NFL Week #18 - Patriots* @ Bills - 1st half game thread
Donuts and Doritos replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
This team is done. Offensively they've got nothing. Allen looks off (missed Davis for the TD, then that pick). Looks rattled & uncomfortable in the offense. Has time & either doesn't throw or WRs aren't getting open. While the Defense let's guys run wide open. Nooo way we beat Cincy or KC playing like this. & It's been like this for a while & I don't see any improvement. The O-line, lack of WR2 & slot, weak secondary & no pass rush is too much to overcome. -

So much for the emotional momentum. They don't look ready to play anyone in the playoffs. -

Sean McDermott should be Coach of the Year
Donuts and Doritos replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree 100%. McD should coach this team as long as he wants to. He's guided them through tons of adversity this season, but Monday night was something else. To pull his team off the field & tell the NFL we're not playing takes balls. He put his players first. He just earned every benefit of the doubt with me. Nothing but respect for that guy. What if the Bills refuse to play the Patriots?
Donuts and Doritos replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
From the upper deck I could see them pumping away frantically at his chest & the AED out to shock him back to life. It took the wind out of my sails for this season. What I couldn't see, was them sticking a long tube down the throat of his lifeless body to intubate him so he could breathe, but his teammates got a real up close look at that. Everyone has their breaking point. Everyone. It's our team, but it's their life. The decision is & should be up to them. They may be forced to play but if their hearts not in it I would understand. I know they have to get back up but if that's not until next year I wouldn't be surprised, a few might even walk away for good. I really, really, really want them to win a SB. But right now, I want nothing more than Damar Hamlin to wake up & walk out of that hospital. What the players decide they can handle doing is up to them, I for one will support them either way. Go Bills! -
100% with you I was stunned & in shock sitting in the stands seeing pieces of his uniform and equipment getting thrown to the side as you could see them run & frantically perform CPR for what seemed like forever & a defibrillator being put back in the ambulance, then holding your breath waiting to see if they could even get him breathing enough to get him in the ambulance. I actually thought Oh My God he might not make it off the field. Then seeing the ambulance leave. I don't know if I can watch another game this year, so I don't know how those guys can take the field to play again this year. That was devastating to witness.

Was at the game. Worst thing I've ever witnessed in person. It's hard to put it into words. Very somber walk out of the stadium, fans not speaking as we walked through The Banks & across the bridge to the hotels in Kentucky (last 24 hrs it was nothing but "Go Bills" & "Who Dey!" Going back and forth). Every fan in the stadium seemed to feel the game should be cancelled. Football doesn't matter very much right now. Just hope Hamlin's ok. I'm not sure how the players can go back out and play after this now or next week or again this season frankly. If Hamlin's ok that's all that matters. 🙏

If Somehow Hyde Returns, We Win The Super Bowl
Donuts and Doritos replied to Dick_Cheney's topic in The Stadium Wall
And if Von comes back. And if Crowder comes back. And if Benford comes back. And if O'Dell signs with us. And if Davis turns into a true WR2. And if Cole returns to his 2020 self. And if Tre returns to his 2020 form. And if Saffold & Brown improve. And if.... -

Week 17: Bills at Bengals on MNF
Donuts and Doritos replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's it, tape up Hyde's neck & get Von one of those roller scooters for his bum leg & get 'em back out there. No way we're loosing this gimp game. -
Chris Simms says whoever Tre is covering will be open
Donuts and Doritos replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Joe Bascaglia w/ the Athletic has been saying the same thing since Tre came back. Said the All-22 shows he's slow, has trouble staying w/ receivers and is holding a lot, but not getting called. He said it jumps out on the coaches film & predicted coaches are going to start attacking him & he's going to get burned & called more for the holding. Hope he gets back to form before Monday. 🤞 -
WR1. - Can play WR2 @ first (need to upgrade from Davis). Diggs will be 30 next year, he can eventually move to WR2 when new guy goes to WR1. Like Jefferson & Theilen. Wonder if Michael Pittman would be available in a trade & if it would be worth the compensation (maybe a 1st)? He's pretty good w/ bad QB play.

Week 17: Bills at Bengals on MNF

So, given the Bengals unis for Monday, I'd expect us to be all whites or white jersey w/ blue pants. -
That's why I said McDaniels "& his crew" (GM & owner are part of this too). Head coach puts together a staff. He's in charge of. He is the face of the organization who answers questions about these things to the media (he already had to once before). I get there's an independent neurologist (& the last one they had got fired), but there's also trainers & team Dr.s who are supposed to keep the Head Coach updated on injuries & player status. After already going through this kind of F up once, I would think any good head coach (& most are control freaks) would want his team more on top of this to fix things with the staff so it doesn't happen a second time. It's troubling this is the 2nd time they apparently weren't aware their franchise QB had a concussion & continued to play (& this time threw 3 picks the last 3 drives to end the game). But hey, maybe McDaniels figures, not my problem, I'm just the head coach & can't do anything about it, go talk to our medical staff & the independent neurologist. Hopefully for Tua's sake & the Phins, he's more on top of things than that. Either way it's a bad look.
