Miami ALWAYS plays Buffalo hard as long as Tua stays healthy throughout. Bills winning margin where Tua plays the entire game: 10 - last night 3 - Bass FG last year 7 - Week 18 game 28 - Diggs 3 TD game 3 - Bills snow game 2 - Miami win Outside of the one blowout 2 years ago, Miami has ALWAYS been a tough opponent. There are no bad teams in your division, they are always the toughest matchups. I dont think you are giving enough credit to Miami as an NFL team, not every game is going to be a 4 possession victory. Regarding your statements that Josh is holding the ball more, or that the offense is sputtering, or that we should have both a short passing game that is effective and impactful, as well as a downfield passing game, I think there is an understanding of defenses now that needs to be acknowledged. Teams you play against gameplan against you. In 2020/2021 when Allen was at his offensive production peak as a downfield passer, teams weren't defending with a soft zone two high safety look. One on one matchups were more common, and single safety looks let Allen push the ball downfield more frequently. Unfortunately, teams have smartened up and adjusted to QBs who can extend plays and now sit in zones taking away the top of the field, forcing QBs to take rhythm throws, dump offs, or QB scrambles. With that last sentence, I think we see why yesterday looked or appeared sloppy. It's obvious that Allen is not trying to run as much as he used to. It's early in the season, he dealt with a hand injury all of last year due to his superman cape in week 1, and most likely doesn't want to face that again. When he scrambles right, he isn't running as frequently, he is looking to pass, and throwing into tight windows as opposed to picking up 4-7 yards and taking a hit. As the season moves along, and as we get into games that are really important (down late, end of season, playoffs), I have no doubt you will see Allen carry the offense more, as he has done in previous years, and as he will continue to do. Brady is trying to insulate Allen by creating an offense that let's Allen sit in a safe pocket and hit timing throws. It's worked through three weeks to the tune of 34PPG which leads the NFL. It's not as explosive, but it's still effective. I think a lot of fans need to realize that a non-explosive offense that still puts up points is OK

Bills gameplan each week: defer ball to second half get cook going early Leverage TEs early score on either first or second drive score again towards end of half double up coming out of half defense needs one turnover Adjust in 4th as needed something I don’t think people are catching, the bills have been at or above 25 points in every game with 7 minutes left in the 4th. That’s remarkable consistency through 3 games. No doubt the plan is to score 30 or more, and allow 20 or less. Bills have the talent and coaching to execute on that most weeks
-
I think they severely missed more play action tonight. Force the backers down into the box and use your TEs like they did early on

Enlighten me on how other teams are built. weve watched KC get to the Super Bowl three years in a row turning into a dink and dunk offense that’s WORSE than ours. Baltimore has two hall of Famers that collapse the defense and force the opportunity of downfield passing. I don’t think Allen can adopt that offense and stay healthy throughout, he takes too much contact philly has a similar offense to ours as well, just worse this season Detroit is a new wave offense, but they have sacrificed their defense to staff it and they won’t win a Super Bowl with that defense being so bad the only offense that maybe is a bit more downfield that has a better chance to win the Super Bowl is Green Bay, who is a huge unknown and mortgaged their future regardless
-
I’m assuming you are talking about Alexander, who they went after on the final drive. but Allen showed plenty before that going after everyone on that defense.
-
Controlled the ball, Cook also had 100 yards, it’s not gaudy, but it wins games. I’d rather win a game with a Brady esque game manager controlling tempo and play over a Joe Burrow 400 yard loss
-
That’s an unrealistic expectation. and by the way, the bills have been the highest scoring offense of the decade so far. But what you are asking is for even more on top of already being the best? there’s a point where you have to understand perfection isn’t attainable
-
The Bills have a very clear style. Don’t turn the ball over, control possessions, double dip at the half if you can, and only open up when you absolutely need to. you are concerned about a potential scenario of them being down and needing to reel off big plays less than three weeks from a 15 point comeback and victory in 4 minutes . the team CAN come back, but their built to not put themselves in that position
-
If you are a deep shot team who also has elite YAC you are the best offense of the decade. its almost impossible to have both. You need a top end QB plus two elite receivers. However, then you get Cincy, who have no money for an oline and their QB gets hurt every year

And he may be a tiny bit raw too. Another year or two of coaching, and he is going to be a problem for other teams -

That was certainly a point of issue. again, I’m not saying the defense was AMAZING, but they once again forced a turnover, held the other team under 250 yards, and 21 points. not perfect, not the worst -

“Hey, the defense forced the turnover to seal the game as the fins were marching, but let’s not count it so I can falsify reality” did I read you right? -

Miami put up 27 last week against New England. white on Hill isn’t the preferred matchup, but Hill had 49 yards receiving… you act like this game was a 41-40 shootout. Against any team the goal is to hold them to 20 or less. Miami scored 21. not an amazing night, but not SUCK -

From what I saw, in the second half Miami rushed 4, dropped a spy, and the played 2 high. Allen needed to use the flat and screens more, and I didn’t see that adjustment from him until later in the 4th -

We absolutely should not have lost this game. outgained Miami by a ton, won by 10, and won the turnover battle. i get it wasn’t a blowout, but Buffalo was the better team -

Defense was fine. They weren’t extraordinary, but they were fine. Tua had under 150 yards before the final few plays, and they held Achane. they needed more pressure, but they certainly didn’t SUCK -

There’s a big positive to take from this game: Offense had issues, defense had issues, still score 31 points and win by 10. that means the talent of the team is really really solid. -
Honestly, I think he is actively taking a safer approach this season through two games. He is very tentative when it comes to tucking and running with the ball so far and only running when absolutely needing to. There have even been a few times where he has decided to force a throw over a 6-7 yard run, which I haven't seen from him before. He will have 1-2 plays a game where he may get some contact going, but otherwise he is being safer in my opinion through two games.

If Knox is around next year, it's on a restructured deal. He is simply too expensive. From what I understand, he loves Buffalo, and does not want to leave. That would point me to a restructured deal and a reduced role, before signing year to year for a while.
-
They have another new OC, I wonder if they are dealing with some Ken Dorsey type issues. Their offense looks VANILLA
-
Tua is NOT playing well right now. With the way our front 4 have been getting to the QBs, I dont think it's going to go well for them. Benford and White will lock down Waddle and Hill. Achane is a problem, but he is banged up and with Taron Johnson is back along with Bernard and Dorian Williams I'm not overly concerned. Bills 38 Dolphins 17

The Bills are a top 5 offense no question again this season. Look at other teams, the only offenses that look as complete (can dominate via the run or the pass) are Baltimore and maybe Green Bay/Detroit. Season is early, there are obviously things to work on, but Brady continues to show he is a strong OC who know's how to use what he has on the team to put points on the board.
