  1. Thats why carpenters use measuring tape instead of eye-sight for computing distance. Apart from your gall in disputing math, the distance between 9.58 and 10.00 is greater than the distance between Hills time and Noah’s time (which is incredible by itself). That extra 2.0 x 10^-2 results in greater distance. If you look at your video, you can clearly see the 5 meter and 7 meter marks. Once again, not 10 meters - and this is with even greater time difference. Saying ”I was wrong” is a lost skill by far too many. Truly. It is sad. Pontificating height and stride length when there is pure math that tells the exact story.
  2. Those numbers are the full race. Not a portion of it extrapolated.
  3. The 40 yard dash is a different story. In that, Lyles would only beat hill by a little over a yard. It would be extremely close and look (to the viewer) like a photo finish.
  4. It wouldn't be anywhere close to 10m with those numbers. 10.19 seconds - 9.79 seconds = difference of 0.4 seconds Noah: 100 meters/10.19 seconds = 9.92 meters per second 9.82 meters per second x 0.4 seconds = 3.9 meters Our best guess would be Noah beating Hill by 3.9 meters. Which is 60.7% less than 10 meters.
  5. That’s a prediction for the future. Not a description of the now. In no universe is Hall better than CMC until proven so. That stands for Chubb too. It may even stand for Bijan Robinson.
  6. Breece Hall better than McCaffrey? Surely you jest!?
  7. I’m not so sure. I don’t think the coaching staff liked what they saw from our #2 and #3 QB’s. I wish we traded for Zach Wilson.
  8. Corner play is often affected by S play. I have often felt that our corners play above their natural ability because of elite S play. I’m curious how they do without it.
  9. QB - Same RB - Same WR - Objectively worse with the loss of our top 2 WR’s TE - Same O Line - I fear that the loss of Morse which affects the left side of our line will loom large but i’m willing to same “Same” for now with 4/5 players returning. D Line - Same, as I feel Miller will be better, offsetting the loss of Floyd Linebackers - Improved with Milano back Cornerbacks - Question mark. I’m really curious to see what happens here. Safeties - Worse in leadership, improved in age and perhaps improved in athleticism (due to the improvement in age)
  10. This is my concern. Yeah, I get it, the game doesn't count. Score doesn't matter. But seeing our depth get completely outplayed in every facet is never what you are hoping to see. And it is a stark contrast to what we have seen from McBeane in prior years.
  11. Its early but Im liking this honey boo boo more than Trubisky already. He doesn’t look like he is going to defecate his britches at any moment like Mitch. Ot course, he hasn’t thrown a single pass yet either.
  12. The o-line in general looks scary bad.
  13. I really don’t like watching Trubisky play. Really shocked we signed him again.
  14. Tasker is worse than usual today.
  15. Hearing that first train horn of the year!
  16. It would absolutely work in Buffalo. Anyone who goes to Sabres games can attest to the options of fun things to do within a mile of the arena. Unfortunately, the Bills don't play in Buffalo - they play in Orchard Park. And you're right that it would not work in OP. Which is why many people wanted the stadium in Buffalo.
  17. I miss this NFL. Very little personality anymore.
  18. With Daboll, there were many “easy” plays for Josh to make. With Dorsey, it felt like everything was a slog.
  19. If used in a stadium context, they would likely be stationed right after you walk through the metal detector. Eye level detection would be hard to avoid with such a confined space.
  20. Unfortunately not. Advanced systems now use periocular recognition, which identifies people by their eyes. It was (in part) developed due to covid and needing to identify people wearing large face masks. Once they grab your eye, it is passed through multiple layers of pooling and activation functions that essentially develop a feature map. This map is then divided into local and global branches, where the local branches focus on specific areas within the periocular region (iris), while the global branch considers the entire periocular area (lashes, lid). The vector of the query image is then compared to a database of known feature vectors using similarity metrics. The system then calculates the similarity scores and spits out the best match.
  21. And the Vikings down sees over 50” per year. Not to mention Syracuse.
  22. I forgot about that. Half our defense + Davis. We really did field our B team against KC that day. And still could have won.
  23. Full power? The kick was not only way left but it was also short.
  24. Well said. To add to it, not all kicks are equal. A 34 yard kick in a blow-out does not matter to the same extent as a game-winning attempt. To that point: In the last 2 minutes of a half, Bass was only 70% last season. And he was 78% the year before. And 71% in his rookie season. With this in mind, how much should we caee that he is nearly 90% when the kick isn’t as important (not the final 2 minutes)? The truth is that he has never been a consistent clutch kicker. Ever. And for his career, he misses 1 of every 4 kicks he attempts when we are trailing.
