  1. Well it appears we’ll be heading into year 7, at 28 years old, with just 1 AFCCG loss, a couple of meaningless Pro Bowls, and a Madden cover. It’s time to re-fresh the coaching, philosophy, and talent around him and give this another run. Trade talk is a waste of time.
  2. No. He’s a stop-gap, depth player. Albeit valuable due to his versatility.
  3. The "top 5" roster proclamation that was championed here back in August was nutz.
  4. The offense is Allen, Kincaid, and Diggs (presumably). The defense is Milano (assuming he recovers), Oliver (due to contract), and Taron Johnson (by necessity). Then you can maybe toss in Bernard, Rousseau, and Torrence and hope they develop. Just about everyone else are free agents, potential cap casualties, or in desperate need of upgrade.
  5. When the time comes, it will be a mutual parting of ways or retirement. Nothing is going to "cost" Belichick his job.
  6. The notion Belichick would be fired mid-season, fired at all, or that this weekend makes a bit of difference is absurd.
  7. The Bills taking a step back was expected this year. There were pitfalls all over the roster. The irritant will become overexposure from all these prime time games.
  8. Bingo.
  9. Beane and McDermott would have to be fired together. Cardinals had no problem axing their regime after extensions, but I doubt that interests Pegula financially. I guess removing Dorsey buys McDermott yet another season. I’m more worried about Beane overseeing what likely will amount to a substantial roster overhaul. Or even worse, he tries to run it back to save his job.
  10. It does seem the aggression in Allen’s game has tapered off. Multitude of possible reasons: coaching, scheme, injuries, weight, confidence, defensive adjustments, etc. The problem is that Allen no longer dominates physically and the mental part of the game isn’t compensating.
  11. In no way does that Cincy game draw parallels to the comeback energy in Tampa.
  12. I’m not sure there’s a more dire roster situation in the league when you consider age, injuries, bloated contracts, # of pending free agents, and salary cap issues. Having a top 10 QB is the wildcard, but I can’t name more than 6-7 “core” players going into next season.
  13. Nothing unusual about any of this. It’s the typical dents in the armor of a waning regime. There’s a disconnect - whether between coaches/coaches, players/players, or coaches/players - we may never know. But the sheen is gone.
  14. This calls for an Epenesa lucrative extension.
  15. White is done as a Bill. Miller is back next season due to the contract and cut after next season. I doubt Knox is going anywhere - perhaps a restructure.
  16. And part Allen not trusting what he sees and reverting to the comfort of holding onto the ball and moving away from the pocket.
  17. Accuracy, decision making, leadership, composure, among other things.
  18. A better question is why doesn’t Buffalo carry a starter-quality running back on their roster?
  19. OP is quite extreme, but I do think this regime is sputtering out. Lots of tough personnel decisions in a pseudo rebuild this winter. I’d prefer Beane wasn’t making those decisions but something tells me Pegula will bring everyone back. Allen isn’t going anywhere obviously.
  20. Or Allen or Beane?
  21. I thought 9-11 wins was the sweet spot. Still have a good shot at 9.
  22. I’m surprised he’s playing and I wonder who has the final say. That being said, they don’t have a lot of options. Epenesa and Rousseau have been non-factors recently.
  23. They look similar to what we saw most of last season. They flash but no consistency. Need to accept Daboll was the creative force on offense and the defense has gotten old, slow, and fragile.
  24. Beane added Sherfield and Harty and kept Davis as WR2. And at this juncture, those decisions allow every defense to simply double Diggs.
  25. He tried drawing the call rather than go for the tackle.😑
