No, he'll fire Brady then. Anything to absolve himself of responsibility.
-
Utterly no point in sacking Dorsey unless McDermott follows him.
-
Considering the amount spent on defense, I'd hope at the very least that it can still perform even with injuries. Unfortunately time and again they miss it up at the death.
-
I think it was the case of one thing after another, and not just with Josh but across the franchise.

This team never makes a big stop

The offense suddenly appears in clutch moments. The defense disappears. -
That or he'd absolute overthink everything and it would result in the same problem. It's about getting the balance right. To be honest, he needs to return to Palmer next close season and go back to what he was doing before. But it'll be pointless without coaching changes at the Bills.

The Good, The Bad, The Ugly 12 Men on the Field Addition
UKBillFan replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
But then the TOP was unbalanced because of Cook's fumble, Davis' drop, Kincaid's drop, Murray's drop, Diggs' drop. They all led to three and outs and interceptions or punting back. Cook had another fumble which he luckily regathered. Of course, they then had Josh's inexcusable interception and the botched hand off, which were on him. But it's why I think saying yesterday was his worst game was slightly unfair as other players nor the coaching stepped up to the mark on offense either. Whilst against the Jets it felt like they did. -

Whilst I overall agree with what you say I thought Josh was worse against the Jets. There was a lot of blame to go around yesterday; the Jets game felt solely on him. -
Then the Bills need coaches who can first help Josh mentally, then exaggerate his ceiling and reduce the 'floor' plays. Josh is a problem but the coaches are doing nothing to solve it; indeed I think they're making the issue worse.
-
I do think there is something behind tension between McDermott and Dorsey behind the scenes about how the offense can play 'complimentary football'. It's time for Josh to stand up, request uptempo offense, and if the coaches don't like it then head to Pegula. McDermott shouldn't still be at OBD anyway.

Arguably yesterday was the third time this year - the Giants came was a fortunate mess of an ending. And the Bucs offense came so close to nailing a Hail Mary, though won't say that's the fourth.
-
At this stage, I'm concerned it might be something more serious and more difficult to get over than the flu. Hope it's issue changing the coaches will solve but worried it's deeper than that.

Fire McDermott - 12 On the Field INEXCUSABLE
UKBillFan replied to WEATHER DOT COM's topic in The Stadium Wall
They should have lost to the Giants as well - only avoided it due to a missed DPI. And they came so close to allowing another Hail Mary against the Bucs. Unless the offense gives them a double digit lead for the final drive, the defense cannot cope, that much is true. And we've seen that with key components available so it isn't just down to injuries. -
McDermott's defense chokes in clutch situations. Always has, seemingly always will. The offense is opposite at the moment - only turns up in clutch situations, which can be a case of too little too late.

Fire McDermott - 12 On the Field INEXCUSABLE

Josh has to take a huge the blame for Jets. Yesterday was a mess from the offense all round. If they played to just an average level we would have won both. The Pats... yeah, how they allowed them to get to 29 was a joke. -
The way I feel now beating the Jets will be a fluke. The only game left I think the Bills should win is against the Pats.

I know the feeling? From memory Davis had both hands on the ball. The Harty interception was all Josh. He did not make Cook fumble in the 1st. Kincaid's was off the hands but was more than catchable. And Murray and Diggs' drops were dimes, but that is from memory.
-
The second pick was on Josh - it was a ball out to Harty. When the QB is struggling, a team needs coaching and players to come up trumps and bring their A game. Dorsey abandoned the running game too often. Cook came close but had a killer fumble. Davis dropped. Murray dropped. Kincaid dropped. Diggs dropped. Josh is having issues but he's not being helped out by anyone around him, who are also making bad errors. How many times to we see receivers for other teams make astounding catches by reaching for the ball or when it's being contested? This lot can't even hold on to one which is straight into their hands.

Fire McDermott - 12 On the Field INEXCUSABLE
UKBillFan replied to WEATHER DOT COM's topic in The Stadium Wall
Taking Cook off the field for three offensive series when he was the most potent offensive threat isn't down to the players. Blitzing on 3 and 10 out of FG range when the Broncos had just seen the move isn't the players. Constantly slowing down the tempo on offense when uptempo is key isn't the players. Abandoning the run game when it's working isn't the players. Not being able to count to twelve after a timeout goes beyond the players. Turning up looking unfocused and unprepared each week goes beyond the players. -
Feels like he's dropped a catch every game this season. That's compared to Cook, who fumbled for the first time in 27 and was promptly benched for almost an entire quarter. When the QB is struggling, WR1 is a key component to help. The dropped catch didn't do that, and led to a bad play afterwards. He isn't the major issue, but all if the drops and fumbles on offence add up.

Or he doesn’t chew Josh out on the right way to get his head straight? Instead, he’s sent him into a tailspin.

Franchise in trouble- Josh Allen has regressed
UKBillFan replied to RoscoeParrish's topic in The Stadium Wall
118 posts - have ANY of them been not slagging off Josh? -
The 2023 Bills could beat anyone… mainly themselves.
-
Sorry, meant after week eighteen.

I’m pretty certain he trains and prepares. Do you honestly think he enjoys press conference after press conference asking why he looks rubbish? Then again, if the HC absolves himself of all responsibility why should any of the players take it on their shoulders?
