  1. So we thinking we want Houston after that performance they just put on? Or the Chefs? I say bring on the rookie QB, so go Dolphins.
  2. I watched the Sabres game instead. This one didn’t look that much more entertaining.
  3. I think JJ Watt may have taken one too many hits to the head.
  4. This helps the Bills immensely. One more day for Douglas to rest up. The passing game should be better on Monday. It’s a federal holiday, a lot of people who work have off (I know not everybody…)
  5. He might get a little bit more slack with the Pats org, and the fans might be more patient with him because he’s a fan favorite. It’s like hiring a friend at work. You might give them a little bit more leeway on performance before consider firing them vs some random person. 3rd overall pick positions them nicely to get the QB they want, or even move up to the Bears spot to guarantee it.
  6. I think it was lack of awareness. I don’t think Johnson realized it was the last play of the half. If he had a do-over he’s probably diving with the ball stretched out.
  7. How did Mac Jones and the Patriots have the lead the entire game? Was it because of Josh Allen? Or was it because the defense allowed twice the average points to a bottom-3 offense in the league? Including an incredibly unclutch 2 minute TD drill to a terrible QB that lost his job a few weeks later. Pats defense season avg: 21.5 points allowed Bills offense that day: 25 points scored Pats offense season avg: 13.9 points scored Bills defense that day: 29 points allowed So one unit won their matchup including a clutch end of game drive, and the other unit epically failed including an unclutch end of game drive given up. I will give you that the Bills offense did give the Pats a short field starting at the 45 yard line, but they still way underperformed even including that fact.
  8. But at halftime you can’t know that the Bills defense would turn into the 85 Bears. Miami had 2 great drives, and it is just as likely we need those extra points to keep up in the 2nd half. That throw scores a TD more often than not. McDermott would win every game 12-9 if he could.
  9. I actually feel like the throw is a fine decision. FGs aren’t going to win a Super Bowl. If you can make a throw that will give a 75% chance of a TD, you do it and hope your guy makes a play. Maybe if Johnson runs his route a little deeper it’s a TD. Maybe if he had a little bit more wiggle he gets in. Maybe if he realizes it’s the last play of the half he risks a fumble and stretches the ball way out.
  10. So it really comes down to if we want to face KC or the winner of HOU/CLE in the divisional (if we win…). Another wrinkle is if we want to send the toughest opponent to BAL, so we could get a home AFCCG. The toughest opponent for Baltimore is CLE in my opinion. Houston coming here would be the best outcome for us surviving another week, so I guess my first preference would be Miami wins and Houston wins. My next preference would be Cleveland goes to Baltimore, so in that scenario KC wins and Cleveland wins.
  11. I would argue Bills vs Raiders this season looked a lot like that too. Allen was a dink and dunk merchant, and crushed them with an almost perfect day. He looked like Tom Brady.
  12. I think you’re wrong. I think he’ll finish 2nd in voting, but I guess we’ll see.
  13. I think ultimately Allen will finish with a lot of 2nd place votes, and possibly finish 2nd in MVP voting. Not that it matters much.
  14. No matter what happens, I kind of expect the Bills to move on from the special teams coach and do a full search for an OC.
  15. Hope Vrabel goes to the NFC. Maybe the Washington Football Team.
  16. I’ve been banging this drum since last year. Feed Shakir and Kincaid! They get open and only seem to drop very difficult catches. If it is a good throw, they are automatic. Same can’t be said for Cook or Davis (or even Diggs recently).
  17. Shakir took out two defenders which would have allowed a big gain by Kincaid. But when Allen would have made the throw that hadn’t happened yet, so he would have no way of knowing that. If Shakir doesn’t take out the defender, he very well may have stopped Kincaid short of the sticks. It’s not like he looked at some wide open receiver and passed him up. It was a judgement call.
  18. You seem to be a certifiable player hater. I can't get over the fact that anybody would think Allen threw the game away and won off of pure luck. - 101.6 passer rating, which is pretty good and includes the turnovers - 2 TDs could have easily been 3 TDs if Cook doesn't drop an easy TD or Ben Johnson doesn't get stuffed at the 1 - 79% completion percentage is great - The Bills running backs average 2.9 yards per carry which is atrocious! Allen had zero support and had to do it all himself. In comparison, the Dolphins RBs average 5.3, which was much better (and I bet it was even higher on their TD drives which were driven by the running game). - Despite having zero running game and poor pass blocking up the middle the Bills had 26 first downs and *doubled* Miami's time of possession. You don't think that might have contributed to winning the game? Who do you think was responsible for all of those first downs? Swap QBs between the teams and tell me with a straight face that Tua would have won this game with no running game, pressure up the middle all game, and players dropping wide open TDs. It defies reason.
  19. Mayo Clinic isn’t in a contract year
  20. Chris Jones is going to feast when he comes to Orchard Park in 2 weeks. Game plan should be to just move the pocket any time we face an elite DT.
  21. The fumble wasn’t bizarre. Torrence got beaten so bad by Wilkins, he didn’t even slow him down. It was embarrassing. Allen stepped up in the pocket away from the pressure (which is probably the right play) and Wilkins made a great play to strip and recover. Maybe he should have just eaten the sack, but he had to make that decision in 500 milliseconds, so it is understandable his instinct would be to step up. How about our IOL slows down the other team’s DTs for 1 second so Allen can at least scramble away from the pressure?
  22. You want Allen to throw it away at the end of the half instead of hitting the guy in stride running full speed 3 yards from the end zone? Gotta give your guy a chance to punch it in and make a play. That’s a winning play by Allen, just didn’t work out.
  23. I hope Gabe Davis puts up a huge playoff and secures the bag from another team. I don’t expect it though, and if I’m Allen I’m not looking his way unless it’s one of those scramble drill plays where he’s wide open.
  24. How is Rudolph’s arm strength? Pickett’s doesn’t seem amazing from my viewing.
