Simple question, who are we hiring? Never said McD was a God or even good (in fact not sticking up for him at all). Just curious who folks are thinking about replacing him w/. A lot of people threw out what sound like some really good options (Det or Hou OCs or Cinci DC). But I get it, your more in the just get somebody, anybody not named McD camp. 👍

Random talking head says something about the Bills
Donuts and Doritos replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
3 catches last night, 6 the week before. 3 of last 4 weeks he's had less balls than earlier in the season. Hasn't had 100 yard game since Giants. I'm hoping he's fine w/ everything. I'm just wary of what his inner circle is saying & that he may want out w/ all the offensive issues. -
Short week, so not much. More interested if han he right the ship for the long-term. I'd bench Davis & move Shakir there. Run the offense through Digs, Kincaid, Shakir & Cook. But we'll see what changes he makes.

Random talking head says something about the Bills
Donuts and Doritos replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
With respect, it's not a "random talking head" it's Digg's brother. Given how close Diggs is to his brother, what he says does give some insight into conversations people in the inner circle are having w/ Diggs behind the scenes. Certainly seems relevant to fans and a discussion forum like this. But I apologize, I didn't realize this had previously been posted & discussed since it had been merged and that there was a Rule against posting such things. I'll be more careful in the future. I appreciate how hard it is to moderate these forums and the diversity of ideas that are permitted to appear on them. Thanks for all of your hard work. Love the TBD site. 👍 -

Digg's brother already tweeting he should get out of Buffalo (see below). Probably others in his ear about it. With Allen & the O's problems combined with not getting the ball & the losses, might see Diggs wanting out by the end of the season. https://x.com/TrevonDiggs/status/1724285469855260693?s=20 -
I thought the getting hot was going to start last night, instead: I don't see it. Would love to be wrong, but they've given me nothing to believe they can do it.

You should have seen the Giants on Sunday. Yowza! Setting football back to the stone age. -
Should Dorsey come down to the sidelines?
Donuts and Doritos replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall
So we'll see shots of Dorsey chucking iPads & screaming while Josh stares into space. Like Bill O'Brien & Mac Jones: (All kidding aside, I get your point. How could it get worse, unless we see McD strangling Dorsey on the sideline) -

The Ken Dorsey Over/Under HC Interviews Poll
Donuts and Doritos replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
We should sing his praises right out of town. -
Well drafting is Beane's department not McD. I agree the O has been neglected in drafts & a 1st round WR is a need. There wasn't one available this last draft, but Kincaid does look like he's going to be a really good weapon. I also agree too much has been devoted to D over O, I put that on Bean & McD & their philosophy. The significant injuries on D gets them more of a pass than the O, which has no excuse IMO. I don't think Dorsey can get it done at OC. McD will bear responsibility on the decision to retain or fire Ken. While McD's seat may get hotter after this year, he's going to be around for a while. I'm willing to see how this year turns out & what adjustments are made. I agree that it's beginning to look like he's Schotenheimer w/ Philip Rivers Chargers. But again, I think the discussion should start w/ who you want to get to replace him, so we can see if it's an upgrade. Hopefully they figure it out soon & turn the season around.

Aside from the opening drive Bengals were in plus territory for the other 2 TDs & D held after Josh's interception. D gave the O plenty of chances, the fumble was a killer. The O kept putting a really banged up D out on the field & asked them to bail them out. This game was on the healthy anemic O. The same O that only managed 10 pts in the playoffs loss. The O is the issue. My point on McD is, he is a good coach, easy to say fire him, but then what? Who is taking over? Saying anyone is better isn't a plan. Need to start with here's who we should have as HC and here is why they would be better. But that's not what is being proposed, instead it's fire McD w/ no thought about who you get next. Joe ***** The Ragman is better in some people's minds than McD & that's not a very good plan.

Behind every great coach is a great QB, ask Bill Belichick right now. He made the playoffs w/ Tyrod at QB. Let that sink in for a second. He had the balls to do the right thing for his players & tell the NFL they weren't playing after Hamlin went down. That could have cost him his job but he put it on the line for the players & team & those guys love him for that. IMO one of the best coaching/leadership moments in the history of the NFL. He's missing 1/2 his D at this point & still held the Bengals to 3 pts in the second half. That was him & his scheme frustrating the Bengals. Finally, you have to have a plan, firing the coach is only 1/3 of it, then what? Simply moving on from a coach for the sake of moving on from them won't work, you have to be moving to a coach. Easy to fire a coach but if it's not to hire a particular coach you really really want then you'll put in any Tom, Dick or Harry & then the team will be screwed by a Harry, Dick, Tom. 😳 Uhh... You get what I mean. Plus Terry knows you'd have to change your name on here to HarryBean or DickBean or something & that just doesn't have the same ring as McBean.

They got Rasul Douglas to fix this. Move on to the real problem the O.
-
Injured D held them to 3 pts in 2nd half. The healthy turtling O is the issue. Focus on that.

Punter is the least of our issues.

We are now the worst defense in the league
Donuts and Doritos replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Held Bengals to 3 pts in 2nd half & the offense put them in bad spots in the 1st half. The healthy anemic O is the issue. -
Poll: Top reason for the Offense's underperformance
Donuts and Doritos replied to Fan in Chicago's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's more than 1 thing. Dorsey isn't great play calling/adjusting & is too friendly w/ Allen to reign him in. Allen is a gunslinger Not a system guy, so you can't reign him into a system, which makes the offense more backyard than planned. & We don't have a #2 WR who consistently shows up. -
Officially out of the playoffs as of now

They're not making it, not w/ this play & that upcoming schedule.
