We need to pay Poyer. However we do it, we need to pay him. -

The bye seems to have mucked us up on both sides of the ball. -

What is it with us and 3rd Down? I mean, how can we not be learning? -
Wawrow hints an Internal Issues with the Bills
UKBillFan replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thought it was worth mentioning on the thread considering something was brought up and this thread has made 49 pages of empty speculation. In a way, I'd be unhappy if there wasn't a bit of tension at OBD after the manner we lost the last two games. As long as we pull together now. Sorry, won't bring that up again. -

Only reporting from what someone posted on the Game Day thread; I missed it. Though they didn't mention the synthetic turf bit on OBD - that was someone else. Sorry, mashed what was reported together. -
Wawrow hints an Internal Issues with the Bills

I think I'm right in saying that they basically claimed that medical opinion is that White is ready to play and the coaches want to start him. White doesn't feel ready, rumours being he has concerns about his knee on synthetic pitches. From what I understand, everything said by Wood and Brown is cleared by OBD, so the assumption is they are happy for them to say White needs to get out of his head and turn up for the team. -
We should be 8-1 right now. I can accept the bizarre circumstances in Miami resulting in a defeat but we gifted victories to the Jets and the Vikings through simple errors. On the face of it, being a position where we're more likely to beat ourselves than the opposition is not a bad thing but we're running out of time to sort it out.

Internal issues surrounding White, considering how Eric Wood and Chris Brown have reportedly laid into him? -
To me, despite my criticism of him, Josh is the reason our offence is the statistically the best, or one of the best, in the NFL. I think Mahomes is the only other QB currently playing who'd have a chance of getting something good out of it and, even then, I think he's behind a better O Line in Kansas. Put any other QB behind that O Line with these receivers and we'd be a hot(ter) mess right now.

That's a valid point though, in none of the last three games, did the offense need to over press or feel the need to score quickly. We were ahead in each. We just needed to protect the ball and dink and dunk. In all three interceptions, for example, Josh had dink and dunk opportunities available to him but he didn't take them. If you're down by a sizeable amount then perhaps you need to press but not when leading - not to the extent we appear to press.

Poor coaching by McDermott is becoming a theme

I appreciate what you are saying but I do think, on the offensive side, Dorsey does seem to call schemes and adapt plays which result in simple plays being available underneath. The question is why doesn't Josh see them or take them, throwing into coverage instead. Can we pinpoint that on Dorsey? When it comes to the offensive side of the game, my bigger concern from a coaching viewpoint is why teams seem to be able to adapt to our run game at the half and we struggle to make changes in return. -

Josh is a wonderful irritant. He has the physical ability to be the best Quarterback ever in my mind - the arm, the running game, the strength, it's astounding what he can do at his peak. Whilst I appreciate no one can be at their ceiling constantly, the mistakes he makes on a worrying regular occurrence are simple ones. I don't mind the first interception on Sunday as far as Josh's throw goes (the play call was odd but that's possibly on Dorsey); they can happen. The interceptions against the Packers, Jets and Vikings where he threw straight at a defensive player is baffling and concerning. Peterson said it best - Josh is still great but he needs to learn to take what the defense gives him. The annoying thing is it seemed like he had learned that lesson but is now regressing. -

Josh is wasting himself. The coaches cannot be blamed for the inexplicable decision making over the past three weeks. They are plays you wouldn’t expect a rookie to continually make, let alone someone with Josh’s ability.
