For a 6-6 team, it's wild that fans still post the "top 5" fluff. It seems that hill will be littered with bodies.

I was confident until Allen's INT. Even still, game had me engaged and I thought there was a chance. All hope was lost once it went into OT.

Bills are on a linear regression from conference championship loss to divisional implosion to divisional blowout to missing the playoffs. They’re back in cap jail with nothing to show for it. Litany of pending free agents and other major question marks heading into next season such as Poyer, Hyde, White, Miller, Dawkins, Brown, Morse, Davis, etc. When and if McDermott gets fired, Beane goes too.

Great kick, but yesterday’s game is rather meaningless for the Eagles. The stage wasn’t big enough.

He’s a quality depth/rotational piece. But Beane injected him into the lead role.

Coaches are stuck having to somehow mitigate Cook’s gaffes. Ducking out of bounds one yard short of the first down a couple plays before the drop was maddening.

“Hitting” on Allen essentially amounts to choosing him over Rosen. I guess that deserves some amount of credit.

Perhaps he’s starting to slow with age and it contributes to his frustration knowing he isn’t close to a Super Bowl.

I don’t think anyone is blaming Allen for the loss. The fair question in the OP is what more can he do. The obvious answer being to avoid the game-changing INT in the fourth quarter. Reality is that Allen’s monumental effort and big numbers were still smattered with turnovers/misreads/miscommunication in the clutch.

McDermott and Beane have to go (they won’t). This regime is shot. There’s a soft underbelly in both the approach and roster construction. They’ll always be good enough to not get blown out in the big games.

Hurts was unstoppable in the fourth quarter and overtime and won the game. Allen was great, but left the game up to his defense.

Can’t knock the effort. Terrific game. It seems the Bills always make just enough mistakes or leave just enough plays on the field to inevitably fold and blow the wild ones.

Not throw a bad and back-breaking INT in the 4th quarter to give away the lead.

Really impressive effort that half.
