  1. When referring to YAC I’m meaning when one of our players is their to stop the run and misses the opportunity to do so, rather than general. Unless you mean you feel, due to bad coverage, they’re not in the right place to do so?
  2. So you’re saying it’s reserve players struggling to execute. Thank you for your input.
  3. As much as Leslie Frasier has been criticised for play calling on defense, I think our biggest issue is YAC - we seem to be missing a disproportionate number of tackles this year. Is it a case of reserves struggling to execute? Players on offense knowing how we tackle so being able to skip round them? Players not being coached probably to wrap up and hold? It feels like we’re putting ourselves under additional pressure due to not being able to stop the YAC, and I cannot recall us being so porous in previous years.
  4. Depends on how injuries affect us. With a fully available - functioning - unit, it’s Super Bowl or bust. With the injuries we have, I think making the AFCCG will be deemed a success, even if we lose to the Chiefs again.
  5. You have 70 posts and I think every one of them has been either bashing Josh or defending bashing Josh. There are limits.
  6. Offense: Josh, Diggs, McKenzie Defense: Klein, Oliver Special Teams: Bass
  7. I wouldn't say he was putrid last week? Particularly from midway through the second quarter onwards. And we scored 30 against Minnesota, which should, and would be enough, to win most games. Ignoring the Jets, which was awful, we put 27 on the Packers and were basically on the wind down in the second half. Before then was the Chiefs so...
  8. The Giants crumbled against the Lions and are now playing tough against the Cowboys.
  9. Criticise all you want - never say McDermott isn't passionate or doesn't care.
  10. I've been much happier with Josh's play last week and this week. The interception was more unfortunate than a ridiculous play today and he protected the ball well against the Browns. There was one other risky throw but I think that was a blown play by Cook, rather than on Josh.
  11. It's because they know the offense will give it back to the Cowboys with no harm done.
  12. I think it's about angles. With some throwing angles his elbow doesn't affect him; with others it does. I think the long throws are better for him, so we really need to make the most of the run game to bring defensive players in, allowing him to throw deep. We keep saying why don't we dink and dunk, but I think Josh finds that more painful at the moment due to the trajectory.
  13. Sure the Cowboys aren't facing the Lions? 😁 Great to kick back, relax and watch a game after a win.
  14. Have to say, Josh's best plays recently have come under clock pressure - the two minute drill last week and the end of game drive this week.
  15. The Lions haven't won back to back games at Ford Field since December 2017.
  16. What we need to do now is stay in the race. And then pray Miller's injury is not a long term concern, Hyde can play in the new year, Edmunds returns, Rousseau makes a comeback and Josh's elbow fully heals. Then we might have a chance.
  17. @BuffaloBill - we beat the Lions, not the Giants. Have to say, that's what an MVP does - turn up at the death and makes plays. Josh struggled most of the day but when we needed him...
  18. Trouble is we haven't looked decent since the first half of the Packers game. Feels like a slump rather than a one off.
  19. Let them score quick and hope the offense has got into the groove?
  20. Come on Defense, INT, pick 6, turnover... anything like that.
  21. Same happened against the Browns - we suddenly put together a beautiful drive out of nowhere.
  22. I'm not necessarily disagreeing - just trying to get into the coaches mindset.
