  1. Yes and yes. Agreed 100%. I feel like a giant, immovable, juggernaut-type 1-tech will transform this defense. Make everyone around them better. Shelvin is my pick for value. Togiai will likely go early 2nd, so too rich. Bobby Brown would be a good late round pick up. McNeill of NC State will likely go too early as well.
  2. Gonna keep banging the drum for a 1-tech DT in rounds 3-5. Togiai, Shelvin, or in the later rounds Bobby Brown. A big space eater will create many openings for our other front 7.
  3. "I'll take 'Players we won't get' for $800 Alex". I have different ones: Scarlett Johansson or Bella Hadid? Ferrari 250 GTO or Porsche 917? Glenfiddich 1937 or Bowmore 1964?
  4. This is an excellent look. I've run through the program over a hundred times (enter Fast so it only takes a few minutes), and the top CBs and Edges are in the top two rounds. If Beane is looking for early production from those positions (and well he should!), that's where the assets should be placed. Then a TE and a C/G after. Was Bobby Brown not there in the 5th (where you took Hayes)? That's the only issue I see - no 1-tech DT.
  5. I scarcely recall him hitting the field at all this season. Nice depth, but I'd guess he would be easily replaceable.
  6. I feel like this is a joke. Jokeman, Joker avatar, near-useless QB....outrageous post.
  7. Good thinking. Any thoughts on the stadium experience?
  8. See you at the tailgate. Anyone have thoughts on how the gameday experience might change?
  9. I'm late to the party on this. I just watched LSU v. Alabama 2019, full game. Shelvin (matching up with future NFLers Leatherwood, Dickerson, D. Brown, and Jedrick Wills) was making big man plays. Commanded double teams on nearly every run play, and required a chip on all passing downs. Unless there are character or health concerns, I think he's just what we need and decent value for late 2nd.
  10. Few sprinters run well into their 30s. And they don't ever get hit.
  11. This looks like an interesting "diamond in the rough"-type guy.
  12. I suppose I'm the only person rooting for the kid. Maybe he grows up.
  13. Dude knows his stuff: https://www.news-herald.com/sports/espn-analyst-mel-kiper-says-patrick-mahomes-has-highest-ceiling-among-quarterbacks-in-2017-draft/article_601bbddb-dba0-53da-aca6-7338517320e3.html But there's this too: https://touchdownwire.usatoday.com/2020/04/21/mel-kiper-jr-s-worst-bad-calls-during-the-nfl-draft/
  14. Still, not a good signing for Beane. Hope he treats it as sunk cost and releases/restructures.
  15. Solid post. Nothing to contribute - just felt bad that nobody had commented yet.
  16. I'd like to read these if you have sources. I'm rooting for the guy, but if that's a bubble that needs to burst, so be it.
  17. Blessings to you and your family in your time of sorrow. I know there's a spot for your mother at the Big Bills Tailgate in the Next Place where my brother John and my grandad have a cold beer for her.
