Browns mishandled this for sure & now it's biting them. But Baker should look in the mirror & ask why did Beckham want out & why the Browns want to replace him, then put in the work to make the changes in his game necessary to improve. Unless it's guaranteed, after a couple 2-15 seasons where he underperforms that contract & another coaching/scheme change, he'll get cut or restructured & won't see a large chunk of that change. But can't blame him for going for the money.

Good. Bates is a good piece to keep. Line played much better with him in. Now if only they could retain Phillips, but he's probably pricing out of Buffalo.
