Have any of you been in this situation before??(vague title)
Einstein replied to BillsBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall
1) You seem to have missed the entire last paragraph of my post. "I'm not saying you force the kid to sit in front of the TV every Sunday and watch, but if they ask you if they should switch teams, the answer in my opinion is “You don’t give up just because the road is tough”. What he/she does with that answer is up to them. But you shouldn’t advise them to give up, or give them an answer that condones the potential of changing teams just because things are difficult right now." 2) Being a jerk to your kid and verbally abusing him/her while he plays a sport has literally NOTHING to do with what we are talking about in this post. I'm not sure where you even drew the comparison. -

Seconded. -
I disagree here. The Bills were the far more "lucky" team on Sunday. We fumbled TWICE and neither went into the hands of a Chiefs player. Josh only had 1 bad pass all game, but it was darn close to being picked off. And then there is the whole fumbling through the endzone for a safety play. Bills got lucky a lot in that game. More than the Chiefs IMO. And i'm glad - we deserve some luck.

Thanks to your Dad for his service. If you think that what I wrote is anti-family or anti-fatherhood in any way, well, then you read it wrong. It is in fact the opposite. A commitment to family and being a great father includes instilling good ethics in you children, including loyalty. Mutually inclusive. As I wrote (and perhaps you didn't fully read): "I'm not saying you force the kid to sit in front of the TV every Sunday and watch, but if they ask you if they should switch teams, the answer in my opinion is “You don’t give up just because the road is tough”. What he/she does with that answer is up to them. I really don't think the league cares about Taylor as much as people think they do. Sure, they probably want to maximize her exposure to get more fans, but I don't think the league office is pulling levers behind the scenes to get the Chiefs to the SB. They saw how much resentment that repeated winners cause with the Patriots, and I actually think they did their best to minimize the Chiefs chances this year (Chiefs were scheduled with the lowest amount of rest days all season).

Only the trolls. They point to the line of scrimmage pass stats, ignoring the deep shots that were dropped.

Sorry but this new age horse manure doesn’t appeal to me. Do they get to stop going to school because they don’t want to? Why force them, right? They may end up resenting you! I know a sports team is not the same seriousness level as not going to school, but the foundational and core principles are the same. You make a commitment, you stick to it. Loyalty and other morals are taught - they’re not naturally ingrained. Im not saying you force the kid to sit in front of the TV every Sunday and watch, but if they ask you if they should switch teams the answer IMO is “You don’t give up just because the road is tough”. What he/she does with that answer is up to them. Titans to hire Bengals OC Brian Callahan as new HC
Einstein replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
How’s he going to break the Bills contract? And as for the hire? Pfft. The Head Coach calls most of the plays. What an odd hire. -

For those who want a summary of what he is asking; I'd like to hear your thoughts on a fatherhood moment. I have five boys, and my oldest, who's 13, asked if he can stop being a Bills fan. I encouraged them to be Bills fans since I'm from Buffalo, but he finds it upsetting now. He told his grandma to ask me because he knew it would hurt me. I'm not giving up on the team, but I need advice on talking to my boys about the season and being Bills fans. I believe in the team, and some changes are needed, like drafting new talent and maybe a new coach. One championship before I die, please. My answer: I disagree with all the posters telling you to encourage him to root for whoever he wants. That’s lame sauce. Sometimes crap doesn’t work out. Sometimes in life we lose. But we don’t give up and we don’t stop being a fan just because things didn’t work out the way we wanted. We stick through it and keep our commitments to our team. Then give him a hearty GO BILLS. -
If Beane does this, someone in the front office needs to slap him. Whether its age or something else, Diggs is slowing down. Clearly. Noticeably. Restructuring $12M from the 2024 season would make his cap hits over $30 Million the next two years. He would be uncuttable. Untradeable. Un-anythingable.

Bass was for 2-2 (100%) in under 40 degree weather in the regular season. He was 7-8 (87.5) in under 40 degree weather last season. What really jumps out though is his wild card/divisional playoff stats. He is 3/6 (50%) in the divisional round for his career and 5/7 (71%) in the wild card round.

No it's not. Worse case scenario is Cook fumbles the ball the next play (after Diggs gets the first down) and we lose. Or a ball gets tipped an KC intercepts it. Or what if we get a holding penalty and are pushed back and its 1st and Goal from the 20? Endzone throw was the right call.

- Mitch Morse said he wants to be back with the Bills next year and expects to be. - Dawson Knox, speaking about Allen, said: "I pray I get to play the rest of my career with him and I think everyone in that room would say the same thing... he's a modern gladiator." - Dion Dawkins, speaking about Allen, said: "That performance the kid put on yesterday was insane. It was crazy... he makes it easy for all of us to play ball." - Gabe said he is testing free agency but wouldn't mind coming back to Buffalo. - Leonard Floyd said he will go where the money takes him, but would prefer to be back in Buffalo. - Jordan Phillips says he might retire. - All offensive players, included Allen, shouted support for Joe Brady. - Hyde says he needs time to decide what his next steps will be. - Rousseau gave his vote for McD as D Coordinator, mentioning that he learned a lot under McD. - Gabe and Bernard both said they were planning on playing in the AFCCG. .

Random talking head says something about the Bills
Einstein replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Can someone explain to this troll how Mahomes was facing a depleted injury riddled Bills defense and Allen was facing a top 5 Chiefs defense, and Allen still outplayed Mahomes but only had less yards because of drops. I'm too tired. -

This is due to drops. If Sherfield caught 1 of his 2 drops, and Diggs caught his long drop, Allen's yards per pass goes from 4.8 to 7.3. -
Been yelling this from the rooftops since it happened. Allen made the right decision. Thanks for posting this video.
