Not disagreeing with your whole post at all. Just think that some traits are not measurable. The knock about not playing powerhouse teams, yet he wasn’t surrounded with powerhouse teammates either. Part of me thinks players sometimes get ruined by teams that draft them, or how they are put into the NFL arena. Mahomes may not have fair as well without time to sit, OR maybe he would’ve lit it up off the bat. Put him on a Clevland, the 49ers or Jax and how does he do? Just the right puck at the right time with people who helped unlock those intangibles it seems. Trent Dilfer was never a world beater/champion until he was put in the right place at the right time. Perspective and timing when it comes to hitting on any player it seems really.

I can say it was one of my happiest moments as a Bills fan. When Buffalo traded the PM pick to KC, I was cheering and told my wife and son “we’re getting Josh when he comes out”. Total speculation, but having seen 17 and Coach B made WY fun to watch and relevant in bowl discussions. The kid is fun to watch no matter how high his sugar levels get! Totally hopes and dreams he would make Buffalo fun to watch again, but he has in my eyes! Just my opinion, nothing but pure luck and a ton of hope!

Agreed, Do you not think in todays football game they wouldn’t be competitive because of salary? Joe B is an example of the same type of QB. Those names are huge reasons those teams were always in the hunt.

How long was the “window” open for Elway, Young, Kelly, Marino, Moon, or P. Manning? Flip side of that conversation how did the “window” work for Farve, Rodgers, Big Ben, Eli and Brees. I realize some of those names won a couple of SBs, others never did. They were all competitive most of their careers. Trent Dilfer is still an enigma it seems.

The Rams got a SB without a ton of hits from the draft, at least not their own drafts. There are other paths.

The W-L for the past don’t reflect that, which is why they play the game. Many teams have won the offseason only to pick in the top 5 the following year.

I think this team lacks the bruiser mentality. Soft in the trenches and on D only a few really light up the ball carrier. Leadership isn’t an issue. The Cinci-cancel game and honestly the Tampa near come back game showed leadership. Mostly lack physicality IMO, like a hesitation to go in for the kill mentality.

Of course, so have the Jets. Fortunately, the Bills also improved. Let the games be played.

Because the game Davis had in post season was the throws, not toe taps, not fighting for the ball last season? Brown lighting defenders up 10 yards down field. it’s always easy to remember the bad things. The game is complimentary.

Until last season, Edmonds looked like he was at a carnival. Regularly taking a RB, TE and even a few WR rides for 6+ yard rides. A few games of splash in the pan efforts. I say all this being a TE supporter hoping he would finally live up to the wingspan and measurables. He rarely did (in my opinion). Will we miss him? Maybe, I dunno I’m willing to see what happens with the D as a whole. Curious to see how fast Chicago take him up as the whipping boy he was on this forum. I don’t think he’s an upgrade over either player they had in the position last season. Time will tell if Buffalo is better off, I agree the money was used better than signing him again to a big contract though.

Having lived in both states, one of which relies on tourism and winter sports for the major $$$ makers, Breckinridge, Blackhawk, Central City, a major hub of an airport I can assure you much of that population is not year round. The other as I stated relied on oil, gas and coal every bit as much as agriculture. Your don’t wash, don’t wash. I never said WY was going to be a metropolis, or need growth. Just said the video don’t really tell the story. Also there are reasons counties in CO want to be annexed, much like counties in OR want to be part of Idaho. Having lived in both states for almost equal times of my life, while logical sounding I don’t buy half the explanation. WY has much more harsh climate, the big industries have been hammered by Gov. regulation and the people generally don’t want progressive change (going off friends and family opinion from across the state). CO on the other hand is in the process of pimping out state lands and becoming CA East. Both have beautiful country, wildlife but aside from western slope CO, a vast difference of life style.
