  1. Not bad. Solidifies 2 spots, Special Teams Gunner & CB depth (not a bad idea given other pending free agents at those spots). Would rather it be Phillips & Bates we're locking up 1st, but that's more pricey so I get Beane taking the lower hanging fruit.
  2. Phillips resign will be a factor. But June 1st is the date to watch. If he's going, that's when it'll happen, to maximize savings. Interesting to see how he does in OTAs (if there's a lack of ability, availability or effort wonder if it forces a decision)
  3. Kirk would be interesting & looks like a good get. I'd be for that. Not sure Beane goes that route & put that much $ into slot WR FA though. Just seems like he's looking to retain Beasley (probably w/ lower cap hit) & will look to spend $$ on a legit FA pass rusher (was sniffing around Watt & Von Miller last year).
  4. Not on that contract w/ that injury history. & Certainly not for that trade compensation to play out of position in the slot, replacing a proven player. (That's about 4 reasons not to. Beane is too smart to do this. IMO)
  5. 1988 '88 AFC Championship loss to Bungles Taking my wife & kids to their 1st game this year. Going crazy the moment the drought was broken. My kids hugging me when Allen-Davis scored w/ 13 ticks to go. Bruce Smith (drought: Freddy Jackson). Current: got to be Josh Allen Junk food is king on game day!
  6. Oh really, no such thing as a jinx? It's not just that I'm a little-stitious, this is based on real scientific "analysis", look: https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2021/10/27/22746974/analysis-buffalo-bills-record-by-uniform-colors-shows-clear-correlation Blue pants = jinx. Facts! 😉 🤞 🍀
  7. As long as we adios the jinxy blue pants.
  8. 1. CB - If Levi Wallace prices out of Buffalo & we don't get a good FA replacement CB is an immediate need. 2. DT- Phillips is a priority resign that should get done & take a little pressure off DT (which still needs depth). 3. IOL - (had this #1 before Bates started). Bates is another priority resign who should be back. They'll want to restructure Williams. If either of those things falls through or Morse retires this moves to #1 need. But even if it doesn't we will need a guard center piece to draft & develop behind Morse & our guards. 4. Slot WR - sounds like Beane wants Beasley back (given end of season comments) though will want to restructure. They could go a FA route, of not this feels like a round 3 or later draft piece to develop behind Beasley (like they did w/ Davis who was a round 2). 5. TE - depth player behind Knox. FA or later draft pick. 6. RB - I don't think they value this position as high so this seems like we other a FA or later round pick.
  9. Interesting depth ranking of positional groups in the draft: (might dictate how some teams prioritize their boards) https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/2952735-ranking-each-positional-group-in-the-2022-nfl-draft.amp.html
  10. Quite a few interesting free agent names available. Here's the list: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/all/quarterback/
  11. Answer to the Q is: NO!
  12. Good for him & good for the Steelers. Hope it works out except when they play the Bills.
  13. Ross could loose more than the team. He was the owner of a sports betting business at the time of this (see link below). If they can prove he was paying to throw games while running a sports betting business that stood to make $ on those losses, that's a federal racketeering indictment & a possible prison term. Long way to go to get evidence to prove it. But w/ NFL getting into the gambling business this could get to be an issue pretty quickly. https://www.yogonet.com/international/news/2019/11/29/51709-nfl-39s-miami-dolphins-39-owner-stephen-ross-invests-in-sports-betting-startup
  14. No way. That fair weather fan nonsense is for the weak. If I stick it out & live & die with every play & get back up each time this team lets me down, then, 1 day, 1 glorious day when they finally win it all, that victory will be that much sweeter, bc I will have earned it living through those tough times. See there's nothing wrong with being a die hard fan it's completely healthy.
  15. With how much more young QB talent the AFC has over the NFC & how much more potent the AFC offenses appear in general, it's surprising how poorly those AFC offenses & QBs have faired against the NFC in the last 2 super bowls.
  16. Noticed they were pushing electric cars hard. The Scarlet Johansen, Colin Jost commercial was funny. But Larry David or the Big Lebowski we're the best IMO.
  17. If Spain had laid down like a speed bump he'd of obstructed Donald's path to the QB better than he did as a blocker. Terrible whiff at critical moment. & His reaction after... No accountability. Glad he's not a Bill. Doubt he'll be a Bengal for long.
  18. Sums up my feelings on the game: https://images.app.goo.gl/So3E1R3pv569tWVd8
  19. Either: His ego has outgrown LA & only a national job, where everyone can marvel at his "genius" will do now. Or He knows the house of cards in LA collapses after this & is getting out while the getting is good.
  20. Unrealistic question, it would take a lot more than this to trade to #1 (try like three 1sts & 2nds) to go from 25 to 1. The question is would you be willing to trade all of that for a swing at 1 player who may or may not pan out & will take a few years to develop, while our Superbowl window is open now. It's a no brainer the answer is no. & Beane isn't going to do it. So let's stop with the silly questions.
  21. I guess I'd say they're innocent your Honor, except for that Pats equipment guy, in the bathroom playing with the balls & an air needle. Plus none of Indy's balls (which were not invited to go to the bathroom) didn't have the same problem. That's tough to explain... But I guess Florio & the Boston Media will write next that the equipment guy was known to wash Tom's balls in the bathroom during games. Still not buying it. Guilty (but didn't matter they'd have won the games anyway, which is why it was stupid cheating).
