  1. Ford hasnt proved anything yet, and technically might not even be a starter. Knox is inconsistent but flashes, if he can put it together he'll be an asset. Wallace is definitely the least talented I'll say that but he is a solid professional.
  2. it would be nice if our defense was more aggressive but thats not how its designed, and especially with our lack of lockdown/man corners we don't have the luxury of leaving guys on islands.
  3. He's 6'1"-6'2" 225 so no I don't think he's too small he could easily add 10-20lbs. if a team asked him to play more of a traditional mike/stacked role but thats not why you draft a guy like this. You draft a guy like this because the NFL is a passing league and you need a guy who has range and wont be a liability in coverage, some of the best middle lb's in the league are right around his size give or take an inch and give or take 10-20lbs, so he's right there size wise. Lavonte David, Bobby Wagner, KJ Wright, Darius Leonard, Deion Jones, etc. all very close in size.
  4. yea i think you are right on the money here, think they would love to get a guy like JOK which could spell the end for Edmunds if his play doesn't start to match his salary at the least.
  5. Flag machine, thats exactly what I was thinking about Stokes, relies on his hands too much to make up for out of position feet, I'm a big campbell fan id almost say he is a poor man's greg newsome just doesnt have the same dog in him and lesser ball skills.
  6. lol no I don't I also doubt that's how they would do the trade since our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd are worth 1040, no point in throwing the 2 5ths, 6th, and 7th. But it doesn't matter since I wasn't really serious about the trade or that it was even possible in the first place. Of course that all goes back to the point of the thread, if your roster/team is solid you theoretically don't need so many draft picks, so do you want to combine a bunch from this year and next year to make sure you get that player you know is gonna be a stud?
  7. Interesting takes, I think he is a little off on where some guys will go but only time will tell. I like Dickerson and Davis but I think I'd rather have Creed who still has a high floor but has more potential and versatility than Dickerson. I agree about liking Shaka Toney better than No-oh-Oweh-Jose!(all together now). And I like taking a swing at Dayo Odeyingbo(oh-Dang-Bo) later, he'll fall because of the injury but is prototype from a size/length perspective
  8. Who do you like better Campbell or Stokes? and what do you think about taking a Robert Rochell later too I just feel like someone is gonna get lost in all these safeties and corners and if we are paying attention we can grab em in the 5th(whoever gets lost), maybe a CB/S type guy, I like the duo Richie Grant/James Wiggins both very athletic, Wiggins has some injury concerns but that could make him fall tho.
  9. Yea I'm with you, he must have taught Creed Humphrey the same trick playing for the Raiders and Steelers
  10. The Bills ask their safeties and corners to do a lot in run support too. They do rely on versatile DL too, guys that can do both and have good instincts to follow the ball with all the rpos and jet sweeps and just general play action they have to diagnose and attack quickly and effectively. I think they wait until the end of the season on both as far as contracts go, I think they both re-sign, just not sure how Beane has to play it as far as the option is concerned, does he decline it so its not a fully guaranteed contract, or does he take it and then just setup his contract going forward accordingly. I also think there is a possibility for a draft day Ertz trade, could be done in a 1000 different ways if they can just agree on compensation.
  11. I like Collins thought he might be in play later(3/4), surprised to hear he won't make it out of the 2nd, think with some good coaching if he has the work ethic could be a nice piece. I thought the same about Moses, that his injury history and the subsequent effect on his athleticism has really taken him out of the convo which just sucks really, part of the game tho for sure. Bolton is interesting to me, he could be an elite ilb with his physicality and intelligence/instincts, he does not have the athleticism or range right now that you would expect for someone so effective in coverage, specifically zone. I think with some coaching and a pro style conditioning program with an emphasis on his overall athleticism instead of just weight he could develop into one of those pieces that can wreck an offense's gameplan. Barmore I'm just not sure about. Thanks Orange
  12. Thanks Orange, if you don't mind and have the time, I'd be interested in seeing Nico Collins, Jevon Holland, Dylan Moses, Barmore and Bolton LOL sorry for being greedy. to narrow it down my top2 to see would be collins and barmore.
  13. i know and i agreed with you, i said there are no DE/Edge guys that would be considered top 10-15(like those guys in SF/WAS), i said the closest thing to that in this draft for me is Paye, that is not saying Paye is the guy just that he is the best of the group and I don't have him being worth a pick until well after 15 I totally agree; Parsons, JOK, Collins, Davis are some of my favorite prospects in this draft, and its always nice to have super athletic lbs
  14. yea i know I was just messing about, I like the idea of fleecing a team that wants to get back into the first and i wanted their 3rd rounders
  15. I havent been given any specific examples, I believe because some are questioning his work ethich/motivation/attitude that off the field issues are also in the back of minds when hearing those types of things. I think he is a good prospect, but the zoom calls, interviews with friends/coaches/teammates would be important info for me to look over talk about, but I'm confident this staff wouldn't miss anything major and they would have a good sense if he loves the game and has motivation to play besides just that first big free agent contract
  16. He can play 1t or 3t, he has good instincts, uses his hands well, uses his feet and hands together well to maintain balanace and leverage advantage- naturally powerful- gets a good push, plays run well but shows excellent ability in pass rush. Most people are knocking his inconsistency, he shows up when he wants kinda thing which is a huge red flag for most. Also not that much experience, a lot of people that watch Bama say he is the next Dareus, ie will only show once in a while and maybe just enough to get one big contract then done. But the talent is there, obviously I wasnt allowed to interview him or those around him, his coaches/teammates etc so I'll trust Beane and Co. if they do go with him.
  17. Barmore would be the only plausible option and that's only if they zoomed him and did their homework that he won't be a problem as far as work ethic and off the field stuff.
  18. I second Gunner's response, between no and meh. Unless the Bills find out he was used completely wrong or was told specifically not to tackle the QB in college then I'd guess they pass too.
  19. I said if he means the long term thing-(makes a developmental guy possible, or a guy that doesn't need to start full time right from the jump), and he meant what he said about getting someone who can step in for a guy whose contract is up soon/older guys that are gonna need to be replaced and better to replace them with rookie contracts, "they hope someone they like at DE is there at 30" and saying there are no top DE's doesn't mean there aren't any, just not any clear cut top 10-15 pick guys with the only one seemingly close is Paye. I dont like any of them enough to take at 30 except Paye, maybe Rousseau but I'm nervous about Phillips I'd need more info, the kind of info the Bills would have so I'll leave that to them lol Id rather go CB or trade back, but I'd have to pause if a Zaven Collins, Micah Parsons, Jamin Davis, JOK guys are around
  20. mel and todd gave us Zaven Collins in their sportscenter special
  21. If he means the long term thing, could mean more likely to trade back or to get a developmental guy that would replace one of our costlier players when their contract expires in the next year or two, Hughes, Addison, Star, Morse, and Hyde and Poyer are both getting older and will have cap hits in 7-10mil range over the next couple years. If you look at that list you hope a guy you like at DE is there at 30, then you have to do some magic.
  22. I was gonna start a thread because my idea is so crazy I'll tuck it in here. Trade with the LV Raiders, we give up 30, 3rd in 2022, 161, and maybe another late rounder or two like a 6th and 7th, but I'm going on the idea that the Raiders want back into the late 1st so they are willing to lose 50 or so points on the trade value chart. We get 48,79,80, 121 so we get another 2nd, two 3rds and a 4th so now we have 2nd) 48- Tyson Campbell 2nd) 61- Creed Humphrey 3rd) 79- Alim McNeil 3rd) 80- Roche/Perkins 3rd) 93- Brevin Jordan 4th) 121- BPA WR 5th) 174- CB/S etc.
  23. I definitely agree with you about the tackles, by the 4th anyone who can turn into anything will be long gone. There are about an avg of 6 corners taken in the 1st round in the last 10 years of drafts, so I'd say we are about par for the course this year, I just think after the top 6 there is still some quality to be had, probably no HOF'ers but you can get a good developmental guy, a zone guy, a slot guy in rounds 3-6. WR is real deep, have you taken a look at Tutu? probably a round 1-2 guy, or a Tylan Williams, Jaelon Darden guys I think will be around in rounds 3 and 4, other names I'm hearing or guys that could be sleepers late; Fehoko, Collins, Baker, Watkins.
  24. Or Lance, I just think Shanahan seeing them all be able to execute play action, that Fields and Lances' running ability would tip the scale in their favor, though Mac may be able to process/get thru progressions much faster thus tipping back to him
  25. They have Taylor, Mack, and Hines at RB that is a really nice RB room, their OLine is solid, Hilton, Pascal and Pittman isnt amazing but is not terrible either, they have decent TE's, on defense they have a solid front 7 anchored by Buckner and Leonard, and they are very young with Hilton, Carrie, Doyle and Rhodes the oldest of the bunch I believe and everyone else is basically in the 5th year of their career or less. Ok so ridiculous was admittedly over stated, but they are definitely solid and well positioned, especially with Tackle, CB, WR being deeper positions in this years draft.
