The MVP race is pretty much over though. All the YouTube and ESPN channels can talk about it for views as much as they want. Even after Lamar’s game yesterday Vegas still has Allen as a -250 favorite and Allen hasn’t played yet this week. As long as he doesn’t do anything stupid those odds will go back up. Right now his implied odds are that Allen has over a 71% chance of winning it. Lamar is only at 35%. If Josh plays well then those odds go back up to -400 or -500 then he will be at an over 80% chance to win the award. So it really isn’t as close as the talking heads are making it out to be. That is if you know anything about how odds work. Only way Allen would lose it is if he goes out and has a couple of turnovers and plays like he did last week agains the Pats. Other than that it is Allen’s to lose.

Here is an article from just last week. Interesting on this exact topic. https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-executives-vote-on-2024-nfl-season-awards NFL GMs, other executives vote on 2024 season awards: Who wins MVP? Offensive Rookie of the Year? My annual early awards survey was completed this week by high-ranking executives from 27 NFL teams, including 17 general managers. All 27 individuals participated on the condition of anonymity for competitive reasons and to provide an honest assessment. Who are the big winners in seven notable categories? Here's a rundown, with help from statistics compiled by NFL Media researcher Zak Koeppel. Most Valuable Player Josh Allen Buffalo Bills · QB Allen was the runaway winner, receiving a whopping 22 of 27 votes. Remember all the offseason talk about whether Allen and the Bills offense would struggle to replace Stefon Diggs, who was traded to Houston in April? Instead, Buffalo is averaging more points (31.8 per game) and yards per play (6.2) with a better red-zone TD percentage (68.9%) and fewer giveaways (0.5 per game) than a year ago, and Allen has accounted for 37 total touchdowns (tied with Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow for the NFL lead). His last three games have been virtually unprecedented: 14 total touchdowns, no turnovers and no sacks taken. With five more passing touchdowns, Allen would join Cam Newton as the only players in NFL history to throw at least 30 TDs and run for at least 10 in the same season; Newton was the nearly unanimous NFL MVP in 2015. And the Bills are 11-3 after Sunday’s shootout win at Detroit. Jackson and Eagles running back Saquon Barkley each received two votes. Burrowreceived one.

If you look at advanced stats Allen is number 1 Qb in the NFL with the highest EPA which is a far more accurate stat than just total yards and all of those numbers. Lamar is number 2 though.

well even if so the offense is still opened up because of Amari or Coleman. If both of those guys ever end up out at the same time the offense will get bogged down some again because the defense won’t have any one to respect deep..

They said on the broadcast today that Lamar throws to the most open receivers in the league. So that’s why it’s easier for him to complete passes because he doesn’t have to make nearly as hard or tough as throws as Allen or Mahomes makes.

This is how it will work so nobody is confused. The starters will play this week and only be taken out if it’s a blowout at the end of the third quarter. Then get next week off against the Pats. Never ever do NFL teams have guys rest the week before the last game then have them play the last game before the playoffs. They always wait until the last week. Unless you are in KC’s spot and can rest them for 2 weeks with no consequences. Most teams that rest starters for 2 weeks though lose in the playoffs so wouldn’t recommend it to any team. If the Chiefs want to do that they can be my guest and watch them get knocked off early.

I’ve said all year the Steelers weren’t as good as their record. They have been beat by double digits 3 straight weeks. This isn’t because KC has magically become a lot better. It’s because Pittsburgh isn’t that good. KC isn’t any better than they were a couple weeks ago. I wouldn’t worry about playing Baltimore either in Buffalo. Bills weren’t playing with any urgency the first time we played them as the Bills were 3-0 and Baltimore was 1-2 and trying not to fall to 1-3 playing at home. Ravens needed that game badly. Bills didn’t. Plus Bills didn’t have Amari then and Coleman was still playing like a rookie. They didn’t have to cover anybody. It will be a lot different story if they come to Buffalo. Some of you are hilarious lol… This Bills team already beat KC and went into Detroit and beat Detroit. Oh ye of little faith. 😂

If it wasn’t for Amari most of these other guys wouldn’t be getting open. He is the reason others get open easier so the offense can move and give Josh more options and easier options. Just because he hasn’t been getting as many targets doesn’t mean anything.

I think they would play the starters the first half against the Jets then sit them 2nd half and sit them against Pats last game if Chiefs win on Wednesday. You don’t want to sit them for 2 whole games. Teams have done that before and it’s backfired more times then not because the team comes out rusty and they lose. So the smart thing to do is let them play at least the first half against the Jets. Pittsburgh will definitely be playing hard to try to win their division though on Wednesday as they still have the tie breaker over Baltimore and it sounds like Pickens will be back for them at receiver. Also: If Cincinnati beats Denver this week in Cincy, you would have a scenario where the Broncos need to beat KC to get into the playoffs, playing in Denver and KC still trying to get the 1 seed, so will be interesting to see how Wednesday goes.

They are just manifesting it and speaking it into existence. Nothing to worry about.

My first post here. Became a Bills fan back in 2018 when Josh got drafted since I was born and raised in Wyoming and a huge Wyoming fan for college sports. Now a huge Bills fan for the last 7 years. Have watched every play. Anyways I haven’t seen this posted anywhere. If it is please forgive me. Everyone probably knows the Bills scored 30 or more points for the 8th time in a row tying like 5 other teams to do it I believe. So if the Bills score 30 or more this week they become the first offense ever to hit 9 in a row. If the Bills can score 30 or more in the last 3 games they will be the first team ever to score 30 or more in 14 games in an NFL season. Right now the 2013 Broncos have the record at 13. Based on how the offense is rolling and the competition left on the schedule I don’t see how they don’t break both of these records unless of course they decide to sit the starters the last game of the year. You all think they will break both of these? Also one other thing I have noticed is a lot of people think the Eagles are the best team in football now but if the Bills played them I don’t see the Eagles defense slowing this offense down at all. They are supposed to have the best defense but I have seen many better defense than the Eagles have in years past. They aren’t the 85 Bears, 2000 Ravens or the Legion of Boom Seahawks from 2013. Which is the type of defense you need to slow this offense down in my opinion, nobody has this type of defense in the NFL this year. I just don’t see anyone slowing this offense down now. People will have to outscore the Bills in my opinion. I don’t think the Eagles are a team that has the type of offense to keep up with the Bills either. Even though the Bills defense hasn’t been great the last couple of weeks they have missed some people with injuries and I don’t see the Bills defense having as much trouble against an Eagles team as they would against someone like maybe Baltimore when they are on in the AFC and that is it for an AFC team. NFC the only team I could see is the Lions. What do you guys think? I think the Bills offense has gotten even better since they last played KC and KC has trouble scoring so they don’t scare me at all. Just my thoughts.
