Bills interested in CB Steven Nelson
Eastport bills replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Assuming Allen and Mahomes are equal, (and that's optimistic on our part) don't you see the virtue in surrounding our guy with a comparable supporting cast. Look at Tampa's model. Brady's the GOAT and they have the best receivers, defense and TEs in football. That shows how teams that want to win championships operate. It's not being satisfied that we have a great young QB that needed everything to break just right to get to play KC. The way we lost had to show Beane and Sean that we are a few key players short. -

Please don't compare NE to anything in your lifetime. They had the best talent evaluators and coaching in history. Don't count on ascending careers from our young guys when you're looking at Mahomes, Kelce, Hill and an O-line that dominated us 2 times last season. We have the core players to be a playoff team but don't delude yourself, there are glaring weaknesses that must be addressed if we want to win it all. Josh will get his deal soon and there will be less cap to play with. We have space created by Beane's maneuvers. A few key additions while our window is now will be key. -

Would you agree that the Bills as they were constituted against KC in the AFC Title game are probably not yet there. This offseason kept the gang together, and probably if Josh plays out of his bird again, might get us to the same KC matchup. Without better play from the backs, te, defensive tackle and our dbs we probably lose again. If your pointing to the rookie edge rushers and Sanders to put us over the top, good luck. The Chiefs will be improved. Can you say the same for us. This is our time. We need more. -

This is where Beane must define his vision for the Bills going forward. He resigned our FAs and preserved continuity on the O-line but he will be judged by these next acquisitions or lack there of. You nailed it with TE and Defensive tackle but Nelson would be huge. -

Vic, I wish you all the best and thanks for decades of great Bills coverage. You have been an objective Bills Fan and great for the advancement of the sport. I will continue to follow you on the NFL radio network. Much respect. -

Please sign this guy already Beane. This is why you freed up capspace with Diggs' redo. We need this guy and Ertz. -

Cole Beasley's Motives

Didn't see that Nazi reference. I'm as disappointed with his reticence as every Bills fan, but the guy is really valuable and his departure would weaken us. -

He was responding to being called by Michael Irvin as a guy who's not really committed to winning. He's been quiet otherwise. -

Absolutely agree, but to replace Cole after his inspirational and veteran ,clutch presence helped us get within a game of the SB, is the question. It looks like he's pretty dug in. -

Whatever the reason Cole is rejecting the vaccine and compliance with safety restrictions, he must realize he is becoming a distraction to the front office. Josh's comfort level with him as a security blanket will determine his status. I personally want him here and I think the team is loyal to Cole and his balls to the wall toughness. The loss of the player is more damaging than the complications his Covid health status causes.. -
Seeing that Indy playoff game scares me that necessary improvements have not been made with our late game defense in order take the next step forward. Tight ends were so open until the final drive when an exhausted Rivers self-destructed. KC and Kelce did the same beat down on us in the AFC title game. Indy ran the ball down our throats when we couldn’t tackle late in the game. The only meaningful additions are a stout run stuffing Star, but will improved LB play by Edmunds, Milano and AJ be enough to take a Kelce or the TE combo in NE away? This will be the defining question that will determine our season defensively.

As a woeful excuse for an NFL QB, Simms only credentials as a talent evaluator is being related to father Phil. Why would anyone care what he thinks. He sounds like a propped up football expert on the NBC show where I can't imagine anyone being more prone to sensational comments to be controversial. He's just a shill drawing a pay check.

Big Habs fan and have been demoralized by their ineptitude in recent years. What a great ride over the 3 series wins. Price is a God and Caulfield, Kontkiemi and Suzuki are legitimate stars. Their defense is playing physical and swarming. Gotta be loving this run.

This is a simple Poll. Will Josh Allen regress?
Eastport bills replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't expect Josh to regress but he will not take any Dcoordinators by surprise. They will make our running game show up and try to keep Josh in the pocket. If our O-line holds up and the backs play better, we will dictate terms with most defenses on the schedule. -

The greatest, most dramatic narrator of NFL films and classic, timeless matchups. One of the people that put NFL where it is as the best spectator sport in TV history. -
What do you expect from our 3rd year players?
Eastport bills replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hard to imagine Cody and Knox can be difference makers, but if Devin doesn't play even better than his rookie year, say goodbye. Oliver can really benefit from any improvement in the edge rushers with O-lines having to move protections to outside pressure. We really need a breakout season from him. Knox and Ford will be considered busts if they lose their starting spots. -
I love Cole but he has to realize that each team has reps that approve NFLPA agreements. He still gets paid and can skip the vaccine and practice and play. He wants to play hard ball then comply with the difficulties. If he wants to complain and be a distraction and risk hurting this fine team, ready to compete, don't resign and hurt your family, losing generational wealth.

Diggs played with torn oblique in playoffs?
Eastport bills replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The guy turned JAs career around and the Bills fortunes. Keep him healthy and protect Josh with a better running game and a solid O-line, and our offense will be even better. -
Hard Knox: Dawson Knox Watch
Eastport bills replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dawson is a prototypical pass catching TE. His problem is that he loses concentration in high leverage scenarios where he whiffs on blocks and drops crucial underneath throws that extend drives. This season will either be his turnaround or the end of his Bills career. I really like Knox but this offense needs more from the TE position.
