fall below the heights of winning a Super Bowl. Beane is also to blame to a degree in not surrounding a franchise QB with weapons to match his skills. Allen himself had to apparently text the brain trust “Kincaid” on draft night last year. This shouldn’t be. Josh Allen shouldn’t have to tell an NFL GM and coach to give him talented weapons. We may luck into a championship someday, but as a fan I’m getting desperate for a coach with enough of a brain and a killer instinct to maximize Allen’s talent and bring us a MF Super Bowl. Time is running out and fake punts aren’t the answer.
  7. It's also a straw man, but I bet you don't care.
  8. Yes, the gap was painfully obvious yesterday. That and Joe B is looking like the next you-know-who quarterback. His combo of talent, smarts, and killer instinct is (in my humble opinion) the best in the NFL. Others are better than him in some facets of the game, but to me he has the best overall package. And I know that's saying a lot (Mahomes, Allen, I know....) And no, this is not recency bias. I'm a long time Ohio State fan and have watched him since HS. Teammates (OSU RB Mike Weber, specifically) predicted this. Add to Burrow's profile the fact that the Bengals (!) have put the seemingly perfect staff and players around him... Going to be VERY hard to beat him going forward.
  9. Even more solo internet romance? Not that there's anything wrong with that! Lol
  10. Yes, if part of the dome would have collapsed and landed on Joe Burrow and a few O linemen... Then MAYBE this team could have beat the Bengals today.
  11. Yeah. The writing is on the wall. This team is second tier and no resources to build. Breaks my heart but is what it is. I'm afraid a teardown is the only thing that's gonna give Josh a consistent chance to WIN a Superbowl. We were chasing the Chiefs and the Bengals built a monster that's better than both of us. I've never said this before, but if there is a head coaching candidate out there that can truly give us a chance, yes, tear it down. I'd love to be wrong...
  12. After watching all the playoff games, the Bengals, the Chiefs, and the Eagles are all a level or two above us in terms of talent, coaching, and most especially mentality.
  13. You nailed it, unfortunately. And there is no quick fix for this. The Bills went all in for this year and it just isn't good enough.
  14. Not me. I know we needed CB help in the draft but I argued with my buddy saying we needed a top shelf WR.
  15. The Bills are like a supermodel on ruffies at a rap album release party. The Bengals are all the dudes. This team is disgusting today. Maybe she'll wake up and go all Kill Bill in the second half??? Yikes
  16. I like when he slammed the guy's head into the turf, the dude who fondles other players. Not right, but felt right. I was glad he didn't get his ass suspended. Thank you, Spencer! (But don't you dare do it again, okay?)
  17. Bass at 47 yards for the WIN
  18. I seriously want the Giants. Wouldn't that be perfect?
  19. That makes sense. I don't watch TV (except for Bills games) and don't listen to the radio or read many sports columns. If people are trashing Josh I think it's either misinformed lazy types or people looking for viewers or clicks. Josh is incredible. He had a great game against the Dolphins and was let down by his supporting cast. I mean they did enough, but if the receivers caught the ball, yes, the game wouldn't have been close. Josh is great. The scary part is he really does have room for improvement. I love him to death.
  20. I love Josh. I'm thankful for him and his play. Your points on this game are well taken. That said.... There is room for improvement. That's not hating on the guy. He's so special that this kinda feast or famine approach is working. That said, occasional bombs with occasional running would be more effective with a good check-down / short game. Harder on defenses. I bet Josh thinks he can improve. If so, I agree with him. He has the ability to be perhaps the greatest of all time (though I don't know that he could catch Brady in the SB's) but he has more tools than anyone I've ever seen.
  21. This exactly. Besides needing to draft more offensive talent, this is where the Bills (Josh) can improve the most. Checking down will keep drives alive, keep the opposing offense off the field, lead to more time of possession, AND open up more deep passes. Love Josh. Want him to take the next step in smart quarterback play. If we are going to beat elite teams consistently this is what it's going to take. He needs to be a bit more Brady and less Farve.
  22. I wish this offense would play the game like grownups and stop acting like they are playing Madden. Seriously. Jesus christ
