Anyone who subscribes to the idea of Dak as being in any way comparable to JA is either a Cowboys delusional fan or is not in any way an objective observer of QB play. JA is more versatile at combining underneath, outside the hashmarks and vertical passing with first down QB runs. Dak had a better O-line and running attack, with great receivers and won one playoff game in 4 years. JA is a acknowledged top 5 QB in football. Enough said.

Steps taken to solve last year's problems
Eastport bills replied to Arm of Harm's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Leveon of 4 years ago maybe but he looked shot last year. I disagree with the premise though. Did you see the running of Antonio Williams in the Miami game? Moss had some succes salting games away during the 7game win streak. I thought the left side of the O-line opened some holes. Cody was not too good, but Mongo and Dawkins were serviceable. Bottom line is the backs had little speed and Devin broke zero tackles. The game plan for Devin was to get him into space with bubble screens. -
Steps taken to solve last year's problems

Pretty solid analysis but you gave too much credit to our backs. Moss was serviceable as a change of pace inside runner until the injury. Singletary regressed and seemed soft and didn't hit the holes with conviction. Our offense was designed to maximize our strengths with empty sets and quick release passes to great receivers with designed QB runs by the freakish athlete that is Josh. The pass protection was solid not great. With a more explosive running game and anything from the TE position, our offense should be scary with the addition of Sanders. Plenty of high scoring Ws with better run defense and a breakout season from Edmunds in his contract year. -
Please put in. Claim for Kerryon Johnson
Eastport bills replied to Purplebulldog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Moss is made the feature back, I expect him to be better than Singletary. He's a second year guy and a hard, between the tackles runner who can break tackles. He can be the best option. -
Bad Luck With Clemson High Draft Picks

I responded to the post that called our drafting Clemson players underachievers and bad luck. Where does Williams enter into it. -
Bad Luck With Clemson High Draft Picks
Eastport bills replied to Irv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yea, we drafted Lawson from that team and he was productive enough to get a nice offer from Miami after his rookie deal. The other draft choices never played on good clubs. -

Clemson never won championships with teams that sent previous draft choices to the NFL. Etienne and Lawrence won on the biggest stage. They were proven stars. -
rumors about the enemy's plans
Eastport bills replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Unfortunately the teams outside the division don't harbor the animosity we do. -
Agree with you, solid depth O-line guy, who did great as rotation guard. To me, Beane's depth signings will allow the Bills to move down to get a stud edge rusher who slips into the low 20s if they don't go Etienne.

Ty Dunne: Motor can lift Bills to super bowl
Eastport bills replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Motor can't be trusted to add a running threat to our incredible but one dimensional pass offense. He was bitterly disappointing on the biggest stage in this team's recent history. He was timid and lost his aggression running and on perfect screen setups. He looked overwhelmed by the magnitude of this opportunity. We can't waste our window wishing and hoping he becomes a difference maker. He is not Etienne and never will be. -
Will the Bills Make a Pick at 30?
Eastport bills replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With all their picks, they should trade up if a targeted pick drops into the low 20s. Edge rusher Azeez, Collins or the top 3 dbs. The TE Freirmuth is worthwhile if all these picks are gone at 30. I have faith Beane will come away with a LB who can do multiple things or an edge who will contribute along with a tough cover db. -
Excellent argument AGAINST drafting a 1st Round RB
Eastport bills replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, if we had to redesign the offense ,getting away from our strengths,(Josh and quality receivers in 5 wide, empty formation s)in order to maximize an elusive back, who knows if it improves us. Maybe just getting more out of Moss and Breida with Hollister as H back in passing looks. -

What an impressive post. I must admit, you gave a lot of good information, with the Moss comparison. What's your trepidation with Etienne?. He, to me represents more of a big play threat. -
Excellent argument AGAINST drafting a 1st Round RB
Eastport bills replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why can't we have a feature back that defenses have to devote personnel to and can break long runs and take pressure off our pass heavy offense. If a prospect in the later rounds provides that fine, but Etienne and Harris seem like transcendent talents. Would a Kamara, Nick Chubb, or a McCaffrey be worth a 1st rd pick. I'm only saying if the elite edge rusher or Zaven Collins or one of the top 3 dbs are gone, an Etienne or Harris would be fine. -

The Great Tremaine Edmunds Debate
Eastport bills replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can’t convince you his value is what Beane and Sean thinks it is despite your analysis. They would have pulled the trigger on replacing him this offseason with his low cap impact and moved around space to put an improvement in there. His position and their proximity to the promised land demand production. I respect your insight but please don't expect any rookie to improve that position. Anything is possible but very unlikely. -
The Great Tremaine Edmunds Debate
Eastport bills replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When I see the D-line putting little pressure on quality QBs and a scheme that isolates Edmunds on underneath routes I don't take stats like that seriously. How was his performance in 19, when Phillips had 10 sacks and the Bills had a great defense. When Milano played and the D-line played good run defense, Edmunds played good enough to win 10 in a row. You want big plays that's fine, give me a mlb who can run down tailbacks and running QBs. Give me Ws. That's what you get with Tremaine. -
The Great Tremaine Edmunds Debate

You being one of the elite talent evaluators, you're confident there would be an improvement with this rookie for a team on the cusp of a championship. OK, thanks for straightening that out. Also, I would take a small position on Edmunds being retained, but what do I know. -
The Great Tremaine Edmunds Debate
Eastport bills replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If it doesn't have anything to do with Mahomes, what are you knitpicking about. They got to the AFC championship game besting the Colts and Ravens in the process. The Ravens game was won by the defense. Lamar was shut down by an underachieving D-line and speed at the 2nd level. 2019 was the year we had a top 5 defense in football with Edmunds in the middle. All of a sudden Edmunds is the problem. What a tough room. -
The Great Tremaine Edmunds Debate
Eastport bills replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OK, I understand you think Edmunds replacement will take the defense to the next level. You could scrutinize Milano's underperformance and missed games as reasons for concernas well. The truth is with Edmunds on his rookie deal and the D-line additions being less than productive, how is Edmunds, with elite speed, elite wingspan and probably playing in a scheme not putting him in the best position to succeed, being blamed for last years step backwards. As I remember, 2019 ,with Phillips and Lawson getting pressure, the defense with Edmunds was top 5. White was abused the last 2 postseason by Hopkins and Hill. Is this pro bowl corner holding the team back? Edmunds is a young kid who is on the field all the time, calling signals, with responsibilities and has as high a ceiling as any inside backer in football. He's 22 and will get rich in FA. Let's stop pointing fingers at one guy. -
The Great Tremaine Edmunds Debate
Eastport bills replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why is it important to break down this guy's shortcomings when his assets are special. His overall performance has not hurt the defense to the point that Beane and Sean wants him out. If he takes a step forward with improved D-line play, we could be looking at elite inside LB play. He was exposed by Mahomes and co., but every LB group the last 2 years could say the same. Coaching or lack there of can be blamed for these problems as well. Edmunds will have a great career no matter who its for. -
Watson and his attorney have miscalculated his defense badly. They had a chance to settle with the creepy Tony Busbee and start the rehabilitation process, but Hardin decided to play hardball. Watson is a sexual predator who would be ruined or facing jail time if he wasn't a star QB, but now will be dragged through countless embarrassing court proceedings until his jackass lawyer swallows his pride and settles for much more money than Busbee originally wanted. The tarnished rep will do irreparable harm to degenerate Watson, because advocate groups in any city he goes to will hold ownership hostage for signing him. To all the Watson groupies who compared this morally reprehensible creep to JA17, leadership is displayed on and off the field.
