I think the Bills and Bengals being on the same page on how to handle all of this gives them a lot of leverage over the NFL. I don’t think the NFL is in position to give out any backlash. They are really on their heels here with a lot of reputation to protect. Add in that ESPN basically called them out as liars as well, I think they will be more accommodating than anything at this point.

One aspect that hasn't been brought up that much is how impactful the whole situation has been on the Bengals players as well. They were just talking about that on NFLN where they said the Bengals didn't practice at all until yesterday. The one reporter said she asked Joe Mixon earlier in the week if he would be ready to take the field on Sunday and he straight up said no. The recovery news has to be uplifting to them too, especially considering they have to go right back on the same field this weekend.

I’ve been following all of this except for the few past pages so I apologize if this has already been stated: it’s such a positive bit of info that he asked who won the game. That means that he understood he was playing a football game leading up to the injury. So many people get knocked out from a lot less serious injuries and don’t even remember that day or several days leading up to it. The fact that he realized he was in a football game up to the point of going unconscious is such a positive sign for his brain being in good shape and in position for a good recovery.

I had NFL Network on my office TV in the background while I was working when that came on. After a minute or so into his press conference I paused working and turned up the volume. He said all the right things, handled the conference and the situation on the field perfectly. That's the kind of guy you can get behind and someone I'll be rooting for when it doesn't involve the Bills.
